I have the same problem, however I think mine came rooted from factory.
Did you find a solution?
My tablet-pc has Model number: T05A and
Build number: crane_evb-eng 4.0.3. IML74K 20120322 test-keys
Is it a Chinese-Brand tablet? Sounds like a hardware problem going on, did you try to unroot it?
Maybe we find answer via Google: "android busybox factory-reset-after-every-restart-shutdown".
... I am not allowed to paste links here
Is it under warranty?

Solved
Problem solved (at least for me) with the following procedure:
1. Find a valid Android Device ID --- needed for apk downloader
2. Download BusyBox .apk from GooglePlay via codekiem apk downloader
3. Install Android SDK and ADB on PC
4. Install Google device driver for ADB
5. On PC in DOS-cmd-window: adb install stericson.busybox-116.apk (if failure: try with -s option)
6. On tablet: Install Busybox in /system/bin ( xbin = big mistake!!!)
7. Restarted the tablet-pc and found all apps and settings restored
I'm not getting it right
My friend has one of these :
Model number: T05A
He installed the BusyBox on xbin and his device is stuck on factory resetting every reboot.
I looked at CocoaBean solution but when I do it I get this :
4455 KB/s (5536756 bytes in 1.213s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/bb783.apk
pkg----5------:
pkg----6------:
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE]
Now I know the device has 1 GB of space.
I also have the exact same Tablet and was wandering, is there a way to backup my total rom and put it on his tables ?
My tablet is new with nothing on so its a nice device to image.
I'm also not to worried about his apps and stuff, he doesn't care just wants it to work again.
Any advice ?

T05A firmware
Guys,
if any of you needs to reflash your tablet and cannot find the firmware of the manufacturer for Elijah U9 (T05A), I've made a separate thread for it here.
By the way, CocoaBean, thanks for the files.

guyssssss plz plzzzzzzzzzz helpppppppppppppppppppp helppppppp
Hi all,
I need your help with the following tablet 9" GT90H with Allview A23 CPU/ chipset and android 4.2. I want to backup the ROM, to perform few modifications and to upload the modified image to the tablet, but I am stuck on the first phase (cannot dump the rom).
I tried several ways to do it (actually that I found) to dump/ backup the stock ROM but I was stuck on all of them. First I tried using the clockwork way, but unfortunately my tablet is not supported (and I could not find supported MOD). Then I tried with romdump, but unfortunately I was stuck because the tablet does not have /proc/mnt file. Finally I found a way using the rkdump method but I had non recognize image error (although I am not sure if I found the correct partition to back up - /dev/block/by-name/recovery ). I have doubts if this is the correct partition, because I did a binary copy using dd to a file, which ended up with size around 32 MB (which I found too small for a recovery image).
So that is why I decided to seek help from more advance users (this is my first tablet, and first android experience) and I believe this forum is the right place for that.
My first request is could someone guide how to make a proper ROM backup, that I would be able to restore later?
In addition I want to ask is it possible, once I backed up the ROM, to modify for example the home page (because on the current ROM the home page for all browsers that I install is http://www.baidu.com)?
Moreover I would like to to install the ROM on external memory card and to run the tablet from there (because the internal memory of this table is too low - 8GB but for the system partition I have only 500 mb, which are all occupied with pre installed software). Is this something that I can achieve (android as far as I know is *unix system, and in theory this should be possible)?
Thank you in advance.
For increase space you can use Terminal Emulator for market and must have root on tablet.
Open terminal , and run the commands :
pm get-install-location (this will show you where apps are installing in this moment)
Auto device install is 0 (the tablet chose auto where to install apps, usuale is chosing to internal memory, your 500mb )
internal memory is 1 (Tablet memory - your 500mb )
External memory is 2 this is where you want to instal apps - (your 8GB )
After run the comand and see the sistem is set to AUTO (0) you will run this :
pm set-install-location 2 - This will force apps to instal in your 8gb
to check if is ok , run again : pm-get-install-location
exit terminal emulator
Good luck ! Hope it help you
Problem with my GT90H
Hey Guys,
I have a Problem with my GT90H. It stops to boot at the screen: Tablet PC - Keep Moving Forward.
If i go in the recovery mode. I can reboot the system, but it stops at the same screen like I explained in my first sentence.
The Factory Reset doesn't work. So I read in some communitys that Tablets can be flashed with a new ROM (Android System) over the USB Port from the Computer.
So can anybody send me the Android 4.2.2 Image for my GT90H ?
It's very important. So thanks.
Thanks for your help.

