Notification peek card on ambiant mode screen - Asus ZenWatch 2

Hello, since latest firmware upgrade, notifications peek cards on ambiant mode are unreadable, they got mixed with the underneath layer watchface instead of being overlayed like before. The result is completely unreadable notifications until i tap the screen to wake it up. See attached image. Is there a way to fix it? I remember few months ago it was not like that.

Cubot Note S - Vertical white lines on the Screen (software error)

Hi, I bought new "Cubot Note S", what I discovered in the first use was "display whitish" lines lying vertically, when set to high brightness.
At first, I thought it was hardware problem, but later I observed, actually those white(ish) lines are present when:
- screen brightness is higher than about 70%
- and when display is showing darker colors (mainly for notification bar)
- or when using camera.
And also, when moving notification bar up and down, those "whitish" lines moves sideways!
I found one solution for this problem, with the help of "MiraVision" user mode settings, by altering "Color temperature, brightness, and contrast".
You can see the problem and solution in the VIDEO.

Questions:
1) Is it really software error, or hardware problem?
2) If it is a software problem, is there any stable custom rom for "Cubot Note S" ?
Thanks!

Send the phone back to where you got it for a refund.
Many traits with the cubot note s include -
Doesn't boot up and hangs.
Boots up and the sim icon is missing.
Screen burn.
Boots up and sdcard missing.
Problems connecting to wifi.
The ota updater is dangerous and should never be used.
It has a couple of malware apps in system.
Volume button not working as it should.
There are also lots of pro's of course so it is worth £50, but only £50, no more than this.

Whatsapp convo "stuck" underneath the display

I know the title sounds crazy, so let me explain.
I've had this issue for quite a long time now but never gotten into it.
Basically, when I open a white image or whatever light colored app/background, I can recognize a Whatsapp conversation in transparency, almost like it's stuck underneath the display.
So I tried opening the recovery to clear cache and I noticed the same exact thing when the recovery was loading (light blue background).
You can find a picture below. The top portion is my phone's display while the bottom is a screenshot found on Google (cause I needed the old layout for Whatsapp chats).
By the way, the phone I'm having trouble with is a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge updated to Android 7.0 (the update didn't fix the issue).
Thanks to everyone in advance
This is known as image retention or burn-in. It is a characteristic of OLED/AMOLED displays when the same images are held at high brightness/intensities for long periods of time. There are apps/tools/methods which claim to reduce, remove or in some way fix the problem but please do your research as there is a good chance they can make the problem worse or introduce new problems. I have not investigated further other than methods of prevention. Also, organic light emitting diodes/pixels have a given lifespan. The screen will lose brightness and color accuracy over time. Blue diodes will fade first, then green, then red.

'Curved Panoramic Light' doesn't work properly

Hi everyone ,
I've got the chinese Find X 256Gb (PAHM00) and there are issues with the 'curved panoramic light'.
If somebody is calling me, the screen lights up, showing the number and the 'curved panoramic light' lights up too.
But the main problems are the messages and notifications. If my phone lays down for a while (standby) and i recieve a message, the screen lights up showing the message on a banner and turns off after a few seconds, no 'curved panoramic light'. I tried several different settings/options, but there are always only two results: 1. as mentioned above, 2. the screen stays black and the phone just rings, no 'curved panoramic light'.
One time, the phone was in my pocket and i recieved a message, I immediately pulled it out, the screen was black and the 'curved panoramic light' lit up, but only two times. I can't reproduce this.
What's wrong with my phone? I even did a factory-reset, but without positive results.
Does anybody have the same problems or a solution?
Thanks.
@Oppo-newbie
Settings --> Smart & Convenient --> Gesture & Motion --> Turn off "Screen-off Gestures"
This option is already turned off. The 'Raise to Turn On Screen' is off too.

Panoramic ligth does work here, but only 2 times. I believe that's normal. So don't expect it to keep flashing, it's just 2 times and that's it.. (Probably would kill the battery if it kept flashing.
No, Oppo says: 'When someone is calling or there are new notifications that just came in, the curved edges will light up, continuously.' ( I can't put in the Oppo link ) . On the website, they also say, that the curved light doesn't work if 'Turn On Screen Notifications' is enabled and I think that this is my problem, but I don't have this setting in my menu.
Same question i want to ask.
Any idea how to keep the light flashing until i read the message?
hope they fix Light Options...
I’ve only ever seen 2x for notifications and infinite for calls. I think you’re experiencing the feature exactly as designed
Same here. Could you fix it? I mean, if this is how it's supposed to work , it's pointless.

