I am using Note 4 (SM-910F) with Dr. Ketan M6 for 910f. Since last few days I am having an issue with USB copy from PC to phone.
What works:
Fast Charging
USB PC detection
Copy from Phone to PC
Copy within phone storage from PC
What fails:
Copy from PC to phone.
Whenever I try to copy something from PC to phone, the device stops responding and I have to reinsert again to PC. Apart from this issue everything is working fine. Any help is appreciated.
Note:
I tried using the same usb cable using another phone and the another phone works just fine.
I also tried connecting my phone to a different computer and no luck.

Hello everyone. Forgive me if I missed a thread about this. I checked all of them but they were dead ends. Anyways about a week ago i can put music on HTC aria(mine is the liberty version), now I can't. I run both windows and Linux on one laptop and I tried to see if it would be detected on Linux still didn't work... then i tried on windows still didn't work, no usb sound nothing... The only thing it does is connect to charge. When I plugged my sisters phone it worked and a USB thing popped up. My laptop also has a micro sd slot and on windows sp2 it doesn't detect the micro sd but it detects it on Linux. So confusing.

Did you mount the SD card when you connected it?
Try turning off usb debugging before connecting it. Worked for me.
Connect your device to the laptop then remove all device drivers that related to your phone from your windows system after finish unplug ur phone reboot it ,reboot ur system then try to replug an install the device drivers again.
There is a strange problem since I bought my gs3.. It never recognized MTP. whenever i connect phone to pc via the usb provided with the box, it only displays charging but not any usb detection, even my pc won't connect any device, as if nothing is connected. My pc recognize it in download mode. But as soon as the rom boots up the usb connection no longer exist and hence no selection menu in notification bar comes. Currently running paranoid android 3.10
I want to transfer big files to my sd card but can't and every time i have to eject sd card connect to another phone and then transfer files.
Please help.
Use airdroid, No need for a usb connection

airdroid works well, but i prefer using FTP using es file manager app and filezilla on the pc.

Sounds like flakey or non installed USB Drivers .

Hi guys,
i have a little problem here. suddenly my USB port wasnt charging and not recognized in computer also.
i have replaced the USB flex cable and can charge again.
but, another problem came up.
it cannot detected in computer in any way, even in CWM.
another problem is charging mode is always in USB mode never in AC mode, even i plug in into a wall socket.
then i took out the flex cable again and inspect that the new cable is rev.1.x (i forgot) and the broken one is rev 2.2
maybe is that the cause?
okay, another problem is my sdcard is acting weird.
i have dropbox folder in /sdcard/Android/data/com.dropbox.android which take up places about 3terrabytes (yeah 3TB)
i have screenshot to show inside dropbox folder with ftp client.
i know i must format this internal sdcard but i cant connect them to PC.
i try wipe from airdroid, androidlost, AVG mobilation to format sdcard, the result is nothing.
i also trying to format from inside the phone setting and it doesnt work either.
any suggestion until i get the new usb flex cable rev 2.2 (im curious that this version is working fine)

Sir's what could be the cause if my OTG is not working..and my phone cant be detected in the PC even with PC Companion even charging..the fast few days it was working well i transferred some movies via OTG device to my phone..but yesterday when i tried to insert again my USB via OTG to my phone it cant be detected anymore and also via PC using my cable wire..now my only way on transferring files in my computer to my PC is by removing the SD card and putting it in a card reader..someone can help me with this problem?

Today I installed Cyanogenmod for the first time. The install seems to work as my phone is working perfectly. I connected my phone up to my computer to put the GApps file onto it to install them (and also to put on my app backups), but something weird happened. I plugged my phone in and it was charging and my computer recognized that a device was plugged in, but I had no way to access the device. It was in MTP mode with USB debugging turned on. I tried to used ADB but when I used the "adb devices" command it said that no devices were plugged in. I have no way of getting anything onto my phone. I also realize that I messed up really badly by moving my backups off of my phone and onto my computer. What do I do?
EDIT: I managed to install the google apps by doing it directly from the phone, but I still cannot push the backup files from my computer to my phone.
I'm not sure how to solve your PC->Phone connection but you could get a MicroSD USB adapter, copy/move what you need to a MicroSD card, then put the card into the phone.