I'm badly need some expert advise.
.My china clone without name (rockchip-rk31sdk-WAWJMDN1KN).I decide to go ahead and try some custom rom using RKAndroidTool.
I did not realize that by cleaning IDB I will low level format..Before doing that I did save few pictures and run log via "android studio" also I backup whole unit via CWM hoping I will always have access to recovery.Unfortunately that not the case. The good think I still have access to RKAndroidTool( the tool is recognizing my device). There is the link to my CWM backup if may help

Inside that CWM backup is kernel.bin, system.bin recovery bin all
large sizes files (complete CWM of my last working tablet rk3188). Please ask me for pass to open 2x rar.
Maybe You will be able to advice me how to make proper files to revive my system from that backup I have, or help me some how to get CWM recovery working so I can use my CWM backup or any other way to make this tab back to life again.
Perhaps someone will give me idea to allocate proper parameter for recovery , kernel , boot , etc...

Hi. I am having a hard time trying to understand how to upgrade my tablet from kitkat 4.4 to at least marshmallow 6.
This are the facts:
Tablet: Philco TP7A1I - Assembled in Argentina by Newsan
Android: 4.4.4
CPU: Intel Atom Z3735G - 1.33Ghz - X86_64
GPU: Intel HD Graphics for BayTrail
RAM: 1GB
Flash Size: 8GB
The problem that I have is that all the info that I found related to upgrades is pointing to OTA upgrades using adb or, if we talk about Intel devices, upgrades via UEFI boot.
Well, I have neither of those posibilites. Or I least I dont know how to get in in UEFI boot.
If a navigate to Settings -> Backups & reset -> System Upgrade and then reboot the system into Recovery Mode, I finally get the Android menu with "reboot system now" "apply update from sdcard" and so on.
I think I need to install Android-x86, but I can't found the correct way to do it.
Iam trying to use adb to get some info from tablet, but no luck until now.
Any tip or advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Daniel.
@Danielalk
Updating/upgrading Android OS requires the Android device to be booted into Recovery Mode: thats a minimal 2nd Android OS ( with restricted ADB version ) from what you can install a so-called update.zip, means overwrite the existing Android OS in parts or at whole - this is possible because the existing ( full ) Android OS actually is not running.
So you have to find an update.zip that contains the x86_64 Android OS version of your choice. If found then you put the ZIP on device's external SD-card and finally apply it by means of adb apply update from sd card command.
In case you can't find a ready-to-go update.zip then you can try to create it by yourself.
BTW: Don't think it makes sense to invest time in this because Android M requires a device with 2+GB RAM to sucessfully work.
Thanks jwoegerbauer
@jwoegerbauer
Thanks for your time jwoegerbauer.
Well, I guess I need a new device and thats all.
Anyway the technical puzzle is interesting, so I will try to found a update.zip that matches my device and try to upgrade to Lollipop at least.
Just to learn about Android.
Thanks Again.
@Danielalk
These 2 x86-based Android phones also exist: ASUS Zenfone & LENOVO K80
It is possible to extract firmware tablet with intel sofia processor
Hi, my apologies for the intrusion. I have a philco tablet that has an intel sofia processor, it stayed in the logo, I did a hard reset and it did not work, I have got one. My question is if there is any possibility to extract the firmware and install it in the one that stays in the logo?
