Hello guys,
I’ve been a reader of this site / forum for a long time, and as I’ve gotten lots of information I’ll contribute something now, too.
Since about 2 months I own the Galaxy S7. Although the phone’s design and „feel“ is great, I’ve always wanted some kind of protection for my phones, and it’s no different with the S7. As I’ve had excellent experience with „Noreve“, a company from Saint-Tropez / France, I ordered one of their cases this time as well.
If you take a look at their website you’ll find a huge variety of different cases for (nearly) every smartphone. And the great thing is, that you can really personalize the cases, as there are lots of different types of leather you can choose from.
I decided to go with the „Horizontal wallet flap“ style, I’ve had this kind of case before and really liked it. As the case is handmade it took some time till I received it, but quality takes its time ...
After opening the package, first thing you see is a black & red box with the NOREVE logo and lettering.

Opening this box, you still can’t see the product, but a nice red soft pouch that „protects“ the case.
After unwrapping the pouch, you finally can see what you waited for: the case.
I chose the colour „Indigo“ from the „Ambition Couture“ line of leathers.
The S7 fits perfectly, inserting it the first time the case is pretty tight, but it „loosens“ / adapts after a few days.
The case got a cutout on the back fort he camera as well as the flashlight. When it’s closed you can still reach the on/off button on the right, and when flipping it open you got cutouts on the left fort he volume up / down buttons. The clasp is fixed with a magnet and holds the case closed very well.
The front, well better to say the leather on the front, is soft and feels very nice, whilst the back is pretty stable and (should) protect the phone well in case it’ll fall down on the floor etc.
After using the case nor for about two weeks I can say it’s been the right decission to go with the Noreve case again. Even after some pretty harsh treatment and a few bumps there are no signs of weardown or similar, it’s still nice and pretty.
Although the price is higher than for other cases, what you get is superb quality and a case that’s going to be with you and your S7 for a long time ...
Maybe I helped some of you that are in search of a case for the S7, if you got any questions don’t hesitate to write some comments and just ask
I wish you all a nice day,
with best regards from Germany

After having a see-through PTU case since day one, I rarely take the case off. Recently I have been using the Note with a digital amplifier to listen to music. Since the cutout on the case doesn't fit the 3.5 mm input, I have been taken the case off. I immediately noticed how sexy the Note is in it's complete naked state with the vivid capacitative button lit.
I suggest you do the same to yours if you are not already. Just not in public .
Mine has been in its birthday suit since its initial unboxing. It definitely is a nice looking phone. Although the materials are primarily plastic, it still feels premium. No creaking on this guy.

Sexy profile is why I'm also keeping mine nude but the phone is way too big to avoid some kind of bumping especially when I'm in my car.
I dropped my note couple of times already but I've been very lucky so far...
It really hurts my feeling when what I mentioned above happens... It worries me every time.
I've grown very attached to this phone. I think im at least getting a bumper case. The phone won't look so sexy with a cracked screen or bruised corners.

I know it aint cheap but for about $50, the otterbox defender case is the best *insurance* and piece of mind, money can buy imo.

