Hi ,
I use an Archos 80 Gen9 for less than a year, I've switch to 80XS for the white colour and Android Jellybean, the Archos 80XS is based on a Rockchip 3066 so it's not able to root or make a custom firmware easier like the 101xs.
I've tried to root the tablet with RKTool like an archos 97 cobalt but it's not possible because I don't have a file like "update.img" so I'm searching for extract the firmware of the tablet...
The file isn't on a website of Archos and nothing else on other website like arctablet, jbmm ...
For The ClockWorkMod... Same Way, after flash the Recovery and the kernel for be able to CWM with the Volume + and Power, have a blackscreen.
I have one question :
Have you an idea for extract the firmware 4.1.1? for make a custom update.img with root privilege and busybox.
Vinksan.
Owners of the Mach Speed Trio Stealth G4 7", 7.85", 10", and Stealth Mini 4.3", for those who are planning to root those devices, CPU-Z says that it has root access, and Poot shows that system/xbin/su is found, but Root Checker Basic says it has no access to root permissions (because system/bin/su is not found there.)
This causes the binary downloads will not work from ChainsDD's superuser and SuperSU. Also checked Terminal Emulator to not have access to root, thus not having the # symbol and you're stock with $.
How can we access root from the system/xbin/su? Do we have to get a custom recovery or something?
Oh and for those who tried one click apps like towelroot or baidu easy root, they DON'T WORK. (Because basically android 4.4 has like upped its security for prevention of rooting.)
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Trio Stealth G4 7.85" custom recovery
Hello, does anybody know where can I find a custom recovery for the Trio Stealth G4 7.85"?
Thanks.
Hey guys did you guys ever get this one out? Have a smilier problem
It appears as though the Stealth G4 7.85 has been left in the cold. I happen to have one. The 'xbin' folder is next to empty (save for three or four files), and the 'bin' folder somehow had a busybox binary already pre-installed (bought mine as new). However, I could not find the su or sudo binaries. Is there a custom recovery available? If so, that could be used to install root...

i don't want to start a new thread as these questions are relevant to my issue. can anyone help?
Hello Friends,recently I purchased a Datamini TWG10 Tablet whose ,
Build No :--> inet_phone_32-userdebug 5.1.1 LMY47V eng.inet_xch.20151009.121200 release-keys
This Tablet comes with Dual OS,i.e., Windows-10 & Android-5.1.1
Both are performing fully O.K.
Except that the root can't be accessed in Android-5.1.1.
The "su" shows Root : no root access
"superuser" does not function ,and it shows to manually re-root and update again.
The file directory for "su" is under /system/xbin/su
and permission for "su" is as : -rws--x---
How do I access the root ???????????
Please Help,Friends.
Moreover If I downgrade to Android-4.4.4(KitKat),to flash and re-root,can I apply this ???:--->(ONDA V891 Tablet ROM)
inet_phone_32-userdebug 4.4.4 KTU84P eng.inet_rance.20150129.210119 dev-keys
CPU of my Tablet is Intel Atom Z3735F Quad Core processor.
I had downloaded and installed Kingroot / Kingoroot ,both tools separately, but at the end of nearly 90% processing ,both the tools shows "no root access" as error in statement.
PLEASE HELP ME FRIENDS.
Also, how do I unlock the bootloader???
I have an Android device, that is a Chinese TV that runs on Android 4.4.4. I'm developing an app that needs root access to properly function which I will then install on the device.
I can connect to the devices via ADB over WiFi and gain root access too.
But I cannot gain root access from the app. A quick check by RootChecker app revealed that the "root access is not properly installed on the device". When my app tries to gain root access the error "uid xxx not allowed to su" occurs.
Turns out that the device is only stock root/systemless root.
So far, I've copied the su binary from my rooted Xiaomi Redmi 2 into the TV and replaced the /system/xbin/su with that file and changed the permissions. For some reason this did not work.
CPU model name of TV = ARMv7 Processor rev 5 (v7l)
CPU model name of phone = ARMv7 Processor rev 0 (v7l)
Since stock root is available, there must be a very straightforward way for me to root the device. Is it maybe possible to install TWRP on a device like this so that I can flash the SuperSU?
