Trying to root my Samsung galaxy A8 ( A800F ) running on Android 6.0.1 with September security patch...
Build number.. mmb29ka.800fxxu1bpi2
I have tried almost all rooting methods i.e
Kingoroot
Kingtoot
CF auto root with odin ( file available but for different build number )
Vroot
Iroot
Framaroot
And what not....
All fail ...
Plz help me with sure rooting method .

hey there, thank you for this thread, I have same exact problem, and did try almost all the root methods that you mentioned with no luck...
please let me know if you found a way that works... I just want root supersu... don't care about recovery/kernel/xposed...

No luck so far, but you can try methods mentioned below:
1) Twrp ( 3.2.0)& Supersu metod
2) CFAuto root method
Xda don't allow new user to add external url links so please google it.
Note : Download firmware of your model from sammobile before trying any mehod , incase you soft brick your mobile it will help you to revive it.

autoroot stuck at A8 boot screen with red recovery not se enforcing error....

So I finally managed to root A800F 6.0.1 thanks to @rs1981

Downloaded supersu from:

1. Make sure usb debugging is on and oem unlock is on
2. copy supersu file into phone
3. Turn off phone and go into download mode (vol down+home+power)
4. Connect to pc and flash TWRP file via odine (make sure you untick autoreboot)
5. When flash passes unplug phone and hold (vol down+home+power) immediately once the screen turns black switch to (vol up+home+power) even if you see the red error keep holding and TWRP will open
6. Flash the Supersu file that you copied from TWRP and wipe delvik cache then reboot to system
Supersu should be installed and you should have root.

I found a root file at a chinese site, but I had problems with the initialization. I would appreciate if someone can fix this.

It's easy.
Go to this link fsrv1.sayanogen.com/Pop and download "GalaxyPOP_CWM_SH.tar".
Install it by ODIN and reboot in Recovery Mode. Install the supersu from the sdcard and you get it.

i've just bought the new Lenovo Vibe X2 directly in china (model X2-TO, dual sim), the phone comes with cn firmware without gapps but you can flash the ROW firmware (official X2-EU) that contain the full gapps, but i have the following problem:
using X2-TO firmware: connection possible only in edge
using X2-EU firmware: no radio detected
It's possible to flash a different baseband? Inside the rom package package found at needrom site, i see two different baseband (.img file), but i don't understand how to use it.

Just use any root explorer and copy and replace modem.img in /system/etc/firmware/modem.img with the one from needrom site and set proper permission rw-r-r (644) and reboot your phone .

Dear all
I bought a Vibe X2 in China and installed the ROW ROM. Unfortunately the baseband (2G,3G,4G Modem) will be not recognized. I tried all the recommend root kits but no root kit is working. Do you know how I can root my Vibe X2 in order to install the correct modem image?

I just found this on net but not tested if work or not.
Download and copy SuperSU File on your device’s internal memory

Now connect your phone with USB.
Download, extract the SP flash tool to your local computer and click on Flashboot.exe

Not working there is no any proper root method for root?
I would love for a solution in order to change the baseband on the X2-TO. I'll even pay for it, if someone is willing to put the time in it. I love the phone, but I hate the fact that I can only get EDGE, if I'm lucky.
Unfortunstely, whatever you do, your device can't have 3g network because you bought wrong device. X2-to is based on TD-scdma network which just used in china, china telecom, and can only have 2g if you use wcdma. You should buy x2-cu version which is wcdma version.
Anyway I still looking for root method since I can't move my data without root access.. pleas tell me if anyone know. Thanks

Use "360 Root" mobile app version. Tested on Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 Lite SM-G313H. :good: :good: :good:
It's a chinese app, but it will do the trick as the only rooting method for this phone (Kitkat 4.4.2) beside Z3X Box !

I have found a solution for rooting and flashing twrp recovery in your phone
1ST STEP:-
download kingoroot app for android for that just type kingoroot in google
enable usb debugging and developer option
open kingo app and click root.
thats it you hav rooted your mobile
2nd step:-
FLASHING CWM AND THEN TWRP
i recommend TWRP for ace 4 but unfortunately you cannot flash zip file without custom recovery
download odin in pc
download cwm recovery for odin from the link given below.

put the recovery.tar in AP tab in odin
enable usb debugging and put your phone in recovery mode.