As for now, this feature is ridiculous. I couldn't find a solution. Hopping Oppo will fix it with an update.
By the way: can anyone tell, if it is the same for the 'global' version?
The Edge panoramic light is working like i had hoped it would. I receive the same problem as well. If anyone know which exact method to have the settings too, that would help greatly as I'm about to loose my mind with this phone and its mysterious operational system.

are you saying if you have lock screen magazine on it will work more effectively, please clarify thanks .
Mine works completely fine. Have global version CPH1871EX.
I have the screen clock on standby active and also the lockscreen magazine.
Also please check if the Turn on Screen for Notifications in set to OFF in the Notifications & Status Bar settings. Might be the reason why your display switches on instead of showcasing the panaromic notification light. BTW the notification light comes only twice over the edges and not more.
Here, I got it working after hours of try and error. Actually, it was a theme issue for me. First of all I turned off "Turn on screen for notifications" option in "Notification and statusbar" menu. This is what I did next:
0. Set lockscreen from the default theme
1. Turn on Lockscreen Magazine
2. Click on a like button, read a story
3. Turn off Lockscreen Magazine
4. Open Themes -> me -> my wallpapers
5. Set any wallpaper as lockscreen one

Expanded screen mode (autohide top status bar and lower nav bar) locks up tablet

I have been running my Tablet Z (pollux_windy) on the latest Oreo release (15.1) . Have installed a few nightly updates - but the problem below keeps occurring.
It generally runs really well - but I have discovered something that seems to be causing issues for me and wondered if anyone else has the same issue.
I like to use the full real estate of the screen, so found the Settings/Display/Expanded desktop setting that lets you hide the top status bar and the lower navigation keys go into autohide mode (you swipe up from the bottom of the screen to see them).
First time I enabled them all seemed great - Then I left the tab and the screen timed out.
I tried to wake it up (using the power button or double tap on the screen) - Nothing.
Tried this quite a few times over a few minutes.
Did a Hard power off.
Restarted eventually. Seemed ok until the screen blanked out - then the same as above.
I did eventually get the screen to wake back up without a reboot by trying the double tap and quick press of the power key. But it took quite a few attempts.
Finally I turned the full screen mode off (ie brings back the status bar and nav controls) and everything was back to normal behaviour - ie always wakes back up when required.
I have tried changing the expanded desktop mode several times and it always locks things up after the screen times out so have now given up on it.
Anyone else finding that setting this mode causes lockups?

Hello!
Please write your problem to an official bugreport https://wiki.lineageos.org/bugreport-howto.html to let the LOS developers team about the encountered issue.
Thanks. Signed up to add the fault and found someone witha different device reporting the same bug around a week ago.
Added my confirmation of the problem with different hardware.
Fingers crossed someone may have a look at it when time allows.

Question Lockscreen is broken on my main profile

I've been documenting my struggles with my lock screen in another thread. But I just had a major breakthrough and didn't want this to get buried.
To recap, my lockscreen has been a buggy mess from day one. The fingerprint sensor barely works, the fingerprint icon randomly disappears, and the gray border that's supposed to appear around the fingerprint icon simply doesn't show up. The lockscreen doesn't light up when I pick up the phone either (it stays dimmed). Also, wallpapers don't show up on the lock screen, and the big ugly clock sometimes disappears or moves itself to the top-left.
I've tried just about everything to fix this. As a last-ditch effort, I added a new user profile only to find that the lockscreen works perfectly well for this new profile (but still not for my main one).
Here's my main profile with the unusable lockscreen:
broken lockscreen of main profile
Watch "broken lockscreen of main profile" on Streamable.
streamable.com
And here's what it looks like when using the other profile:
working lockscreen on new profile

So there's clearly some obscure bug that most people aren't experiencing here. I'd love to just figure it out so I can move on.
When I didn't have the "always on display" turned on, the phone was very consistant about turning on properly when I picked it up. I ran it this way for 3-4 days without any issues.
After reading some articles on the P6, I realized that it has an AOD and that it was turned off. So I turned the AOD on while leaving all the other settings set the same. At first, the finger print icon wouldn't appear consistantly, but that is because I had adjusted the animation scale settings in the Developer settings. Changing that back to stock fixed the issue with the finger print icon not showing up.
That beings said, I have experienced the same "unresponsive" screen many times over the last couple of days that I have had the AOD turned on. The screen stays dimmed (or even turned off if I pull the phone out of my pocket) and the finger print reader is inactive (even though the icon is displayed). The screen is suppose to turn on when I lift the phone up, but it doesn't always do it. When this happens, I have to either manually turn the screen on using the power button, or double tap the screen to wake it. This is clearly a bug in the system somewhere. I probably need to report it to Google, but hopefully it is fixed soon.
After spending way too long on this, I've determined that the bug occurs consistently with these specific settings (although it may also occur for similar ones):
Lock after screen timeout: 30 minutes (or anything high enough to prevent it from locking between tests)
Power button instantly locks: disabled
Lift to check phone: disabled
Tap to check phone: disabled
Always show time and info: enabled
Replication steps:
1) Enter the above settings
2) Press the Power button to go to the lockscreen
3) Set your phone down for a couple seconds
4) Pick your phone back up and try to use the fingerprint sensor
Result: The fingerprint sensor won't work the first time.
I think all the other issues I had were actually stemming from this one issue.
