Google search the wiki. It is there. Other programs like SK Tools can help you as well.
You want to change the agent string, in the registry.
Various free and commercial tweakers will let you do this.

Thanks all... I love XM Radio, but I love my Pandora stations even more... I think I have bought 15 - 20 songs becuase of it from artists I have never heard of.
I guess Pandora is smarter than my 8525... I changed the agent string and have had no luck.

I believe the fix for the current version is very simple
I have created a Football (Soccer) Monitoring Service which alerts you when a team is playing and on score updates.
Configurable for teams, and frequency of update. Works with lots of major leagues round the world.
Still early days, but I hope other people will find this useful.
Obviously it requires an internet connection to get it's data, so my advice is not to use if you don't want to get charged!

Hi, Added some, I will add more when I've captured them.
Been trying out this app for a few days and it is working very nicely. Very prompt updates for live games.
My only criticisms would be :
Interface looks dated (but appreciate that the app is at an early stage of development). Maybe use the Manila SDK to improve visuals?
Performance of phones suffers slightly when serivce is running. Not unbareable but scrolling in HTC Sense is slightly jerky.
Would be good to be able to choose specific Leagues/Competitions rather than just teams.
Populating the list of teams you wish to follow can take a bit of time scrolling through the list of available teams.
An error message appears when clicking on the '>' button on the results page (will post up the full message when I get home this evening)
PS. I'm running the app on an HTC HD2.

I haven't seen the Manila SDK, I will look into it. My priority was getting it working first, then looking nice later. I was thinking of looking at this very soon.

Thats cool about the interface - I figured you were going for functionality over form at the moment since it is early in development.
I've got a few ideas for the interface that would basically utilise drop-down menus for selecting Competitions/Teams. I'll quickly draft something up in Photoshop at the weekend if your interested?

I have had this a few days! Great app.
But I select lower league teams, Swindon and I didnt get any updates of the score, although I was glad as they lost.
I have Liverpool and Everton and they both worked.
So not sure why the lower leagues arent working.

Sorry about that Keith, tell you what, next time they play can you change the log-level to 2 and, if you have the same problem, can you send me the log file from inside the directory?

I'm living in central Europe, and all times are shift by 1 hour.
Because of this, live notifications doesn't work.
When app. is waking up at shifted time, it's give me a message "No match today" (or something like that).
Could you please make it "Timezone independent"? Just read the zone from system and shift all match times.

Strange, I thought I made it so it already did this, it takes the time, and converts to local time. Can you check in the log file, there will probably be a line saying something like "SLEEP", then a time. Can you check whether the time for a local match you know starts at a certain time, is incorrect?
Anyone else seeing this problem?

It looks promising. I have got the message about them playing today! well Saturday, which I suppose is today.....
I did add a couple more teams, I then turned my phone off then on and got another messages saying all the teams selected are playing today, so maybe it needs a restart to make it work?

1) The score update can be disabled, which would only give you the result when the match has finished. Otherwise, what would be the point in actually running the app, to know when the next match is?
2) Currently, no it cannot notify of matches that far in advance. The information it gets to build this data does not have more than 1 day.
3) Yeah, the time zone thing should be fixed now in version 0.21

Ah, yes, the service needs a restart after you've added more teams, I have made a note to prompt on add.
Great app! wish it worked on my Touch Pro, but when I click on configure -> choose teams, program hangs and pocketpc becomes very slow... any ideas?

I was quite disappointed when I loaded TeamViewer (allows remote control of a pc from your phone) onto my Note and found it to be one of several apps that wouldn't load. There were some games that wouldn't load, but I could care less about those. After working with the support team of TeamViewer, they stumbled onto the fact that the default language for my Note wasn't set. (no idea how or why)
Long story short, after resetting the default language, not only did TeamViewer work, but so did several of the other apps and games that wouldn't load. Obviously the ones that were failing due to the screen resolution, thinking it was a tablet etc, still won't work.
Just something that's quick to check that obviously has an impact on how some of your apps may operate.
This is actually a known issue. It came up in the thread about IMDB not working correctly.

