hello friends i am using malaysk rom my device is rk3066 800*480
i have an issue with my gps speed for example my car speed is 60 kmh and mtcscreenclock gps speed shows 55 kmh .
is there any chance to calibrate gps speed ?
Thank you

GPS is correct, your vehicle speed has a manufacturer built in margin to display lower than actual.

You're welcome.
Your GPS is accurate - the vehicle is inaccurate. That is correct, manufacturer builds in error so that vehicle speed displays a higher than actual vehicle speed, my understanding is this is standard practice
Think about why that might be. Also, have you thought about validating GPS/speed with your smart phone? Also note that vehicle modifications such as diff, gearbox, rim and wheel size can impact final drive thus speedo.

Overclocking?

Is there a thread on over clocking the prophet ? tools? safely?
Battery Status! Nice tool and very stable!

BS rulez
I've set the CPU up to 273 mhz with BatteryStatus.
Absolutely stable.
Also the integrated tools in BS are verry comfortable.
Give it a try.
Greetings from Germany,

Sweet
Thanks Skylow
Ive over clocked it to 273mhz and wow is it fast& stable like you said ....thanks for the tip and greetz from Sweden
Hi !
I have also this speed for my S200, stable fast etc. no crash + I have dynamic overclocking "cpuscaler" settings.
min.:134 org.:195 max.:273
What do you think ? The oc is negative for battery uptime ?
Greatings from Hungary !
about 2 months ago, someone (I think it was Gullum) has noted that using cpuscaler has a negative effect on battery life as it prevents the device from going to sleep. I haven't used it ever since but also I haven't verified the effect. I always overclock my device to 273 and tap on the battery status today plug-in to set the speed back to 195 when oc is not needed (again, just as gullum suggested)
I have dynamic 123-175-208. Great for battery life for me.
amazing, after i overclock it to 273mhz im able to see the streaming video with no lags (live tv channels over wifi) !!!
im verry happy, watchin tvchannels on my prophet =)
I've heard that it has a bad effect on CPU and may cause CPU breakdown.
Is there anyone to verify that?
Bluetooth and overclocking
Hi!
Recently I discovered that if I overclock my devices (Prophet and Touch) I have a strange behavior using the bluetooth freehand environment integrated in my car. The WM Device connects and after a short time it disconnects suddenly. If I receive a call it takes a few seconds and it reconnects again - but you miss a few seconds of the phonecall!
With no overclocking everything works normal - bluetooth connect and disconnect if you leave the car.
(Btw my car is an Audi.)
Maybe somebody has the same problem.
Regards!

i know,i use it too but do you use the application based overclocking feature for phone&camera?? today i noticed some missed calls that showed up 3hrs later... I was using 2.20.21 Radio rom and CPU at 260MHz.Now i flashed 2.19.21 and CPU at 273MHz...and no problems so far..
Is that safe push it that way??
270 is not too much???
how about temps??

CPU clock
I have a Jamin G4 and here is the overclocks that I tested:
I use Batt Status and Set CPUscaler.
Range from 99 to 286MHz is stable for Prophet (in my case)
- more than 286MHz which is 299 or higher PDA freezes.
- under 100MHz, 99MHz the screen has a light flick.
- I believe lower clock will save battery and higher clock may shorten CPU life.
- use Cpuscale to vary the cpu clock, especially when idle, it drops to lowest, hence save more battery and as active the cpu will step up to the max limit where you set your max
- Don't overclock unless you have to.
- My reference: CPUScaler from 99 to 260Mhz for normal use. And set to 286MHz unless you need to like games.
Eg: I have tested 286MHz and played Skyforce Reload for a few hours... beautifully... no problem

Don't you have any problems with camera at this speed? Mine already at 221-247MHz has pure picture quality at highest resolution - some colors disapearing...

The same happens on my NEO when I go beyond 221 MHz. My camera shows weired colors.
had a strange issue with batterystatus today... i tapped on 'minimize' and it appeared to minimize to the system tray... but i cannot get it to come back. tapping on the phone icon in the system tray shows a maximize option,,... but it does not bring the today screen plugin back... :/
anybody see this issue?

