Xposed causing Bootloop - LG G5 Questions & Answers

On H830 version with stock rooted. I know its none of the apps causing this. Every time I update a xposed app, get bootloop. Pulling out battery and power back on boots up normal. Issues gone when xposed unstalled. I have correct version sdk23-arm64. Waiting for stable rom, so xposed a must! Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions?
Tried factory reset no go. Kdz and re-root still no go. Please help! Google solutions have tried most and no success

Check the log of xposed if any of the modules give errors. I had the same with a G4, one of the modules was the culprit. Uninstall it and life was good.

[Q] TWRP not installing.

I have tried installing TWRP 2.8.7.0 twice now through ODIN and it shows PASS, but when I try booting into recovery it always says something about installing update and I end up in stock recovery. It's my understanding you didn't need root to install custom recovery... am I mistaken?
Anyone? Really need help with this to use Debloater.

I don't have my pc set up right now so can't do anything atm. Tried downloading the source on my phone but the download keeps dying. But can guarantee there's a bunch of changes.
Hopefully it's not as fck'd up as 5.0 tho. 5.0 wasn't even buildable with out fixing crap first

Man I would hate to get rid of my S5, it don't look good though. All these changes and @Chainfire not having a root method yet they must've really screwed things up.

Snapchat stopped working cause of Root....

So guides online for other phones say that you have to uninstall xposed and reinstall it. The problem is I didn't install xposed. It came with the Jasmine 6.1 from the droidyemen team. How do I install it?
Lollipop 5.0 OF1
1 Click Super SU root from androidyemen
Jasmine 6.1 rom
Verizon Note 3
I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Question: How do I make backup if I don't have any TWRP or Cynogen Mod? Bootloaders are locked on Verizon Note 3. Also there are no instructions... very confusing for new rooter.
Flashfire app but still if you get in trouble it wouldn't be available to restore the backup..there might be more to it but I'm not sure..now that there is root you could just go back to stock with odin

I don't know how to use flashfire... Everything I've done how to do was by watching Youtube videos...
If you use titanium back up on the stock rooted firmware and back up data then when you flash jasmine and just restore the data it will work again. That's what I did and works perfectly

Could you give me a step by step? I boot looped my phone last week by trying to download TWRP because none of the guides told me that. I'm also very new to rooting. All I do is follow YouTube videos on how to do things.

If you were on stock rom or jasmine. On jasmine you need to get the xposed Uninstaller flash it in flashfire, run snapchat cause it will work after xposed is not shown in the "framework" then use titanium backup to back up the app and data, flash the xposed installer then it should stay logged in, if not you got titanium backup again and just restore "data" of the snapchat and it will be logged in. I backed mine up from the stock rooted firmware/ROM.

That's what I've been told. That's not what I did myself, I was on the stock rom before I flashed jasmine when I did the back up. Yes, titanium backup. Install app then restore "data" and good to go

Lg Incallui Problem

Hello all. I recently rooted and installed xposed, but did not notice that there was no need for the second screen fix zip. I flashed it, and it replaced my lgcontact and Lg Incallui apks with deoxed ones. My contacts forced closed, understandably. I managed to find the apk of contacts and set permissions. I got it working. However, the Lg Incallui not so much. I've tried a few different versions unsuccessfully. If someone is able to pull it directly from their system I'd greatly appreciate the help. Even if they happens, will it fix the problem, or am I stuck with this until I reflash the .tot? Thank you in advance for any help and input you have.

No one has a LgInCallUi.apk they can take out and copy from their system? The one without the second screen fix mod?
Sent from my LG-H901 using XDA-Developers mobile app
you didnt mention the rom you're using. reflash the rom. use the latest xposed. there's no need for the 2nd screen fix with the latest version of xposed.
I'm just on stock rooted. I flashed no Rom. I used LG UP to root. I unlocked my bootloader a while ago, so I just the .tot and flashed SuperSU and I had root. Unfortunately I was not aware of not needing the flash for the second screen at the time. I just need that one file. I've scoured the net, but can't find that original apk.

Dirty flashed a stock Rom.
"Unfortunately, Call has stopped"
Any ideas? All necessary files are present and accounted for, and that was even without xposed.

Start from scratch...
Use this to root again. ( I'm sure you're familiar with it).
I flashed this SuperSU (you can use whatever version you would like)
Flash this version of xposed.
You shouldnt have any issues. And theres no need for a 2nd screen fix with the latest xposed.

Yup, ended up starting from scratch. Fixed everything. Then I used Amplify to kill some wakelocks and it ended up crashing Google Play Services. What luck. I just took off that module and this thing is running like a champ. Thanks for the help.

You could try using Magisk hide, If the app is failing to run because of root there's a chance that it's also checking for "SafetyNet" and if it is, Magisk hide is the only solution available. Of course you can also try using the other various methods of hiding root from the app too. I cannot guarantee this'll work but this is your best chance.

The use of Magisk Hide requires that you switch over to MagiskSU, Which means you'll have to uninstall SuperSU.
From my standpoint if you're going to attempt switching them, Make sure you're ready for anything. Backups, Stock ROM available and on hand just in case, You understand how ODIN works, In other words.....You know what to do to fix it if it doesn't end up working or you end up in a bootloop.
It should be safe but at the same time you be safe too, Just in case.
Last but not least, Read Read read, Make sure you understand what you're doing, Even ask within the Note 4 forum if they've successfully installed MagiskSU.
