How to turn my microSD external storage into adaptable storage?

Official firmware for LG G5 don't support that feature of marshmallow.

If memory serves, I used this method...
http://www.modaco.com/news/android/...e-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632/
Yes, the article specifically states for the S7, but it worked (eventually) on my G5. I had to run through the process a few times, but eventually it stuck.
This was some time ago, so there may be an easier/better/more reliable way by now, but this should get you going if nothing else has been discovered.
Just remember, you may need to go through the process multiple times before it is successful (I have zero idea why), so don't give up hope if it doesn't work the first time. Good luck.

Incase that method doesn't work^ Download systeam tweaker on play store. Works on my end, its pay app tho.

Try the app Directory Bind. You'll find it on the forums.
I believe the latest Rom toolbox can do it. Apps2sd can't do it right now

what's the point of putting apps to sd card nowadays? this was only relevant during the G1 days.
i play a lot of games on my phone. gameloft especially have them big files that is needed to play.
And 16GB is not enough?

Not if you have a bunch if games.
There's only 12GB usable and that's like 9 big games plus abit so you can run out if your a heavy gamer

Yep. Really don't know why Samsung has done this. Directory Bind is a good workaround, though.
lol, i thought it would be too!
turns out its this lucky patcher i am using that is telling lies that i ran out of space.
Lucky patcher = always bad news
so don't ever use it anymore?
i noticed my phone is running on edge instead of a 3/4g data network. the only thing i ever did to my phone was root it, i didn't use any roms from here. i was able to put the original back thru odin, and my phone no longer says modified. but my data is still the same and my imei info is still gone.
anybody else experience this? oh and i did do a nandroid backup after i had rooted it. i restored it but it still wouldn't change my data or imei issue. i also checked my counter and it says custom binary (1 counts)...does that mean i am screwed? everything else in that line reads samsung or official tho. and at the very top is odin in red.

Look for "GL to SD" on the play store. It moves most of the content of gameloft games to SD.

Have you tried searching the forums? There are a couple different topic on this exact issue... like this one (which was about four posts below yours).

It's because you did the conversion and didn't do the camera fix after coining back, is an easy fix but you have to have root to do it.

SD card not detected?

I have a PNY 32gb sdcard that's been working perfectly since I picked up the S4 in May. This morning there was a message on my phone saying there isn't an sdcard detected. I've tried popping it in and out several times, rebooting, etc. None of that helped. It's not even visible in recovery. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm stumped.
Sometimes sd cards go bad without warning. It's best to keep your important things backed up on your computer. Sounds to me like you need a new card.

Yeah, I guess the obvious next troubleshooting step here is trying a different sdcard (which I don't have now). Just wanted to see if there was a known issue slash easy solution that was out there already.
You can try your sd card in your computer before trashing it. You might be able to get it to work long enough to retrieve your saved files.

Chances adoptable storage will be enabled somehow?

Just wondering. Would love to have this enabled.

Check out modaco for gs7 instructions
It apparently works for the g5
Why? Do you plan on never removing your sd card??

Jesus X.. Why do people even buy this crap? No offense..
Everything is so **** complicated with Apple.
It's so simple that it becomes extremely complicated whenever you divert from the paved road.
