[Q]what is the best rom for our device? - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys before I start flashing each and every rom and see which one is the best I wanted to ask for your opinions about this issue..
I realized that CM13 based roms are either unstable or have many bugs so which one should I flash in case I want CM based rom
if I want Stock based rom which one is the best in terms of performance and cutomization?
why arent there CM12 roms or stable CM based roms?

I still use the stock rom, really slow on loading media files, buggy camera, and I don't even have that much apps. But I still love my Xperia Z5C. <3

Every stock based ROM. XPower is my favorite. ASOP based ROMs are not daily driver ready...

[Q] Best KitKat Rom for Xperia U

Ok hello everyone.
Firstly, If I have posted this in the wrong place, I apologise....I didn't come here to piss off anyone. There are so many posts I got confused.
So I've been using [SXU]Infinity Rom v3 by acervenky. Its the best ICS Rom in my personal opinion, the most stable I found so far (I use it with Greenify). Oh and I have unlocked bootloader.
Now I dont test roms or develop stuff and when it comes to tech stuff consider me a newbie....just regular guy wanting to use KitKat on his Xperia U for daily use, which eats less ram, is stable enough, and I really love themes and stuff but performance is priority.
So which of these would you guys recommend that I can flash for daily use:
1. XNovathor Project 4.4.2 V2 (because who doesn't like a lot of ram...)
2. CarbonRom KK RC1 [ARM-EABI] (because it looks supercool like batman)
3. Unofficial SlimKat (kumquat) [RC2] [BUILD 3 - 1MAR] (because as they say its really slim? and looks good too)
4. AOSB Project v1 (because it has tons of features)
As you can see I like all of these, but I'm not sure cause I don't really have that expertise to judge it well.
So what do you guys say?
Which one should I use?
I prefer cm 11
But according to Ur 4 roms i prefer carbon or slim ROM
Slim ROM for smoothness
And Carbon for performance and stuffs
U can use my Resurrection Rom too But wait for next update

Thanks a ton man, I think I'll try Carbon first....if I don't like it, I'll go for slim ROM. And yes, I'd definitely like to try your ROM too...:good:

Ques regarding SlimKat Rom
Has anyone here flashed slimkat rom.?? I am having some issue.
I have been use AOSB rom version 1
I think mild and tolerable with no lag. but I got a problem when trying to type. Virtual keyboard appears rather old.
I've used the CM11 for ~3 months now, and IMO it's the best one
Inviato dal mio Xperia U utilizzando Tapatalk
Of those I prefer Slim... but 4.2+ has Bluetooth audio problems so I avoid them (and no non-Sony ROM I've seen has a working half-press camera button...)

To the best of my knowledge there's no stable Lollipop ROM. All ROMs have their own bugs. Why not try the few Popular ROMs yourself?

Nah, in my device i tried multiple lollipops but they are were laggy. So i got back on the latest cm 11 and things are smooth as silk.
I'm staying off lollipop for now.
I don't care about the super latest features, I rather have a stable and secure system.

Both Temasek and ArchiDroid are very fast and stable. I haven't try out the new versions of RR and Blisspop yet
bhai archidroid karle latest wala set hai !
Hi,
Haxynox is actually pretty fast and thin. Discovered a bug, but cannot post it there. So i'm thinking of kinda spamming this place till i get my count up to 10
But in general, KitKat seems better choice for i9300 era systems. Would be nice, if someone compiled as close to aosp kitkat as possible. CM was close, but now really gets bloated with its additional software. It even has CM account system. Maybe i will test out Omni.
Omni is ok, but no theme support, same like slim kk

Resurrection Remix. It's a CM 13 based Rom, stable and nice. You have other customization options too.
From my personal experience, MM ROMs are a lot better, smooth and stable (so far) than any lollipop Rom I've flashed on this device

