How EUI occupy SD card - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hello.
I have so far setup enough succesfully my phone with Cuoko92 s18 then dirty flashed with @STEVE_MARSs 21s based ROM. The only problem was strange lack of space on emulated SD. Even after removing music, movies, photos, TWRP backups there were over 10GB used space.
This motivated me setup my phone once again with "Madsurfer's 21s EUI 5.9 Rom". After just flashing ROM there waas almost all SD crad free. Then I installed Xposed libraries, logged into Playstore and installed one app (Bubble UPNP) there is 2GB space occupied on SD. When phone mounted with MTP windows shows that almost 2GB is uccupide but marking all folders (also hidden) I can see their size only about 500kB.
Anybody knows how EUI manages SD space? Is there any mechanizm that allocates the used space about 2GB.

[Q] Memory question

I installed Bionic rom today. I know the phone has 16gb of memory. After install i have 12GB total, and 6GB available. What occupies the rest of 6gb? Is that rom that heavy? I am new so forgive my question.
The rom doesn't take up any storage room room as it's stored in a portion of the internal nand that's not counted. Besides, the rom is only a couple hundred megs large.
2 gigs is used for apps storage, the rest is internal storage (basically you can think of it like an internal sd card). Some space is lost due to file system overhead which you really can't do anything about.
As for where the 6 gigs went, if you were making nandroid backups, you should know they are quite large and can easily eat up a lot of space. If that is the case, delete some of the unimportant backups.
Another option you have, backup the contents of your internal sd card, then format it from the phones options menu. Copy back anything you need. Ensure you at least copy back the update.zip used by rom manager.
thank you.

[Q] Carbon rom 1.8 Insufficient memory

Running a SG i9100, rooted Carbon JB v1.8 stable 4.2.2, Kernel 3.0.64 CM
Been having problems with phone running out of storage. Last time i flashed my phone with CR 1.8 I did a clean install and formatted internal storage and SD card. The problem still occur, not at once but after some weeks etc. When the exclamation mark occur I restart the phone and it dissappear but I can still not update apps or download new ones. Insufficent storage comes up as an error message.
I have moved all my apps to the SD card, still having the same problem.
The funny thing is when I look at the internal storage on my phone it states:
Total space 1.97GB
Available: 188MB
Apps: 1.16GB
Cached data :12.16MB
Simple maths tells me I should have about 800MB free...
Under Downloaded apps it states 1.8GB used and 200MB free.
On SD card states 1.4GB used and 10GB free.
Seems like there are some hidden apps using my memory and I cant figure out which one or something else.
Need some help.. Any ideas gyus?
Cheers

Looking for solutions to a partitioned memory issue with a MTK device...

Hello.
I recently purchased a chinese off brand tablet and had an unexpected issue with the memory being partitioned. The model is vKB011B and it's processor is mt6592. It's running a Mediatek flavour of Lollipop 5.12.
The issue is that, while it has 64GB of internal memory, it's memory has been partitioned into one 4GB block of "Internal Storage" and one 60GB block of "Phone Storage". Apps, and most app data, all install to the 4GB partition so it runs out of memory very quickly. I can side step the issue to some degree by moving apps to "Phone Storage" but only some apps can be moved like this.
Basically I want to gain more access to this memory for the purpose or installing apps. I rooted the device and tried to use App2SD but it seems that this app only works with an External SD. I found a thread here describing a way to tell my device where to install apps but this doesn't appear to have any other option but "internal storage" and "external storage". I tested it just be sure and it doesn't change the install location without an external SD.
So I'm looking for what I can do to make my device install to the 60GB partition and preferably any app data as well.
Alternately I found this thread regarding altering partitions....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/guide-repartition-internal-memory-data-t3052242
But I am uncertain if this will work the same with my particular device since it sounds like his device has unified memory and he's just stealing from the system memory. It also seems fairly risky if there is a means of simply installing to the 60GB partition with out altering it.
Thank you very much for your time.

Visual Land Prestige 7G - Help in Merging Internal Partitions

I have a 8GB Visual Land Prestige 7G tablet that I can't download anymore apps on. Unfortunately, this is not due to lack of space as I still have over 4GB of space left. My problem lies in how the storage space was created.
When made the storage space was split between 3.5GB and 4.5GB, with the first as Internal Storage and later as Internal SD Card. Internal Storage was further decreased by Android Jellybean to ~980MB, which was further decreased to ~500MB from factory installed apps. Unfortunately everything is installed on the Internal Storage, as a result I can't download anymore apps.
I am wanting to find a way to Merge the Partitions in order to use the space fully. I have already rooted the tablet, however I am unable to find any further way to do this as most guides use External SD Cards instead of Internal ones. I am also interesting in using Remix OS on the tablet, however I can't find any guides that are compatible with my device.
I appreciate any and all help anyone can give me in order to use all my space.

Confusion As To Internal Storage Space After Download

Hi!
I had 3.10 GB free space in my Internal Memory. I downloaded Dungeon Hunter 4 which is written as requiring 0.96 GB.
So after download and installing, i had 2.78 GB free space in my Internal Storage.
Shouldn't that be 2.14!??? I'm really confused right now.
You may say that maybe during download, the phone cleared caches just in case but i did cleared caches myself manually before downloading so what gives?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Another Question
Asphalt 8 is listed as needing a free space of 98MB. It then made an additional download of 1.3 GB.
Now my internal storage after this was still around 2.78.
I understand that it downloaded the 98MB part to internal memory and the rest to the SD Card. So effectively, installing the game to SD Card? Seems neat.
So on Android, on storage settings, the part listed as app is the one installed in the internal memory and the part listed as data is installed on SD Card. It's true for all applications on Android, correct?
Please excuse my confusion. This is the first time i'm having an experience of Android.
