I'm about to buy this toy, but i want to know some things that i cant find before i buy it.
I was interested about tegra 2 devices with great graphics in gaming so can u tell me what FPS this tablet get in Quadrant , and how it runs Dungeon Defenders ?
I heard it have multitouch but i cant find anywhere how good multi touch it is so how much fingers it can use , and does the touches stuck or they dont go as they should do ?
Does it have problem as Optimus 2X that reboots ?
And last, why it is so cheap ?

It plays Dungeon Defenders just fine with the rom I have installed (VEGAn 5.1.1). Also with the Clemsyn overclocked kernel I get scores in Quadrant that are higher than the Xoom.
It only has 2 point multitouch support and that works very well on mine.
No reboot issue on my device.
Viewsonic is relabeling it from someone else and the screen is a cheap netbook screen. The screen quality is up for debate (mainly viewing angles) but I have no problem with it considering the price of the tablet.

The reason of cheap price is because of poor support from manufacturor and problematic stock ROM. But it has excellent CPU core and graphic performance.
And i will dont have warranty, so do you have any problems that should i count with when i buy it from Amazon ?

That's two point multitouch. I ran the multitouch visual test shown in that video, and got similar results to those shown in the video, which would confirm two point touch.

Just installed and ran the test the multi touch works like the Galaxy on the right.
And i hope last question.
I heard it have real big problems with force closing, so custom ROMs will fix it, or it will keep force closing forever ?...

Basically rebuilding the code to work with the Android system. Not easy, needs to be done from the ground up.

I'm sure it's possible for any game, but you have to think about processing power. GTA3 was a ps2 game, released in 2001, and it can BARELY run on most android devices now.

One, as stated above, that game will probably never run on an android device. And two, you are asking a LOT. It would take a team of people months, if not over a year to get it working.
Have you tried installing a bochs emulator and installing the game on the image lol :-D

Doom would probably be possible people already have it running on Playstation Portable if I remember correctly they even had Quake II working and I'd bet money the EVO 3d is more powerful than a PSP.
I had Doom running on my iPod Nano 1G with iPod Linux. Doom is possible and easy to port (from a developer's perspective) because it is open source and the game engine code is readily available. GTA III is closed-sourced. Rockstar did not port the game themselves; a different company did. Rockstar is the publisher and distributer.
Well, i could play the original KOTOR on a comp with much much much lower specs then my evo, and yes i tried bochs but it sucked. gta3 works swimmingly on my evo 3d, and its ported from the pc version not the ps2. thats why pc cheats work. so, as i said, any dev able could really earn some money.

I used to play the old Doom on my MOTO ROKR E6. The phone was great with only 312Mhz Intel PXA 270 processor and 4MB RAM and 8MB internal memory. It was also able to play NES,SNES,PSX,GBA etc on full speed. Duke Nukem, couter strike and old DOOM were ported to it more than 4 years ago. It was also able to run some windows versions using DosBOX. The phone was expandable upto 2GB but a kernel made it to support 32GB sdcards as well...........
The only reason for such compatibility that I can think of is that all those apps were designed to make use of the CPUs full potential.

But porting a game to another device often requires emulation, which requires about 2-3 times the processing power as the original game did.
So again, just to be clear, unless you have say $50,000 or more to pay a team of workers, this isn't going to happen.

thats weird, my evo runs fine with gta 3. must be your evo. don't tell me that the evo runs gta bad, it runs it ine with me even at one [email protected], just tested. its definetly enough to run kotor. well, what do you have to do to port a game? how hard can it really be?

Which GTA are you talkin about? The old old one or the newest one? I know it would take awhile to build and port it over if you start from scratch on the touch input and everything else graphic wise...

don't buy it if you need it for daily use, its not as far as that, and gaiming is no option and will never be!

batterydrain is too high, atleast charching every 12hours needed!
it is developing in huge steps but it still needs time, and it will never be like a native android phone!

The phone can be overclocked. If you want it to be stable, I would not go above 650MHz or so, although some reported OK results at 710. Even 650 Angry Birds would be fairly slow, even with backgrounds disabled, although I have not tried at all with the latest GB builds. Even Jewels and Solitaire stutters badly at times.
GB is pretty stable on my RHOD400 (Sprint CDMA TP2), but BT does not work, and camera seemingly either. I agree with other posters that GB with the latest kernels had improved battery life quite a bit vs. FroYo.

