If this kernel does not fit your needs or it has too many features (you may not be looking for a kernel like this), may I suggest you check out B14CKB1RD kernel by REV3NT3CH. People assume this is some kind of competition and it is to an extent. I have always respected REV3NT3CH and highly suggest his kernel if you dont find what you are looking for here.
Special Thanks
All the kernel devs on XDA
@yoinx (Friendship, Guidance, You name it, the man is just that good)
@Neo (Friendship, Guidance (Both in and out of XDA), and Teachings)
@REV3NT3CH (Friendship, Keeping me in check, and showing me that the ideas may be good, but they needed to be executed better)
@Snuzzo (Friendship, keeping me in check, and his teachings that I will be forever grateful for)
@neobuddy89 (I admire his work and have used a lot of it. Great guy as well)
RESERVED
Mine too
I wanted to use a new thread instead of the old one because of how far I have come with the kernel.
M-Version works on 6.X.X
N-Version works on 7.X.X
You guys should notice a difference in stability and battery life.
Lol I'm first fur once. Thanks buddy

Has to be browser related.
You can google apophis9283 singularity androidfilehost.
Then navigate there that way until we can find why its doing that.
ALSO IT WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA TO WIPE KERNEL APP DATA. - GENERAL INFO FOR ANYONE DOWNLOADING MY KERNEL.
Not yelling at you.... should have made a seperate post but I'm heading to bed

Thank you kind sir, good to be back.
A couple things. Its much better than before, Ive learned moderation (No need to play with something when its not broken), I spend more time with my family than working on the kernel. In fact you can see from my source. I still want to be that kernel guy that gives you every option possible yet stable and battery friendly. Releases won't come like they used to. Also something you can see in my source. While away learned more about kernels, what makes them tick, best way to get a good performance/battery stock profile going. I have 2 testers, one for M and one for N. They are the only ones able to access these "beta" builds and I make adjustments according to what they tell me.

Thank you for the warm welcome.
My intentions regarding my builds. At this moment I see no reason to switch to N just yet. I will continue supporting M until the point where I switch to N and then from there on out I will only make N builds BUT will keep my last M build for anyone who wants it.

Hey man, family comes first. Always. I shut down maintaining for Cyanide because of school and family stuff. If people don't understand that, they can GTFO. You get updates put as you wish. And the rest of us can patiently wait. I must admit I was sad when you were away, but you do you. And thanks for all the hard work.

Mounting Storage With OTG:
Use either an OTG app or a file explorer, USB storage devices will be mounted to /usbdisk
Im trying to get this merged to our recovery also so we can backup encrypted nandroids to a flash drive
Let me know if you have any issues with this kernel
there is another project im working on so new features may not flood in right away
Flashed this to my rezound running cm11. Booted fine and seems to be running great so far. Will report back with any findings.
What specifics did you change to get wiimote working? Is it to say that I can use wiimote apps from the play store now? Does this fix the Bluetooth issue that Google changed after 4.1.2? I used to love playing SNES ROMs on my tablet with my wiimote. Perhaps the best companion on a flight ever.
Thank for your work on this Devs.

With the WiiMote i had to add back the driver that was missing, its also not available for 3.0 kernels by default.
now in my testing its not working in 4.4.3, if the LED's keep flashing than its not completely connected & i will get this working again
but when it is working there is no need for extra WiiMote apps from the playstore to connect or button map because its all baked into the driver thats inside the kernel :good:
Edit: just fixed it

You should be able to, i haven't tested this myself since i am not s-on but the scripts used support s-on detection
it will than make a flashable zip that is compatible with the bootloader than reboot to bootloader and flash it for you
if you test this let me know, i remember this script worked fine for older kernels but i currently need feedback on it
okay, re-uploaded the kernel check the changelog in post 2 :good: just wiimote fixes
When flashed it restarted to bootloader I flashed my IMG and all is well

Anytime! Also got a little extra mod you might be interested in. Its regards to the advanced TCP control algorithms.
https://github.com/IllusionRom/andr...mmit/ff33333403d82b3105897e7331ac11618489af8e
If you don't use this and attempt to run say Westwood as default, kernel will kick it back to Cubic.