Root Process:
Step 1: So A5 has many variants under it and so i have provided chain fire root kit for all of them, so choose the kit as per your device model and download it on your PC. Once downloaded you have to create a folder named A5 on desktop and extract the contents of the downloaded zip file inside it.
Step 2 : After you do the above step now you have to download the famous Odin for A5 which will utilize the above kit and root your A5 .
Step 3 : Now we need our device in download mode so to do that turn off your A5 and then press home button along with the power button and the down button of volume all of them together until the mode loads up.
When mode loads up you have to use the USB cable to connect the device to PC.
Step 4 : Now when you open the Odin software which you just now installed on your computer, you will see a message saying added which means that A5 is added to Odin.
Step 5 : Once added you will see a button on which PDA/AP is written which upon clicking you have to select a file named .tar.md5 from the extracted folder which you kept on desktop.
Step 6 :After you do that, you will have to for sure follow this point before hitting start so click on F.Reset time and Auto reboot options and then you can click start.
Step 7 : When you hit start the Odin by using the root kit files, will root your device and will take around 2 – 3 minutes may be less then that to complete its process and when it is done successfully then it will show a message saying PASS which means the root access has been achieved on A5 , If Failed Follow Below Steps
Here is a problem , If ODIN saying RESET then your device will be rebooted and rooted successfully but it already destroyed boot.img and recovery.img . don't worry we are going to solve this issue with some simple steps. Download Falshify from above links and install after that download firmware for your device from above links then rename the Firmware_File_Name.tar.md5 to Firmware_File_Name.tar then open it using winrar and extract boot.img , recovery.img then copy it to your device storage and flash both of them using Flashify . don't reboot after flashing one image,flash both image then reboot.

What can I do? I followed all steps and did also the last one, because ODIN said RESET after flashing the root file. And after extracting and flashing the both .img files my cellphone didn't boot the system, it just went into the recovery when I tried to boot it normally. So I flash the firmware again with ODIN.
I just want to know:
1) What really happens when ODIN says RESET after flashing a file? You said that at that point the files "recovery.img" and "boot.img" are destroyed. What do you really mean with that? Are they deleted from the cellphone?
2) Mean this that the cellphone won't boot anymore if turn it off and then try to turn it on again?
3) What would happen if I flash the Root file and ODIN says RESET after flashing but I don't flash the both .img files? Would my cellphone work normally or not?

The last week I had a similar issue stuck on KARBONN logo.
I used Stock from XDA Firmware xdafirmware.com/karbonn-mach-five
Download the necessary drivers (a must) .
The downloaded compressed file will have SP flash tool with it .
1 .Open "flash_tool.exe" under "\SP Flash Tool v5.1516" folder (with admin privileges) .
2 .Navigate to the "Download" section .
3. Click on the "Scatter-loading". Browse "MT6582_Android_scatter.txt" under "Firmware" .
4. Now this will give you a list of files to flash that comes from the "\Firmware" folder . Make sure every files load correctly to the list(location can be seen to the right of the item to be flashed) . Especially "Android" which correspond to the system.img file in the \Firmware which I think which actually solves the android system related files' problems.
5. Now Power off your phone .

6. Now click on the Download sign in the SP flash tool window . Connect your phone with the USB cable immediately and click on the volume up or down for SP flash tool to detect your phone. If the phone gets detected SP flash tool throws some info on the left pane. Then the files will start flashing . Flashing status is provided by a yellow bar at the bottom of the window.
7. After the flash is complete a green ok popup.
8. Boot your phone to recovery and Wipe the cache partition.
9. Restart the phone.
This worked with my MACHFIVE . Wishing you luck :good:.
*Flashing always have a risk of bricking your phone. Think twice before you act . I will not take responsibility.
*Always take any errors in SP flash tool seriously and consult expert advice before continuing
*Even if you are stuck on boot if you have enabled USB debugging you can use adb pull to pull your data from memory.

Especially "Android" which correspond to the system.img file in the \Firmware which I think which actually solves the android system related files' problems.
5. Now Power off your phone .

6. Now click on the Download sign in the SP flash tool window . Connect your phone with the USB cable immediately and click on the volume up or down for SP flash tool to detect your phone. If the phone gets detected SP flash tool throws some info on the left pane. Then the files will start flashing . Flashing status is provided by a yellow bar at the bottom of the window.
7. After the flash is complete a green ok popup.
8. Boot your phone to recovery and Wipe the cache partition.
9. Restart the phone.

Sir thank you so much for replying have been waiting for weeks for the solution..
1)Downloaded the files
2)Installed drivers
3)Started flash tool and loaded scatter file
4)Clicked on download
5)Powered off phone and connected via usb
6)Flashing process started
7)Flashing finished and green ring appeared!!!
8)Device booted after some time.
