Not all devices you can add languages by this way.
Some of them you have to decompile system apps and add languages.

Hi all, please anyone help me with that issue ..
Firstly I'm sorry if it's not the right place for this thread
I have a Samsung i5510 ( Galaxy 551), Rooted, with a stock Arabic 2.2 firmware ..
After I've downloaded an alternative virtual keyboard from the play store, it seems a good choise .. so I went ahead to Root explorer to delete the stock virtual keyboard, I deleted the two files " AxT9IME.apk " and " AxT9IME.odex " ( after reading it's ok to delete it if I have an alternative )
Now I don't have the stock one and that's fine .. the problem is with the physical keyboard, I can't switch the language to Arabic, it's now in english only, Arabic ( the secondary language ) hade gone .. the swiching button on the keyboard just does nothing now
I'm not talking about forcing a rom to type in Arabic, because it does indeed ( before this problem ofcourse )
I'm talking about what these two files have done to the physical keyboard, I can't use it for arabic now ( but I can use the virtual alternative for that )
I've tried downloading the two " AxT9IME " and forcing them to system/app, but it doesn't help
Please help, I'm tired searching, thank you.
Any one ???

In order to add some languages i think u have to decompile both your framework-res and the one with the languages u want with apktool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251719 and past the values-xx (with the abbreviation of your country e.g. it) directory to your framework. U have to repeat the whole operation for each system app without multilang support and for the others it'll be enough to use MoreLocale2. I advise u to use a mtk6589 (if it's your SoC) firmware to take the apps
roms for n9006

It may be: generally the English language is always present. With the method I posted I don't know if the language will appear in settings but u can try. To switch to another language u have to go to settins, go down until u see an option with a key with an A or something similar. Instead change in the build.prop the string ro.product.locale.language=cn to =en (the languages may change)

You will need something like ES File Explorer and the apk>Open ES File Explorer>Drill down to /system/app and paste the apk>Change permission rw-r-r>Reboot>Select language
My phone : Alcatel One Touch Pop C5
System version was 4.2.2 and now it's 5.0.2 (custom rom of course)
So my phone sucks .. Can't run lots of games .. Can't open messenger and whatsapp/Facebook lite at the same time ... Till i found a rom .. An awesome rom which can run lots of games without closing ...
The rom is perfect but it only has 1 problem .. It doesn't have support the Arabic language and i'm an Arabian!
Is there a way to add the Arabic Language (or font) to the system/rom ?
2 screenshots are attached : the first one is from 'About Device'
link : http://imgur.com/Um9p1Lm
the second one to show how Arabic appears .. its like this in every thing (messenger/Keyboard/...)

possible ... ?
Any one ?
I need it please
Guys ??
Any expert?
You can use morelocale app to use arabic which apps have arabic language
Also you can decompile all apks of your rom and translate manually.

That didn't help because the rom doesn't support Arabic itself .. I wanna somehow add the Arabic font to the rom .. I think it only can be done by adding/replacing files in the system ...
My phone is rooted..
And by the way, it's not only in the keyboard .. It's in all of the phone.
I have the same issue :/ did u find a solution ?

I found another good ROM with the language I wanted (Arabic) supported.
I got the phone , but I need a language that is not in the list.
Install Morelocale2 and go through the procedure