Nice, thanks again!
Will definitely try this, was holding off the next version of my kernel since REV and I joined a project regarding our kernel getting out of legacy and I didn't want to spend a lot of time debasing this kernel if the project was successful but I think I'm just going to start adding things again

One tiny request, very low priority (I'm still on CM10.1) - can you add LulzActive governor? I have had great results with running Core0 on LulzActive and Core1 on Badass. Not sure if Lulz is even relevant any more, but I do like it. :fingers-crossed:

Welcome to the first custom kernel for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.Providing instability to the masses since October 21, 2014
This kernel currently supports most North American carriers. Automatic selection is provided through the use of specialized recovery packages that will detect your device version and make appropriate adjustments.
Mereology (from the Greek μερος, ‘part’) is the theory of parthood relations: of the relations of part to whole and the relations of part to part within a whole. I do not take responsibility for anything these days, but I'll try to do my part and help.

Will be nice if you can provide two different build. One without all the fancy things that some people wont have use for, such as overclocking, close to stock as possible but still provide stability, smoothness, and better battery life.
Some kernel makers just slap everything they can onto a kernel and in the long wrong, it is simply instable or provide hicups (that they will never own up to lol)
Nice job twisted keep it coming...

I don't provide anything I wouldn't run on my own device. If you want it to be stock, vote for stock. If that is what wins, that is what I will build. It is enough to provide a single kernel for a bunch of devices without trying to keep track of per-device versions. I slap everything I can onto a kernel, test it, then delete or fix the broken stuff. My github is always current and anything I changed is clearly published to point the finger at whoever it needs to be pointed at.
Lol just throwing it out there , that is my vote
I vote like mgbotoe! Thank you sir!

Tried flashing the files (that are highlighted) in picture attachment using odin 3.07, got a fail. What am I doing wrong? Anyone else flash yet? How'd ya do it and did it work out ok?
Thanks Ahead.

Hardlimit by yank555 I'd like to see, along with your hotplug of choice, I like intelliplug myself, some govs, I usually stick with interactive anyways, maybe some mdnie controls etc etc. Lol I'm just tossing out what I enjoy..but, you tell me, what do you normally build in your kernels.?

I've heard Odin doesn't like the files. I use Heimdall but I'll be looking into that.

You're starting to sound like the Best Buy reps when Windows 8 came out. At least before they had to start telling everyone 8.1 was coming to fix how terrible it turned out being once people started using it.
You have to run cygwin or an Ubuntu VM inside windows to build Android. You can run windows AND Ubuntu as windowed applications on Mac. Seems unnecessary when the real issue is consistency in the cm repos. The instructions say to get the Linux compiler ports, while detection identifies the platform compilers.
And fast change it you can

I don't know how good of an idea messing with the adaptive charging would be, but I'll look into it. It depends if that functionality is tied into the USB port charging or not.
It is great that you have done this work and I (along with a bunch of others) are really grateful - it would be nice if we could flash this -
Doesn't work with Odin - not sure about the other option you mentioned, I personally have never used that method -
So - any instructions you can offer would be great - unless you feel it is not appropriate to flash this yet?
Your help - and input is greatly appreciated.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I personally loved leanKernel on my Note 3 - all the latest fixes and improvements without 40000 things that only crazy experimenters and overclockers would use. I'd love a solid, lean, and mean daily-driver kernel.

Ironically, modifying imoseyon's kernels was how I first learned to build. I took his and added those one or two additional things I found somewhere else and wanted to use. Right now, I am working on getting intellidemand updated for this kernel, but I am only looking to get a few options that really work well so if there are better, let me know.
For the TCP congestion avoidance, it appears that enabling advanced options somehow broke selection. It appears to work just fine, but that troubles me. I don't want to force a setting for that, but if it comes down to it, I may have to limit the options.
Veno, from some documentation I've recently read, was the optimal option for mobile network performance. I believe it was reno that was best for wifi performance, but I have to go back and read up again.
I added some code for fast charge to be verified, but the layout is much different than most Samsung phones, so I won't know if it works until I attempt to blow up my phone.

Welcome to Quantum, a kernel built around the idea of performance and battery life through smart optimizations. Those who have followed my work on the Galaxy S3 will know exactly what to expect. All feature requests will be considered, and all bug reports should be accompanied by a logcat and as much information as possible, this helps out everyone and gets your problem resolved as soon as humanly possible. For now this is only for Lollipop GPe, but I may branch out to Sense at some point in the future.

Can't drop a name at the moment. But over at bbhyrids and one of the main maintainer and hybrids cookers. He was making some nexus roms while back.

