Hi, I have a Redmi Note 3go mediatek and my battery drain is really horrible. I think the battery is dead because i have seen my battery losing endurance over time and I have tried flashing a custom ROM and still have poor battery life. I don't see any application draining my battery so much. However the battery health in Android information is "good" so I don't know, is this accurate ? Also, my screen is broken, could it drain battery ? Is my screen battery usage normal ? I want to know if the battery is really dead because if it is i'll buy a new one and try replacing it. Hère are some screens of my battery usage on normal use of the phone :

I have been having this problem with multiple roms. When my phone crashes and boots sometimes it comes up and tells me to connect to my charger and the battery is at less than 5%. If I reboot it, it comes back up normal. sometimes I have to reseat the battery.
I cleaned the battery connection and I haven't had any trouble yet.. but I haven't had any crashes since then either. I bought my phone on day one so I guess it could just be a bad battery? Anyone else seen this? In the pic you can see it happened twice.

Bro, there are a lot of better ways to rack up your post count then spamming multiple threads with "Thanks you!"...
Anyways Dr.Stainedglove, I remember someone with a similar issue a while back. Turned out to be a battery issue. Not sure if that's what caused your issue but if the phone starts acting up again I would suggest you look into a new battery. You can get a 1800mAh batteries (400mAh bigger then our stock batteries) for pretty cheap. See here.
Sure looks like it

I believe this is quite normal on this phone. The phone wakes up to do tasks all under the name of Android System, so it does multiple task at the same time for a short period of time. However since the battery app only takes into account individual processes, it adds up to something its not.
I would be more worried about the others and just ignore it or group with Android OS in your mind. Your battery stats seem to be perfectly normal with no unexpected drains.

Nothing.
Your drain doesn't seem too bad but you can minimize the wakes by keeping wifi active.
If i switch wifi off the phone can drain upto 5% in 1 hour on standby, sometimes not so bad, othertimes worse.
Looking at BetterBattery stats TIME_TICK seems to cause the highest amounts of wakes. No idea what that is or what appliaction or service is activating it.
Thanks my friends

I also experience high load of the "Android System" with firmware 6.1.A.2.50.
With 6.1.A.2.45 the highest load was always caused by the display (as it should be).

Hello, 3 days ago I've installed CM10.1 nightly build from 2013-07-25 on my friend's Galaxy S III (international), now his battery life is really bad and he's complaining on me, any way I can improve the battery life?
Here goes a screenshot (as you can see, he wasn't even using the phone when the battery just dropped 50%):

Cyanogen mod roms are known to drain battery much faster than touchwiz.so you cant really expect the battery life to be the same as on stock or stock based roms. you may improve the battery life by using an app called Greenify. it hibernates apps so that they will not run in the backround. this can help considerably. also make sure to turn off gps , bluetooth, wifi. and mobile data when not in use.
well first tell your "friend" that thats how things are in AOSPs. Secondly use differrent kernels and proper setting to get max battery (tutorials are available) plus greenify apps you do not use. And the usual killers as GPS/WiFi/NFC/3G use only when needed or turn them off..
Something is extremely wrong there. Get a normal usage BBS dump and post it here. Also take screenshots of the BBS pages.
Also post a screenshot of your battery stats page (one that shows which apps drain battery).
(First of all, apologies if this has already been asked and answered. If that is the case could you please forward me to the relevant thread)
I have been getting sudden drops in my battery as shown in the pictures below. Prior to this, my phone seems to have froze/become unresponsive. On forced reboot, I have found these results on the battery monitor.
What is causing the above?
(and) How do I fix this?

maybe a dodgy app - did you download something recently. I would suggest you use better battery stats http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and read all of @chamonix work to understand what is going on.
Other than that, you could try a full rom wipe, are you rooted? You can do factory reset through settings, a bit drastic but better than trounced battery!!
REMEMBER: If someone helps you hits the thanks button most people like watching their thanks meter rise :good::good:
I woke up this morning sat up and grabbed my phone off my nightstand like I do every morning and dropped it instantly, it was extremely hot. I turned on the screen and saw that my batter was scolding 55c it's normally 27 - 29c when I check it throughout the day. I am really concerned about the longevity of my battery and phone. Was the battery hot enough to permanently damage any of the components? Is the battery safe to use or is it ruined? There doesn't appear to be any swelling.
This is the battery I have and the case I am using. http://www.ianker.com/product/70SMI9300-B1B72A/859

Wrong forum, check the very first thread.
Sounds like your battery is going to rupture, throw it away now.

Right, like i'm going to throw away a brand new $40 battery. Where else would I post this? It's a Q and fits under Help. I also searched Google for at least an hour and couldn't find any good information pertaining to the safe temp range.
Like the man said you are in the wrong forum .
You have I9300 or not see sticky top of the page .
Test battery if it swells then do not use it .