Thread Cleaned
I know its just a bit of fun, but it could offend someone. Lets keep it clean now people
this is why i use a slim SLIM case on my note, doesnt really add anything or take anything away from it and all ports are super accessible.
Looking for a great slim case
I know the Otter Box Defender offers ultimate protection on the go but it's also hideously ugly and makes the device untenable for pocket use. I have no intentions of carrying it on my hip so I need something slim that offers some protection without detracting significantly from the beauty of the device. Has anyone tried different cases and found one that they love that sort of fit the aforementioned criteria?
BTW, currently I have a black Trident case on it which adds some bulk and size. It's still pocketable but it covers up the entire phone with a raised border around the screen for some protection. All that black is covering up my beautiful white though (except for the face). I'll be taking it back but I don't want to go unprotected. Ummmm...well, you know what I mean.
What's up guys!
Long time reader and advice-taker, first time poster (as far as I remember ) so I figured I'd make myself useful and review my setup right now. Over the past year and a half my EVO 3D has seen its fair share of drops and scratches. I finally decided to invest in a case, so after having read many reviews I decided to buy the Seidio SURFACE case with kickstand, along with a Banggood privacy screenguard for kicks. After having had the case and screen protector for two weeks now, I'm extremely satisfied with not only the quality of the two, but the new aesthetic appeal to it. The matte of the case matches perfectly with the matte look of the screen protector, making it look like a COMPLETELY new phone. I immediately starting receiving compliments from my friends who would say things like "Whoa, what phone is that?" and "Did you get a new phone?" who had seen what my banged up phone looked like prior to the case. Along with this newfound aesthetic appeal is the functionality of the case; the stand is sturdy and provides multiple viewing angles (a feature i thought I'd never use but actually do) and of course, the case protects the phone. It has survived a drop or two knick-free. For a total of around $30 I'm extremely satisfied.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to present a review of my new Noreve case for the Lumia 920. While I don't post in this section of the forum usually, those who know me will know that I love my Noreve cases, and I think that they are the best cases that money can buy. So I am thrilled to be reviewing another case by them, this time for the Nokia Lumia 920. This is my 4th Noreve case, so I am familiar with the company and with their dedication to quality.
Right off the bat, you are as always, greeted with the quality Noreve packaging :

The smell of genuine leather hits you after you've taken the case out of it's protective sleeve. The colour for this particular case is described as "Lie de vin" on the Noreve website, and is part of their Ambition selection. It's a grainy leather with a very fine, soft touch to it. It's not prone to fingerprints or smudges. The colour I think it's really great, as a standard black case for this phone wouldn't quite do it justice I think. It's a deep pink and it looks luscious.
Here are some more pictures of the case, with more detail, and shots covering both sides, the top, and the back.
The great thing about Noreve cases are the cut outs for the ports. They're all flawless, everything which needs to be there simply is, and anything which doesn't simply is not. The clasp when you close the case is nice and firm, and will not open unless you want it to. The stitching throughout the case is exceptional as always as with Noreve cases. Then again, you get what you pay for. This case in this finish is 53 Euros on their website. While some may feel like that's a lot, it's a case with outstanding quality. And this being my 4th Noreve case, I can say with experience that they hold up to just about anything, while looking classy as can be at the same time. I've never had any of their cases wear out on me, or have the stitching come apart, etc. These are built like tanks, yet still look elegant. Usually, those two features are mutually exclusive to one another.
And just the touch and smell of high quality genuine leather gets me every time..
Thank you all for reading. For those of you who are interested, you can check out their Lumia 920 product page here.
Also feel free to check out my other reviews on Noreve cases on this forum. A quick search for "Noreve" at the top should bring them up
Cheers.

I might be wrong but I don't think you can do wireless charging with any case on.
Wireless charging with the original nokia cover CC-1043 is working!
For all you UK/EU users, the excellent Armourdillo case is now in stock at MobileFun for the OnePlus 5, I really enjoyed this case for my 3T, it provides excellent drop/front protection for your phone at a reasonable price.

Sadly they don't have a large range of colours yet, only black or blue:
Black : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/olixar-armourdillo-oneplus-5-protective-case-black-p64276.htm
Blue : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/olixar-armourdillo-oneplus-5-protective-case-blue-p64278.htm
Although at £12.99 and offering similar protection to the Otterbox I would still say that's a great deal. Mine is in the post so I'll add some images when it arrives.
I'm hoping the ridges on the bottom are the same depth as the pop-out stand as pop-out cases usually tend to rock when you try to use the phone on a table. It doesn't look like that's the case though, that's the main thing I would want to change about it.
I'd love to know how they got the phone in silver with a white front, possibly it was a prototype for cases they were given, I would guess this as the ports on the bottom seem to be sealed.
In other news, the Rhinoshield has also just arrived in stock with MobileFun today too:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/rhinoshield-crashguard-oneplus-5-protective-bumper-case-black-p64392.htm
I've ordered that as well so I'll try to leave a small review when it arrives.
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with MobileFun in any way and the links above are not affiliate links, I just enjoy their products and service.
So, The Armourdillo has arrived (MobileFun sent an e-mail explaining that the Rhinoshield is delayed ) :
See attached pictures for the Armourdillo (Black) in all it's glory...along with a nice shot of my pentile matrix on my Orzly screen protector, you can see there is adequate protections for the back/sides, there's ample room around the ports, the notification switch is also very accessible.
The phone will rock slightly when it's on it's back and you're using it which I predict will become a bugbear, really don't understand why they can't raise the ridges slightly or make the stand removable, all these types of cases have these oversights.
As you can see there's adequate face protection too, especially when you're using a TGP as I am, there's still clearance with that on too.
Any questions, let me know.

