bricked phone that won't boot and has locked bootloader - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all I'm having issues with a device that recieved an OTA update and is now bricked.
My device is a 2015 moto e surnia xt1526
I have tried applying factory firmware with mfastboot, but it is failing because the device the "enable OEM unlock" box is not checked. I can't boot the phone so I can't change this. I've been trying to sideload the firmware from the recovery, but that is failing as well. Does anyone know where I can get a sideload able firmware or how to get that oem unlock box checked from either the locked bootloader or recovery?

Moto E 2nd Gen Bricked After Update

I restored a Moto E LTE to stock 5.02 that had a unlocked bootloader with twrp custom recovery. Flashed it with mfastboot. Then I did a OTA system update. It rebooted to install and after that black screen. Is there any hope to unbrick with blankflash?
You didn't mention... Can't you boot into the fastboot screen? If so, I see no reason you cannot flash the factory image again. OTAs always scare me after a phone has been modified -- I've always avoided them at that point.
ya OP can you load recovery or the bootloader itself ?

Try hard resetting the phone by pressing the power button for aeound 10 secs and if that doesn't help then ,if u have enabled Android debugging in the developer options then using fastboot type 'adb reboot bootloader'. And see if u can open the bootloader!

Unlocking bootloader doesn't affect on OTA update. You get OTA updates and also flash on unlocked bootloader.
You are not rooted. Is your android have custom recovery or kernel. If yes then you get OTA update but can't flash in recovery. You get error because update checks your system and found that system is modified.
I don't have any custom recovery. It's a stock android but bootloader has been unlocked.

Go to fastboot mode and type
"fastboot devices" then enter and type
"fastboot oem device-info" enter and see device tampered option is true or false.
If it true it means your device is modified.

[SOLVED] Moto E 1st Gen stuck on boot screen (locked bootloader)

I was trying to update the Moto E 1st Gen with whatever official update was pending, and then I did a factory reset. Now my phone is stuck on the big M logo.
The bootloader is locked.
adb devices says 'unauthorized'. fastboot devices doesn't list anything. RSDLite doesn't detect it. What to do?

Flash stock lollipop in fastboot
Usually first boot will take 10 - 15 mins
How to I flash stock? Does it work on locked bootloader? 'Enable USB Debugging' was never enabled either.

unauthorised means you need to give confirmation from your device to use ADB on PC
and you don't need to use ADB to unlock bootloader use fastboot, fastboot devices only list out when you are on fastboot mode

Thanks. Yes, fastboot was working. I ended up flashing without unlocking bootloader.
First I used this command
mfastboot.exe getvar all

to get the exact model and current (broken) rom version of the device.
Then I downloaded corresponding stock rom (RETAILDSDSALL_XT1022_4.4.4_KXC21.5-40_cid7_CFC.xml.zip) and followed the "[GUIDE] Restore Moto E Stock Firmware [UPDATED#2]" guide as provided by Mr. Rajendra Rasa above to flash the stock rom.
Thanks to both you. I also got the unlock code for future reference.

Moto e7 bootloader & rooting difficulties

Hey everybody I recently bought a Moto e7. Went onto the official Motorola website and apparently you can't get the unlock code for the bootloader
On Google it says I can unlock the bootloader simply by doing "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" but it says
FAILED (remote : unknown command)
Other people are saying you don't need to unlock the bootloader to root using magisk. Tried and it says I need to unlock the bootloader.
So I tried doing "fastboot oem unlock" and several others. It just doesn't work.
Yes OEM unlocking is turned on and usb debugging is on. So can anyone help me?
I dont have experience with this phone or issue, but are other commands working? does ADB recognise the phone and can restart it into the bootloader? I know with my G8 power lite, ADB recognises it but once I go into fastboot it doesn't recognise it. Does fastboot recognise your device?
Please someone help to unlock bootloader Moto E7.
all commands are working except "fastboot oem get_unlock_data"
Did you make sure all the drivers are installed and updated?
Do not forget to have the programs and files necessary for the execution of commands.
try unlocking the bootloader with https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient

Do not try everything. I was an idiot and completely formatted my Moto E7 Power XT2097-6 device. That means I lost my certificate and IMEI number. I have my phone hard brick but I was able to fix it. Now I have a new stock firmware with Lenovo's "Rescue and Smart Assistant" tool and I can't make phone calls or connect to the internet because my certificate and IMEI are deleted! Everyone says that if you root you will lose your guarantee, but no one says that you will not be able to make phone calls or use the internet because the Imei number will be deleted. The exaggerated security of the new hardware in Smartphones was completely new to me because my last smartphone was a Samsung GT-S5360, which could be rooted without any problems. Pls accept the official factory moto stock rom and wait. Do not flash with the smartphone if no solution are available. Now i have a useless phone with a permanetly text print "carrier invalid" as GUI on the left corner.

ok, ok, I'll try to detail how I got it:
I flashed the device stock ROM (using SP Flash Tool)
After flashing the stock ROM successfully, I used mtkclient to unlock the bootloader.
For some strange reason, I couldn't unlock it without rewriting the stock ROM first.

Question Pixel 6 - Downgrade 13-12 - bootloader

Afternoon folks.
I had upgraded to the 13 Beta, and was going to downgrade back to 12, the device rebooted and was left at the bootloader.
I had NOT OEM unlocked the device, so is there anyway I can unlock it from recovery, or rescue mode, just so I can flash the factory 12 image again.
or is there a way to install a factory image without the Unlock
Pixel 6
Regards
Never mind. got it sorted
Boot into recovery, sideload via adb, use the ota image