It's a great option, it just doesn't fit your particular needs.
I can't imagine choosing angry birds over the best world class mobile keyboard in existence, but different strokes for different folks.

I think Doodle Jump actually does work. Fruit Ninja does. Angry Birds does not (crashes on startup). I don't know about Temple Run.

For grins and giggles I just tried the latest update of Angry Birds 2.1.1 on Sprint TP2 oc'd to 710400. It takes a painfully long time to load, near 2-3 minutes. If you let the phone go into "light sleep" while it loads, the game crashes. If you keep it alive, then after it loads with the background disabled it is playable, although slow, and level to level transitions take long. It is better than I remember on Froyo.
I agree with others, with great keyboard, decent screen resolution, it is OK with the latest GB, especially after all the audio libraries got baked in, for text, light to moderate internet browsing, puzzle (non-graphics intensive) games, and TETHERING. GPS also works fine, with Google Maps navigation working.
Temple Run is paid on Android for some reason, free on iPhone.

I could swear I could see the paid version in Froyo. Just tested with GB, you are right, it does not show up in the latest Market version.
One way or another, it is a no go on this device.

If you want to play games, don't get a phone with an Adreno130... Get something with at least an Adreno200+ if you want to play recent games!
This device runs Android surprisingly well, but again if you're just buying it to run Android, don't. Buy an Android phone...

Nearly resolved just need the following confirmed :
1.Shadowgun/Dead Trigger works smoothly.
2.Temple Run works flawlessly.
3.1280x720(yes 720p) mp4,mkv,m4v videos play via stock player smoothly(i.e video&audio in sync , no artifact in videos)
4.Does the phone feel slow or lagging.

Exactly, there isn't much else anyone can say to answer your question, other then to send a complaint to the makers of those games.
The video on youtube you keep referring to shows a Samsung Galaxy S3 having trouble with those games. Now remember, just buying a Samsung Galaxy S3 will set you back about 50% of the money a desktop pc would cost that IS able to run more demanding 3D graphics and better suited to play games that have those graphics.
Now I have nothing against gaming, I do it myself all the time, but I do it on my home pc, which is much more comfortable. The makers of these games are not going to spend the amounts they do on desktop versions of their games for the development of phone versions of their games, because the market is much smaller and the price they can ask it is much lower. I understand you're angry that you spent (unless you just downloaded a cracked apk lol) money on them, but I'd stick to simpler ones if you really want to game on your phone. Just for kicks, I tried Punch Hero and it ran just fine. Reminded me of playing Punch-Out on the Nintendo 8-bit as a kid.

I play Asphalt 7 and Riptide GP with no issues here. Re One V make sure you can live with 512MB or RAM if you go for that. It won't get an official JB update either (due to the RAM limitation).

If you check the forum, you'll find another post about this ...
To my experience, bottom line on the Desire X and video : the Desire X plays up to 1080p, both streaming and from storage, without problems. I tested different media players, best ones are MX Player and Vplayer and tested all resolutions. In mp4 format, playing from storage, most of the players have audio/video sync issues. Not in flv 1080p, so it's down to the software. Streaming, just using stock Youtube app, all of them work fine.
When specs say the Desire X supports only up to 480p, it just means that's it's native resolution (800x480), but it'll play higher resolutions without a problem, depending on the media player, the format and whether it's streaming or from storage.
That's from my experience. Hope that's on topic enough for ya.

I would seriously doubt it. And even if it could, would you really want to? On a 2.5", 157ppi screen?
I also wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't support multi-touch, and if it does, it's likely only 2 point.
Take the gift, put a microSD card in it, and use it as an mp3 player.
On a 600Mhz Snapdragon S1 Singlecore? With 256 MB RAM? Hell no.
Besides, it runs Android 2.1, and CoC requires 4.0.3 or higher. Subway Surfers asks at least Android 2.3.3. Since this is XDA that might be possible to circumvent (be it by a customROM or sideloading), but still, it has to be said.