Pwncakes, you look vaguely familiar...were you using LG OpT, HTC I4G, SG Note, or LG OpG ? I've seen your name before
Didn't mean to clog your thread w/ useless nonsense, but was entirely to lazy to message you (anyways thank you for the contribution) Anything in the kernel that would make it incompatible w/ 4.4 roms ?
Pwn! I ran your stuff exclusively on my s3. Great to have you here!
Has anyone used this kernel yet?

Great to see the old gang from the S3 moving over here, I still have more goodies left for everyone, I will release my interactive tunables later today. With these tunables I get around 4 hours SoT over a 2 day period, or around 10 in a 24 hour period.

The kernel will play nicely with anything as long as it's a GPe base. So Skydragon and others are compatible... this won't work on Sense ROMs and CM-based CAF ROMs yet.
downloading and flashing now. will report back later. thank you @PwnCakes193 for work and time. currently on spirit ROM , unlocked , superCID , s-off , latest FW , superSU v2.40.
nope. spirit must be cm based though OP doesnt mention. have to find another ROM.

Dont forget:
Flashing this Kernel voids your warranty. And as with any custom kernel it comes with the usual dangers/ side effects such as, but not limited to, explosions, wars, spontaneous combustion, your pet forgetting all his/her tricks, retrograde and anterograde amnesia, interpersonal alienation, a number of psychosomatic, neurological, and metaphysical complaints, and in general an overall disturbance in the "order of things". Having said all that, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for anything happening to your phone as a result of you flashing this kernel...
One Final Note: I am NOT a developer... I dont claim to be, i dont pretend to be... HOWEVER, this is NOT the following (unless the person who made this demeaning claim about myself and my work can also prove it):
There are far too many people on this site now that think because they can copy a kernel script into a repo and rename someone else's work that they're a developer. This is so far from the truth it's not even funny. If you want to call yourself a developer, actually develop something. Something new, not a rebranded version of somebody's work.

We do indeed have wifi calling, I use it religiously, which saves me LOADS of battery. As you know low signal, or a searching radio = battery drain. I actually even have it setup and saved in my google all the wifi hotspots of places I frequent as well (even small places that have it like taco bell or subway etc) Makes saving battery easy as pie.

working great here!
Sometimes while on device I'll get a random screen shut off... That's about the only problem I see right now

NavelC - Kernel
**READ ** **READ**
The story.....
This is more of a personal kernel I decided to share. It's was made for those that have the Thermal Mod from HERE And HERE
I was keeping it as stockish as I could. But to bring it here, I decided to add a level of safety by adding intellithermal because I raised the thermal limits. If you just flash this and make no adjustments, it will be just fine WITHOUT the Thermal mod.
See post #2 and #6
This is pretty much a finished kernel. I'll probably only do fixes if needed.

Install insructions:
This should work on any ZVC, and possibly ZVA-B Stock based ROM. Just flash in recovery

How to change profiles with Kernel Aduitor
"CPU"
"CPU Governor tunables"
Scoll down to "profile_number, and select the one you want. (The profile name will show right above it).
I would recommend rebooting when done.
zzmoove profiles
* currently available profiles by ZaneZam and Yank555:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(1)'def' -> Default -> will set governor defaults
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(2)'ybat -> Yank Battery -> a very good battery/performance balanced setting -
DEV-NOTE: highly recommended! -
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(3)'ybatext'-> Yank Battery Extreme -> like yank battery but focus on battery saving -
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(4)'zzbat' -> ZaneZam Battery -> a more 'harsh' setting strictly focused on battery saving -
DEV-NOTE: might give some lags! -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(5)'zzbatp' -> ZaneZam Battery Plus -> NEW! reworked 'faster' battery setting -
DEV-NOTE: recommended too! -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(6)'zzopt' -> ZaneZam Optimized -> balanced setting with no focus in any direction -
DEV-NOTE: relict from back in the days, even though some people still like it! -
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(7)'zzmod' -> ZaneZam Moderate -> NEW! setting based on 'zzopt' which has mainly (but not strictly only!) 2 cores online -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(8)'zzperf' -> ZaneZam Performance -> all you can get from zzmoove in terms of performance but still has the fast -
down scaling/hotplugging behaving -
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(9)'zzinz' -> ZaneZam InZane -> NEW! based on performance with new insane scaling active. a new experience! -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(10)'zzgame' -> ZaneZam Gaming -> NEW! based on performance with scaling block enabled to avoid cpu overheating during gameplay -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(11)'zzrelax'-> ZaneZam Relax -> NEW! based on moderate (except hotplug settings) with relaxed sleep settings -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*
* NOTE: be aware when setting tuneables which have a 'should' in comments below that giving
* them 'wrong' values can lead to odd hotplug behaving!
Engine, have you done that thermal mod and if so was it worth it? I I've been thinking about doing it with the pad.