Yes..i tried to flash it before The ROM bit nothing... The recovery doesn't istall The ROM..remain on path system unconditionally..
I think cm 13 is best rom ever in custom roms
I suggest Temasek, AICP, or CyanPop for now. Since RR froze development for reasons I don't know, these ROMs should be a good substitute. But when RR comes back, its a recommend to go for it. RR topped the charts while the I9300 was in the world of lollipops

I had Blispop v4.x (LP 5.1) for a month. Twice a day I had to restart the phone because camera driver (or whatever) was crashing and apps could not connect to camera.
Is the camera driver stable on CM 13 or Resurrection Remix?
I was using A Better Camera and Camera MX.
I suggest to stay on lollipop, cause MM cm-13 still have a lot of bugs. If you use ur phone for daily usage just wait for stable release of MM.

not right.. for me marshmallow rom is better than lollipop ROM..try only to see the instructions and do a flash clean.
is 3 weeks thai i use Cyanogenmod13 and now i'm on latest build 17012016..and all works fine without problem.. for camera i don't have any issue.. i use snap camera but i think also stock camera isn't buggy
Lollipop is not ideal for exynos versions of S3. Thats why CM skipped it. Not to say you wont find other custom roms where L does fine as well as unofficial CM12 versions. With free time on the weekend, I decided to test latest CM 13 nightlies. This on the assumption its just to familiarize myself with it then flash back to my reference CM11 backup. Quite surprised how solid CM13 is. May hang on to it for a while as I've not yet seen any reason to flash back yet.
I recommend you resurrection remix rom.

Best Xperia Z2 Nougat ROM

What is the best nougat rom for z2? I want stability, performance and everything works. I saw Resurrection Remix, CarbonROM, CypherOS and Lineage OS. Which is the best? Now I have eXistenZ Marshmallow and performance is not perfect, but I like original Xperia look and I want something looking similar to this. What I should to install?

the only one nougat rom has Xperia Interface . here... but it outdated . but still okay ..
Once upon a time custom rom used to be better in stability and usability than stock rom.
But those days are long gone.
Now a days custom rom is just about upgrading and adding fancy stuff.
No single custom rom can beat stock rom in stabilty/performance/battery etc now.
I've tried them all. But now I'm back to stock with restored TA.
Don't plan to go on a custom rom again.
YMMV.

It's not true for EX performance of oreo roms is far better than stock roms
I can't say anything about battery life but i don't think that the deference will be so much

I meant to write stability/usability/battery.
It's true that performance is slightly better in nougat/oreo than stock MM.
But is the performance gain due to "tweaks" and "optimization" done by the cookers? No, it is because the improvements done by Google.
Nougat rom still has the mic issue.
Battery charging takes twice the time than stock.
Battery life is worse than stock.
And frankly, I really don't notice any performance difference in stock MM. it is noticeable only if I do bench.
Like I said, YMMV. So you should try out first before taking a decision.

What is the best one of custom roms for mi a3

Hello brothers,
Can you please give me an advise ???
My device is mi a3 , What is the best one of custom roms thats give me many features more that stock rom and others custom roms.
Havoc OS and Evolution X.
According to my knowledge the best roms that have many customisation features for mi A3 would be Evolution X and Havoc OS.
But the development of Evolution X for mi A3 has been stopped I think and I had some issues while installing Havoc OS on my device

Why not use the stock Android 10 ROM? It's way stable than any custom ROMs. I'm using Android 10 stock ROM April build, rooted with magisk. I also installed Pix3lify and I installed EdExposed to use GravityBox.

What features are you looking for? I'm pretty sure GravityBox has them.
Stock ROMS are obviously way stable than any custom ROMS, it's a known fact. Besides fingerprint doesn't work properly on any custom ROMS and with the new Android 10 April build, fingerprint works very well and also works when the screen is off.

Will you get security updates when you install these plugs?
I tried miui.eu bitnet 11.2 beta is very pretty than stock rom and everything works very well, fingerprint is very speed than stock rom and the camera else.
i tried syberia, EvoX, pixel experience, those three are faster, less battery consumption, and receives officially updated by developers.
