Hi there,
Was recently at a concert and all my videos had HORRIBLE audio quality. I used the stock camera app.
I have seen that on rooted devices it is possible to change some values in the system in order to decrease camcorder microphone gain.
Can anyone help me out with this as I cant seem to find it for this specific phone.
Rooted LG G5 H850
Thank you very much!

Hello,
is the any possibillity, how to reduce sensitivity of microphones for recording videos or any other way, how to improve the quality of sound in videos? When there is really massive soundsystem, the sound in videos is raucous and is not clear enough, example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxRQ9O6qypI
my friend bought iPhone few weeks ago and found this handy tool for it ... http://tascam.com/product/im2/. Does anyone know about any similar tool for Android devices?
thx
Hey, I use an LG F60 wich runs 5.0.1 and since i upgraded ( March 10th) the stereo of the microphone disappeared on most of the apps , and i ran a CPU test and said that rear microphone didnt existed when in this app running kk said i had rear mic, i waant someone to help me to change the microphone settings to disable Automatic gain control, bc the mono sound of my micro sounds muffled and dirty, i disabled AGC in one 3rd app recorder, but i cant find a setting to disable it of system, i tried ALSA and Viper4Android, and didn't find nothing related to mic, also in enginer mode Audio settings are not implemented yet. I also tried changing mixer_paths and those files, but i really don't know wich text i have to replace, and i can upload the files here, if someone wants to help me changing it..
Does someone know is there is one specific app or module, (without recovery) that disables AGC? my microphone without AGC in mono sound, sounds very HQ but with it sounds pretty muffled, and in whatsapp recordings is terrible.
Hello.
I am running CM14 (almost stable and VERY fast!) on my SE Ray.
Using Adrian's fantastic ROM 'lineage-14.1-20170514-UNOFFICIAL-LegacyXperia-urushi'.
VERY GOOD work, really !!!
JUST the following 2 problems I noticed (point 1 also at cm13):
1.) The microphone sensitivity for audio and video recordings is generally much too low. (not for calls!)
Which Android system file sets the mic gain? I would like to modify this setting. (or does this adaption work in another way?)
2.) Always after about 30...40 seconds of video recording the sound signal is not been recorded anymore. Just silence then. Really strange. There is no error message.
Does anybody of you know about this phenomena as well? Who could help to fix this bug?
Does anybody know about AdrianDC? He doesn't respond.
Is there still any developer supporting SEMC 2011 devices?
Thank you very much for any help!!
I have a problem that when I'm recording movies, the audio quality is very bad. This mainly applies to recording movies in noisy places, for example in clubs. Instead of music, you can hear only buzzing, clattering and cracking. I think that reducing the sensitivity of the microphone during recording would solve this problem. Unfortunately, I could not find the right guide on how to do it on the internet. Literally all tutorials either do not work or show how to change the microphone's sensitivity only when calling. I tried to modify DEC1 and DEC2 values in literally all files whose name starts with "mixer_paths ...". It also did not help. I would like to add that the quality of sound on movies recorded with other phones in the same places is as it should be, the music is clearly heard without any disturbance.
Phone - Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon)
ROM - Android 6.0.1 MIUI 10.2 (Dev 8.11.22)
Thanks in advance for replies.
guys as you may know mic quality is terrible both in camera and also in calls or voice notes, it´s not a hardware issue rather a software one that can be fixed is you do this:
create a correct profile for the camcorder audio source in mixer_paths.xml or
change the audio source in the camera app from camcorder to any other available on Android just by changing one value from mr.audiosource=0 to audiosource=6, see (https://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/MediaRecorder.AudioSource)
but for that you need root and also unlocked bootloader someone tried? how can unlock the bootloader + rot the phone ty