How breakable is the outer part? I had one on my workphone (A5 2016) and one little drop cracked the back. Wasn't pleased one bit but I hope it's got better
Not sure and I don't intend to find out but it seems sturdy enough, the case does add a bit of weight to the phone but with the added protection I don't mind.
Does it stick out a lot, the stand part?

It does a bit, I really wish they'd make that an clip on part or raise the rest of the back to match.
I have been a noreve customer for sereral years, having noreve cases for the e-reader Sony PRS-T1, Sony Xperia Pro, HTC One M8, and now the Nokia 7 plus (mine is a TA-1046).

If you are looking for a light and thin case, go away, this is certainly not for you. This case is heavy and thick. Heavy as same weight as the phone. Thick as almost three times the thickness of the phone. If you are vegan, go away, this is leather. If you are still reading this, I can tell you it really protects the phone, allows you to "carelessly" put it in a bag, is very elegant, and will last longer than the device itself.
Before talking about price, let me explain my point of view on "expensive vs lot of money": let's say someone sells you a Ferrari, in perfect condition, $1000. This is cheap, but this is also a lot of money. Now, let's say someone sells you a used pen for $5. This is very expensive, but this is not that a lot of money.
That said, the case costs a lot of money, but IMHO, it is not that expensive. Price starts at about $50 ($49.04), then it depends on options and leather you chose, where it can almost rise up to 4 times that price. Which is (or "could be percieved as") ridiculous compared to the price of the phone.
I would not have taken anything than the standard black finish, which is very nice (remember I had other cases for other devices), if it had not been a gift. I have the "tentation tropézienne" "blu marino" model.
Packaging:
It comes in a pouch, and the pouch inside a rigid box. Useless, but very nice. It took three weeks after ordering to get it, but my previous purchases were fast. This is due to custom manufacturing. All non-standard leathers are not in stock and made on-demand. You are warned before ordering, with a pretty correct estimation of delivery date. In my case it was spot-on, but for someone I know, it was two weeks off (non-standard leather also).
Feel and fit:
Once iserted in the case, the phone fits tight and won't escape. You will have to remove the phone from the case if you need access to SD/SIM tray. I had to, and it is not that easy to remove the phone. Like with my previous devices, after a few times it becomes easier, but will not become loose.
Design:
Looks like an agenda or some kind of small notebook. Being a "wallet flap" as they call it, it opens like a book. For the Xperia Pro and the M8 I had the vertical flap, I wanted a change. What I can say is it seems more practical for taking pictures, at least for me. The flap has pockets that can hold small papers or credit cards.
As I told in previous section, SD/SIM tray can only be reached by removing the phone from the case. All other buttons and connectors are accessible.
Even if the phoneis almost completely covered, you can still see the copper finish.
Cuts for camera and flash are ok. For the fingerprint sensor, the case being very thick, you have to get used to it, especially, if like me, you had the phone for several weeks with the standard case. It remains completely functional and reachable without much effort.
Conclusion TL;DR:
It might not be a practical choice for everyone, being thick and relatively heavy. But if you like good-looking stuff, a bit "vintage", very protective cases, and if its price is not a no-go, this might be your choice as well. At least it is mine.
