The on-screen keyboard popping up when ever I select a text box (ie. Google search) while I'm connected to keyboard dock? I'm on a TF201 KatKiss 5.1.1
and started a few days after I updated to 5.1.1 so I believe a setting got changed somewhere, but where?

Had to disable it in setting> language & input> current keyboard (uncheck)

Does anybody know of a widget to toggle between two input methods without having to open up a text field and long press?
Ideally I would want a widget with the option to pick two. Each tap would move it along the list and activate that input method.
I have my Touchpad paired up with a Bluetooth keyboard using BlueKeyboard JP to pair the device. This seems to work well but after some time the keyboard times out and goes to sleep. Waking up it does not pair unless I toggle the input mode and press the connect button on the keyboard at the same time.
When not using the keyboard I use Thumb Keyboard 4. For most daily activity this is fine but the full keyboard is great for longer messages.
A toggle would let me quickly get the keyboard setup before I go into the app/apps that need the input, then quickly get back to my mobile setup.
Thanks
Hi all,
Installed Swype on Asus Transformer Prime, now whenever I type on the keyboard dock it seems to be stuck on US keyboard settings; i.e when I type the @ symbol I get " instead and likewise the £ no longer works. I've checked all of the keyboard and language settings and they all say English(UK).
Help! Major annoyance!
Fixed!
In languge & Input the Default has to say Asus keyboard, not Android Keyboard.
I am attempting to connect a bluetooth keyboard to my Nexus Q. Because the Q has no native touch/keyboard interfaces I have been controlling it by sending key events via ADB.
I have installed BlueKeyboard JP and need to activate it. That is done under Settings -> Language & Input. I need to check the checkbox next to BlueKeyboard JP. I can't seem to find a keyboard event that will do check the box. I have replicated the issue on my Nexus 7 where I can simply tap the checkbox to toggle it. Using the bluetooth keyboard on my Nexus 7 I am unable to toggle the same checkbox using any key on the physical keyboard. Any ideas?
Not sure if it's the same thing, but I was trying to toggle a checkbox using a keyboard connected via USB OTG. Took me a little while to figure it out, but it's as simple as tapping the Enter key. However, you need to make sure the checkbox has focus first by TAB-bing to it.

Make sure the "Physical Keyboard" Switch is turned "On" when you have the dock connected. If you open a e-mail/note or any field that supports text entry, you can click the keyboard icon on the lower right side of your screen (next to the time/wifi icons etc.) Alternatively, you can find the options via Settings -> Language & Input -> Keyboard & Input methods
Also make sure that it's set to "Asus English (US) Keyboard" (or whatever default language it is you use), but double check whether it's the Asus keyboard and not a custom one. If you have any custom keyboard apps/mods/skins/themes installed, try uninstalling those to figure out if any one of them may be causing the incompatibility.
Lastly, if all of this doesn't work, perhaps something's wrong with your dock or the connector. If reseating (disconnecting/reconnecting the dock) doesn't help, and possibly resetting the device to factory defaults or re-installing the ROM you're currently on, you might wanna get it checked out and possibly contact Asus for an RMA.
When I plug the tablet to the dock I see this popup where or how do I set this?
I use thumb keyboard which I've set to my default input device (when not docked) in Settings/Language & Input. When I first got my dock and docked the Prime it said that. I went into Language & Input and set the default input to the Asus keyboard thinking that the dock would not work properly. After getting frustrated using the Asus touchscreen keyboard I changed my default back to Thumb keyboard. Ever since I did that I've never seen that message again.
