Did you unlock the Bootloader? As far as I know you need an unlocked bootloader to be rooted. Just use any root checker app from the Play Store. (If I understood your implications/question correctly)
No this doesn't root the lgg5
No no. I didnt do anything. When i buy phone, enter gmail and my phone install apps that i have on g4. And install superuser app. Now i have triger root. I left my phone on screen repair and they told me that i have rooted phone. All app that need root to work cant work because i dont have rooted phone. Bootloader is locked.

When i go in secret menu it write that i triger root by installing superuser app.
After i write to all lg i was find, they repair my phone but because i was boring them. They told me that i root my phone (how to root without unlock b.?). I send them screen shots with pictures with root checker apps but them dont use that apps because LG have own app. And they told me if i find someone with same problem to call them.
Because i ask here to find someone with same problem

Which model do you have? I'd jump for joy and install AdAway asap because I got a free rooted lg g5 lol
H850
You read very bad. All root checker apps say that phone is not rooted. All apps that need root for work, cant work because phone is not rooted. I am in opposite side that you write. I have unrooted phone that write that i triger root by instaling app. Try. Install superuser and then check. I buy phone one hour before i triger root

I've tried rooting with Framaroot 1.9.3, also RootGenius and SRSroot without success.
Can anyone please suggest other tools to try? Or must I wait for a new exploit to turn up?
I really want to root it, not least so I can try remapping the memory as it's already running out of program space!
Thanks.

I got root/SU for this eventually using Vroot, then installed SuperSU - be warned, Vroot claims to install SuperSu but actually installs some Chinese-language superuser tool.
For some reason, rooting meant that the SDcard went read-only again, so I had to use SDfix again. Everything else works OK after that, but now Titanium Backup claims "insufficient free space" both on the internal and external SD. Most odd!
It Works!

It works! Thanks! But the PDAnet driver is really necessary for the success rooting method. And you also should turn app permission manager off.

That's true, I think it was in the Vroot instructions. I don't know about PDAnet drivers, I just plugged it into the laptop that I keep for all this sort of work, it has HTC and other drivers on, and has reflashed and rooted a bunch of different handsets.
Have you got the Alps/Haipai S5 then? And have you taken a ROM backup of it? I messed up my device after rooting it, only to discover my ROM backup was corrupt... Sigh. So I am looking for another copy of the firmware!
Vroot
Used Vroot can root any type of China Phone/tab ivbeen worked in.
Its install some chinese leanguage apps, but, in general, ivbeen chase good results with Vroot and flashify
Is "ALPS S5" same as "USMART S5"?
I'm wondering whether "ALPS S5" is "USMART S5"? Because I can only find a few info about "USMART S5", and the data stored in my "USMART S5" shows that the manufacturer is ALPS......
Hey, i currently have a LG G3 Vigor on Sprint which is like the G3's little brother. I have searched and searched and no luck for root. I was wondering if anyone can help me find a rooting method. I will tell you which programs i have used below.
Stump Root - I tried Stump Root plenty of time and it say's my phone is not supported/patched, plus the brute force was grayed out.
Towel Root - I tried many different code combinations and no luck. When ever i try some codes the button stays highlighted and app freezes for a while then closes without a force close message.
Framaroot - Frodo was the only exploit available and still no luck.
All PC Roots (Purple Drake, IOroot, ect.) - Once i get rebooted to recovery the computer reads device as unrecognized, yet i have the LGE Drivers installed, and i have tried ADB Drivers. I may just have some wrong drivers install.
SD Card (Update.zip) - I got the root.zip from the Purple Drake files and formatted my SD Card to EXT2 and when i try to install the .zip via recovery it fails to install every time.
Other - I've also tried apps like Kingo Root, and some Chinese apps, but still no luck

Okay, well I'm guessing nobody can help then, or even put out a suggestion.... [emoji22]
I've tried same thing except purple drake. Was thinking ill get same results. Im guessing not a high demand to root the vigor so we gets no love.
This is disappointing
I got the Vigor because I didn't want to carry around a tablet in my pocket (LG G3, HTC One M8, Samsung S5 etc.). I know that the Vigor is a little underpowered in comparison, but I didn't expect it to be completely ignored here.
This will root the vigor http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3049772

So recently i started having problems with a "Settings" up appearing on the app settings that shows ads and another app (Im not sure if they are the same) called com.chunmei.calculator and the settings app keeps reinstalling itself despite 360 Security detecting and removing it also the chinese calculator app was apperantly detected as installed on the play store but it said it wasnt installed from it, i uninstalled it anyway but it keeps coming back.
These ads started appearing if i remember correctly after i installed an update using System Update and i don't know how to remove them so im wondering if ill need to flash a new ROM (AKA brick my device on accident) which i have no idea how to do or what.
My phone is a Leagoo M8 running the rebranded Android 6.0 it came with.

You must have downloaded a malware that's now installing others. You can use any of the following alternatives to get your device fixed.
1 Reinstall/flash your stock ROM and flash only the system.img since that's where the apps are installed.
2 Root your device, then you use a root explorer to locate and remove all the malwares.
3 Use a Software tool like CM2 to remove malwares.
Or visit a technician if the above can't be achieved.

1 Like i said i have no clue how to do that especially how to do it without basically wasting 100 euros on a phone for nothing.
2 I don't even know if there's a root for the Leagoo M8 and how to root it or where to find it.
3 I can't even find a program called CM2 on google search.
4 Implying my mom will let me waste her money for fixing the phone.
So why are you here, is it not to learn how to solve your device issues?

If Malware
If you have malware or any other similar then i would recommend downloading Malwarebytes Anti Malware from Play Store. It should delete the malware for you but if it doesn't work then try similar virus apps.
I have the same in a Leagoo M5 Plus, I even flashed the stock ROM several times and the malware keeps reinstalling itself. Any help?

There is one tool Inferno MTK which required box but I found cracked version which you can use without box !

Well...
The fake "shell" is the 1.0 one. If you desperately wanna remove these, try KingoRoot or sth, do a real root, and kill these (try a root uninstalling app, get in Play Store). BUT GRANT ACESS ONLY TO THE APP REMOVER! Kthxbai
Greetings,
Just purchased my LG K92 5G
Trying to Root, but I can't find a guide to do so.
Is there a walk through that I can follow?
TWRP doesn't have anything on their site.
I'd rather not use any of the One click rooters, but if I have to.......
Really just trying to get rid of the bloatware that comes installed on this device.
It's a Cricket phone, if that makes a difference.
Thanks and good Karma for anyone that can help.