GPS Altitude

Did anybody of you recognized a problem with the altitude computation. My raphael discloses me 40-60 meters to high.
I tried different Radio Roms and GPS soft´s.
Well is just can assume it, because my alternative GPS-receiver discloses me much lower and of course, this can also be wrong.

AFAIK height measurements with GPS are highly inaccurate. This due to most applications focussing on the 2d grid, and the fact that height would probably need more satellites as a 3th dimension would needed to be calculated.

Thats right and indeed it depends on at least 4 sats. The better the chipset, the better the accuracy is.
So on your side the altitude is okay?
all chipsets besides the sirf III has about that error but garmin mobile xt corrects that issue and gives the correct value.

[Q] Max Temperature for CPU

I was curious about the max temperature for the CPU as I see many of these profiles setting up a reduction in OC if > 40. My problem is that I cannot maintain a temp below 40 with anything higher than 480 yet I see many people running 600-729. Could anyone shed some light on this for me.

The sustained max temperature you will see depends on what you are doing. Particularly if you have one or more radios going, you will experience high temperatures. For instance, streaming audio over the Mobile network or using tethering (WiFi tethering is the worst), it is trivial for the battery temperature to go above 50 C.
I saw 55 C once on my phone with a stock HTC 2.1 ROM (528 Mhz max) - I was streaming music, running a WiFi wardriving app, and also running the Nav app simultaneously on a 3 hr drive - in warm weather.
Unless someone on this board works as a thermal design engineer for HTC, it will be impossible for them to tell you what is too much - they would have to know what the thermal path from the processor to the battery is, and that's pretty much an impossible thing to guess at without pretty detailed calculations.
I set my temperature clamp profile to kick in at T > 50C; below that temperature, my phone runs at 768Mhz when it is fully charged. I would say that using the phone "normally" (as in extended internet browsing (reading, not video), texting, short phone calls), I rarely see my battery temperature above 40C.

Evo 3d wifi question

I am curious to know what the maximum mbps this phone can handle. I am getting fiber optics in about a week 20mbps and am curious if I will be able to take full advantage of that with this phone and if so how much further speed wise can this phone go.

It is compatible with 802.11n networks if thats what your router is putting out

So that would be about 65 MBps

Actually, the theoretical maximum should be 75 MB/s, as the maximum data rate of the 802.11n spec is 600 Mbit/s (divide by 8 for MB).
Of course, you'll never get sustained rates at the theoretical maximum of any data connection really, especially not a wireless type.
btw dont put your hand on the top, that's where the wifi antenna is and mine sufferes a great signal decrease if i do that.

How to check PVS bin of your Z2!!

So after screwing around for about an hour trying to find the PVS bin of my Z2, I finally found out how
1. You need root
2. Go to sys/module/clock_krait_8974/parameters
3. Open table_name and your PVS is shown right there!!
Well I think I got really lucky as I have the highest binned CPU, PVS 15!
What bin do you guys have?
edit: Also can you guys tell us if your phone overheats when recording 4k video? I still get the overheating after like 4 minutes despite having a high PVS
Got PVS 12 here

PVS 13. Why is this important?
Not important. The process vary among different wafer lot. The process variations are identified during production test, supply voltage will be set according to different process.

Vietnam unbranded, 19W19.
What is the point of this? Can someone give us a clear answer? Does this help to reduce phone overheating.
Chips are not all equal for most all devices. Some are better than others. Typically the chips that are not as good require more voltage to keep them stable especially at their low frequencies.
When the phone starts it will read the setting set by the chipmaker, the setting determines what voltage table to use.
The phones that can run on lower voltages will have slightly better battery life and run slightly cooler.

Higher is better, also with a higher bin, you can also overlook much more
In fact, this explains everything and helps you with voltages needed to overclock. http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-guide-helps-you-make-the-most-from-your-soc/
Normally once the CPU is getting towards the top of its performance all chips will be set to "max voltage". Eg I doubt any of the z2's are any different with voltages from about 1.5ghz upwards.
So when the CPU is draining the most power and generating the most heat the devices will all start performing closer and closer. The biggest differences between the CPU's is at low frequencies and how far you can overclock. Also users might start under or over voltage, and the stability while doing that will vary.
So high performance things like 4k video are unlikely to be all that different, all CPUs all be at high CPU freqs so will all be at max voltage.
Does anyone actually have the voltage tables for the z2's?