I found something new for the mad catz m.o.j.o messing around with an app called "hidden menus",it doesn't have a lot on there in terms of tweaks and menus to open per say,but interestingly is an option for lte ram dump on/off and it can be toggled on or off,has anyone got any idea what that is? For this click on testing,then on device information then scroll down to lte ram dum on/off to toggle,there are also battery temp and usage stating 8.0 celcius and up time on AC.Maybe there are other varied options there others can utilize or tinker with if any actualy do what they state they do?
Hopefully ram dump allows the dump of the firmware over adb or something like that,but i think lte is a data connection type or something to that effect?

Just found if you add test menu application and ex dialer app and you open test menu it gives a number to dial that brings up the test section found in hidden menus way quicker i added the address as a email address when asked in first run of test menu after install.
I have a 2013 model LG Google TV G3 55GA6450 that was recently gifted to me. Whenever I try to configure it to use the built-in tuner as my video source, I encounter "Unfortunately, VideoInputSetup has stopped"
According to this G+ thread, the error has to do with Google no longer supporting the local channel / programming lineup service thus causing the app to crash, and making the TV unusable as there is no other way to enable the TV Tuner input option without the app.
I have already tried force closing the 'VideoInputSetup' app, clearing its cache, etc. Also tried were a factory reset and using a custom launcher shortcut to launch the different functions of the app. Nothing has worked so far. I am willing, (with help) to extract the app and send it along to whoever and see if they can fix. Or to help any other steps / process to fix the issue.
Optionally, if someone might be willing to help me root and/or upgrade the device to newer Android TV, that would be awesome

Negative. I was able to find a way to manually add channels to the tuner, but it is currently useless without a way to enable the tuner for Input selection.
Thanks! Could you share the manual process to add channels? Right now, I have a fancy wall paper, would at least like to watch the morning news. Thanks in advance!

This will only work if you already have the "Buil-In Tuner" option available under Inputs.
You will need an app to launch custom shortcuts, I am using QuickShortcuts. Some custom launchers can also do this.
In the shortcut app, find the Settings application under "Activities". Expand it and then scroll through the activities until you find "Manual Tuning" (com.android.settings/com.android.settings.lge.channel.ManualScanActivity) and select that and finish setting up the shortcut to it. Launch the shortcut and add the channels you want.
and is there anything that we can using inseed to do this manually? It is working but there is a bad pop up saying "no paired devices found" and I can't change channel.

I've tried decompiling the VideoInputSetup apk to see if I could manually change anything in the part that keeps crashing, but I wasn't able to recompile it afterwards.
And I've tried everything else I can think of as a work around for those like me with LG's that can't even see the manual tuner in the input options, but to no avail ?
Correct, the manual function for the tuner is not available. I am writing to LG every week to get this done. know it is a lost of time ...

After a few calls with LG support, and asking for escalation, I learned that a converter box is the workaround. I have coaxial from cable provider. The converter box should have an hdmi output. Any suggestions on which product/model works well?
After accidentally rescanning for channels, I've bricked my TV for the broadcast channels. I've tried to use Teamviewer, Remodroid, but I can't find proper instructions to connect remotely to possibly fix the problem. The exploiteers website seems promising (www exploitee.rs) but not much information for my LG GA6450...
Anyone with update root instructions or ways to get Manual Tuner to work.? I've tried the manual tuner method but no channels are showing up.
I ran into this same issue and had several frustrating calls with LG support that went nowhere. I was lucky enough to stumble on some other suggestions and found a workaround. While not perfect, I can actually use the TV again. I hope this helps others in a similar situation. Follow the steps below and do not deviate (trust me I got really close to bricking my TV figuring this out):
From settings navigate to "Applications".
Scroll over to "All" and then down to find "Live TV" and open it.
Click on "Disable".
Exit back to settings and then to "Channels" (you'll see the options are now enabled).
Auto scan for channels (or if you've already done this manually tune to a channel).
Exit back to settings and back to "Applications".
Scroll over to "All" and then down to find "Live TV" and open it.
Click on "Enable".
Turn the TV off and then back on. (You'll notice you can change the channel, but after android has finished restarting it won't let you any longer).
To get around that, use the gesture button and click on the channel bar at the top to enable to guide below. You can now scroll up and down through channels, find the one you want and open to watch.
Note - If you press the "Home" button, you will no longer be able to get back to live TV. You will have to repeat the steps (on step 5, you can just manually tune). It's extremely frustrating that LG won't release an updated firmware to simply re-enable the tuner and I'm very disappointed with the way they have handled this situation (as well as how they interact with faithful customers).
