Are there differences between say Chainfires rootong or one-click for rooting methods for a Verizon Samsung S III. I would assume ther is because of the Qualcomm vs Exynos processors. Are there any accepted methods now for the Verizon models. thanks...
from what I read this morning because I rooted my phone this morning, the root for the verizon model isnt known yet but if the current root out now dosnt work it will be made compatible.
I used mskip toolbox....follow it here:

Hey guys,
I've been trying to unlock my phone for a few days now. Long story short, I moved from Canada to Japan and now I want to unlock my S3 to use a Japanese SIM.
I bought an unlock code from eBay. I was previous running cyanogenmod but then I was told that rooting will cause issues, so I unrooted my phone after an unsuccessful SIM unlock attempt. (wiped the phone, installed stock TW)
Even after unrooting I still had issues, and was given directions for the Service mode. That did not work either. I have tried many different methods and troubleshooting tips and nothing seems to have worked.
Here are some screenshots of the debug mode, my phone details, and a simple root checker app I installed.

Here are some specs: SGH-i747m Samsung Galaxy S3 on Bell running official firmware 4.4.2
Thanks for reading, and I really hope someone can help ;_;

My first thoughts are that since its from ebay it might not be a real unlock code.
I have had a lot of difficulty unlocking my GS3, as well. I actually got the codes from ATT, my carrier. I've tried 4 times, each unsuccessful. It says that after 5 failed attempts, the phone is forever locked to ATT, so I'm afraid to try that last 5th time. I was wondering if you could root, and then unlock more reliably. Is that possible?
Root makes no difference, you probably don't have an i9300 if you are on ATT.
How to unlock samsung j3 to work on any carrier?
Anyone know how to unlock the Samsung Galaxy J3 (6) SM-J320P to be used on another carrier from another country? I bought one in the United States however it does not recognize the chip of my country.

Regarding Root
You can easily root your device via kingroot apk or pc version.. i got my device rooted, give it a try
I have searched everywhere and cannot find an answer or anyway to make it work. Is there anyway to root a note 5 n920a 7.0? What if I go back to older version? And how can I either root 7.0 or return to older version and Root? Please help! Thanks
Not possible to root the Note 5 from AT&T or Verizon due to the locked bootloader.. Better to switch to the S7/S7 Edge, as those can be rooted.
HI, I switched carriers yesterday and my S9+ still appears to be on AT&T software. Is there a guide somewhere that shows you in detail how to get the T-Mobile software on it? I'm not very knowledgeable in flashing, but have seen around the site that ODIN is a solution? Thanks
edit: I know i need to get from U to U1 back to U i'm just not sure how
