S Health on Nexus 7 - Samsung Gear Fit

I'm trying to get the S Health app working on Nexus 7 (old one, wifi only) to use with gear fit 2
I've managed to install it using a downloaded apk
but when I try to open it, it says no sim card detected and does not allow me to go further
is there a way to bypass that? (ie bypass the app trying to detect a sim) or edit the app that it thinks the device actually has a sim?
btw my Nexus 7 is rooted

[Q] Suggest an Android phone for this specific need

I am looking for a way to download device apps such as the Kreyos phone app ( these are all free apps) from Google Play store and be able to get those apk's off of the phone and on to my Android tablet.
I have been using a Nexus 7 which has worked well but the last couple of devices I have purchased, Google Play will not allow me to download the apk because my Nexus 7 is not a phone. So the question is what would be the recommended pre-owned device I should get that will still allow me to download apps meant for an Android phone but still allow me to get to both Google Play and the apk when downloaded.
I realize it is probably a stupid question but I do not know if any Android phone would work like a Galaxy or only a Nexus would work. Would it have to be unlocked?
If it makes a difference, I use Verizon but if a suitable phone was not available or too expensive, I would be willing to go with a phone I could not use on Verizon but still use Google Play on.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Root the Nexus and change the build.prop to say, a Nexus 5, so the Play Store thinks it's a phone.
This article is a bit older, but explains what doing this means and how to do so. http://muzso.hu/2012/10/01/how-to-g...compatible-with-your-...-message-in-google-pl
Just plug in an appropriate newer phone for the settings.

[Q] whatsapp doesnt work on N9 lte

I was a big fan of nexus since few years but never owned a nexus device.
Got my 1st nexus device the nexus 9 LTE but unfortunately cannot make phone calls and no SMS also with my Sim card. I was still fine with it but when I tried installing whatsapp it shows "your device isn't compatible with this version".
I need whatsapp anyhow.
I don't want to root my device also.
Attached is the picture of screenshot of my play store when trying to install Whatsapp.
Whatsapp is working but you have to sideload it. Download at: http://www.whatsapp.com/android/. Then install the apk en follow the instructions. No problem for me.
That works..great stuff..thanks mate...
Can you help me with other stuff too plz
1) use SMS with the Sim card inserted.
2) dialler keypad just to check prepaid credit on the Sim
3) screen mirror of a mobile to my n9
1) For sms I use evolve sms. It's working but you also have to sideload it. Just search for evolvesms 3.01 apk (latest version). I've contacted the creator of the app for enabling access through playstore but it is google who has to enable it because of hardware capabilities.
2) Sorry. Can't help you with this question. Maybe dail-in with hangouts?
3) You can try screenshare on playstore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.springdesign.screenshare.browser.client). There is a seperate version for phones. I haven't tried it.
Bro I tried the screenshare app before of what you asked me to install. It only helps in data sharing.
I want an app which allows screen mirroring . want my tab screen to get displayed on my TV.
My Samsung phone works well with. My TV but this n9 , cast screen doesn't work

Barclays Mobile Banking not working on non-rooted device

Hi
I have an Asus Memo Pad 7 which I have installed Barclays Mobile Banking on, the app is unsupported via the app store but I have installed the alternative way.
However, the app closes/crashes as soon as it opens, the tablet is not rooted so this is throwing me, is there any way to find out why this is happening?

Samsung Gear app for rooted andriod?

I am trying to pair a Gear S, to a rooted android, when I download the Samsung Gear app from the play store and open it, it says that " The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app. Check your system and try again." is there a way around this or another app that I can used with my rooted phone?
Any ideas?
You need to change how the Play Store views your phone by editing the /system/build.prop file to make the play store think your phone is an HTC. It will then deliver the correct version of Samsung Gear app.

It enters the app but doesn't connect to the gear s.

Problems installing Parallel Space?

Got a M5 8.4 WiFi on Amazon's Prime Day last week. Needed to use 2 Facebook accounts with chat. I know Huawei has the App Twin feature but it does not clone FBM Lite (do not wish to use FBM standard due to the bloat). Had been using Parallel Space on my ZTE Axon 7 for a while so tried installing it. However it says it is not compatible on Playstore? Is this because of the OS (EMUI) or CPU (non Snapdragon) does anyone know? Is there a workaround to get it installed (maybe direct apk installation)?
NOTE: Not going to unlock bootloader or root the device due to a very bad experience in the past.
I am able to install it on my 10.8 pro. You can try to install the apk via apkmirror (a more or less secure source other than the play store)

Did you install it directly from Playstore or side load the apk? Playstore throws up the device not compatible message for mine. Same for 2face and 2accounts. App Cloner works but have problems accessing the internet, could be a setting issue.
Also, did you install the 64-bit support for Parallel Space? If so how?
Ok, an update, messing around with the tab a bit more last night, trying to get a working app from Playstore instead of side loading apks. Tried Dr Clone, don't work at all. Then tried App Cloner and it works. The system even recognised the cloned app as a different program to the original, allowing me to apply fingerprint lock to them.

I side loaded APKs for both Parallel Space and the 64-bit support add-on and worked great on my M5 8.4 (SHT-W09). Downloaded from the Game Guardian web site.

Thanks, I solved the problem by using App Cloner, which works better by not having ads. Now going to use it instead of Parallel Space on my phone too.
