Duh, how do I change the Timer notification sound - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Sounds like a stupid question but I haven't figured it out yet. I did try searching already too!
Anyway like the title says I cannot figure out how to change the notification sound when the Timer function in the Clock app goes off. I had the G4 before this one and I think it had a menu option for this.
Thanks in advance..
BTW i have VS98715A.

Haven't been able to find this myself. I ended up downloading the Google Clock app just for timer. Such a stupid oversight.

[SOLVED] What is this symbol in my notification bar?

**EDIT** Figured out what it was! It was from the app "power control plus" which adds toggles to your notification pull down..
Sorry this might seem like a dumb question but, what is this symbol to the left on the top of my notification bar? The circle power looking symbol that the red arrow is obviously pointing to..
That I don't know; would assume it's an app that you've downloaded otherwise it would be on the right side, but can you please tell me how you got your lock screen to look so pretty-ful?
What does it say if you open notifications? For some reason, it makes me think think of a timer or stopwatch.

That is almost identical to the universal power button icon, except with the power icon the line points at 12 o'clock.
I searched on a number of sites with legends of Android notification icons, and could not find this one. When did the icon appear, and what had you installed prior to that?
Looks like you have a timer enabled in the alarms menu.

I have checked stock alarm, Gentle Alarm, and Alarm Clock Extreme.
None have this icon. Maybe the OP downloaded another 3rd party alarm app?
You've turned on the timer for a camera..
Ehhhh wrong... notification toggle... I think. I had to use this on my atrix.
Edit: looks like I was wrong too.. I can't remember what its called but I used to use this app. It had a full set of toggles in the notification bar.

Found it.
It's Power Control Plus.
Power Control Plus Widget
Jogged my memory when you mentioned toggles ChongoDroid, so I looked through all my TiBu apps, restored a couple, and found it was this one.

OP, next time could you please update with a new post, or edit the subject with [SOLVED]. When you edit the OP it doesn't update and view that there is a new post/edit, so we typically don't look at the OP again. I just noticed I found what your problem was 2 hours after you posted you had fixed it. Could have saved me quite a bit of time if I knew you had resolved your problem. Cheers.

Screen on Sound??

I have posted about this exact same question before, so I knew the answer but it's not working this time...
I just loaded Eternity rom on my phone, and the sound that happens when the weather widget has sounds enabled keeps happening. I switched to a different clock widget, didnt work, I removed it entirely, still plays the sound!
I looked through menus to find any kind of start up sound, but can't find any settings. Am I missing something?
Click on the weather part of the clock and hit menu, you should know what to do by then.

I removed it entirely and it still happened. I figured out it was the weather live wall paper. I couldn't see any settings for it, but new background and it's finally gone. Why would anyone POSSIBLY think that was a good idea?? Insanely annoying...
simozeszj pretty much said it, you just have to hit menu in the weather ape and go to the settings. You'll see a toggle for sound effects there.

Widgetsoid

Does anyone know if when I use this on my notification bar is there a way to avoid me clicking on it 2x? Example to turn off wifi I drop down the bar click on the wifi signal, then it takes me to "sounds "and I have to click it again.
Anyway around this.?
I'm just posting here so that way you don't feel know one cares.
I honestly don't how to get multiple options per notification.
Set your toggles and adjust them in "Global Settings"

**edit** - Sorry, I misunderstood what you were looking to do. No, there is no way around that....the notification display is for convenience, and not directly written to be functional from the dropdown.

[Q] Is there a way to disable SMS balance popup notification tone?

I am on the latest UHLPS rom.
The balance popup after I send a text message gives me a notification tone, which is very annoying.
In earlier versions this did not happen.
Can anyone help me in this?

Thanks.
I already checked it out.
But I am not looking for this.
This app disables the ussd popups.
But I dont want to disable the popup, instead I just dont want notification tone or vibration when it pops up.
Anyways, thanks for the concern
Hey,
just mute the phone
if you still want other sounds just mute |sounds-notifications-mute| and put |notification vibration level bar to "no vibration"| :good:

Notification BEFORE upcoming alarm. Can I disable this?

I just picked up my new G5 a few days ago and absolutely love this phone. I'm coming out of a G2 which I also loved, so this phone is exactly what I wanted...a bigger, better, badder, faster G2 with a much faster camera. Mission accomplished! There is one thing though which is annoying the crap out of me. I'm guessing it's part of marshmallow since my G2 didn't do this. I use the stock clock widget which gives me quick access to alarms, world clock, stopwatch and countdown timer, all things which I actually use regularly. However, it now pops up a notification in the tray TWO HOURS BEFORE the set alarm time, informing you that you have an upcoming alarm, and asking if you want to dismiss it now! [/run on sentence] Really? If I wanted to be notified two hours earlier, I'd have set the alarm two hours earlier! You can swipe it away, but it comes back. I can't find a way to turn off this function and neither could the LG tech support guy. No I do not wish to root the phone. I like the stock widget except for this one feature which is new apparently. Anyone know a way to disable just this function?
Try disabling notifications for the app while long presing it on the notification bar

Nope. All notification settings in the app are already turned off. Still does it.
Try to long press the notification and disable it