I did. I think it's worth it. Or seems to be.
I plan on having this for a while. And if we luck out and get M, that'll be so much the better.
There's really nothing out there that beats this phone, for me. Specs and screen size are perfect.
Because I have the mod, I built the original kernel a little differently. So to bring it here, I added intellithermal for the extra safety.

Yeah I'm with you. There's really nothing out there that is so much better than the G3 it's worth upgrading. I personally think the 801 is better than the 808 & 810 anyway.
Thanks for the input.
Just an FYI.
This kernel runs fine even without the Thermal mod. You just need to watch your CPU temps and settings.
For those without the mod, use the zzmoove profiles having to do with battery. 2-5 are probably best. Lionheart and the upper zzmoove profiles will keep the CPU higher unless you tweak the settings even further.
As for Intellithermal, I'll keep it in, so there will only be the one kernel that I'll work with. The way it's built in gave me concern as to what would happen if it was disabled. But it seems to be working fine. I do not game much so I really haven't stressed the CPU/GPU to see for sure.
If you have the mod, then disable Intellitherm.
If you don't, then enable it and tweak the temps to about 85-90C in it's settings. Or leave it as default. This is just a suggestion.
There is debate over raising the Thermals in the kernel. I raised them 10-15C which is still within the limits of the phone. That's why you need to watch your temps when tweaking this kernel. When I first built it, I didn't use Intellithermal and was getting Antutu scores of 56000. Up from 51000 with stock. I only benchmarked to stress the CPU/GPU. I really don't care about them otherwise.
I'll update the OP in a few, so it doesn't sound like this kernel will melt your face off. It's just me not wanting to trash someones phone.
I installed the kernel last night, using intellithermal, so far so good. I ordered thermal pads last night to do the mod so I'll do that this week probably. But no issues with the kernel so far, I've done a little gaming today and it didn't get very hot, I didn't change any settings though either.
For the life of me I can't get this kernel to work. It freezes the phone after 1 minute. Tried reflashing, and wiping dalvik/cache. Will be back to stock kernel for a bit. I do love the work you put out engine

Well that's just great. I've never had a problem at all so I'm not sure what to say??
Do you have xposed installed?
Any previous settings from another kernel or tuner?
Maybe try this.... Flash skin's oversharpening fix right after the kernel then reboot? It can't hurt. You need to look for it but I'm pretty sure it's in a few of my threads.

No I don't have xposed installed. I tried resetting data on faux, then deleted it and tried kernel aduitor with no luck. The phone feels extremely laggy on start up and freezes when I open any app. It's not a big deal, I've been happy running the stock kernel from your zvc rom. Just thought I'd try this one out. Thanks again for your work!
I noticed there are a couple settings that are unavailable in KA, like power settings and screen saturation. Is this just me or were they left out of this version?

Not in this one. The power suspend, or undervolting, I'm not sure which one you mean, were extras I didn't feel I needed. As was sound control and kcal. This is just going to stay pretty much as is in the changelog.
If M doesn't happen for us then I'll probably add those later. But I'm trying to hold out for M.
@kmull4 Are you using the zv4/6 rpm,tz partitions? If not, try flashing those. I'm curious if that could be the culprit.
Another option is to install the kernel without the ext sd in. Maybe?
I've flash this kernel to a back up that I have and did abfresh install and on both times it has mess up my sdcard to the point that is not accessible at all anyone else with the same issue???

What size card and format is it in?
I haven't had a problem with my 32GB card since flashing the kernel. I actually just got a new 64GB sandisk card yesterday and put it in today and the phone would not recognize it. I got it to work by formatting the card to FAT32. Not sure if its a kernel issue or a hardware issue, never had a problem with exFAT before on this phone.

I have an 128gb card exFAT that I've been using in my phone for a long time and just whenever i flash that kernel I have that issue!!!

exfat and/or cards over 32Gb have always had issues on this phone. I don't think LG supports is as other company's do. In all the Git's I've gone though, everybody is always trying to fix it for this phone. In the forums you'll also see complaints about exfat.
Our phone uses fat32 for the sd. Sometimes we can get lucky and use exfat. I've used both in the year and a half I've had this phone, and in the end, I'm back to fat32. It's the most reliable.
V2 in OP Read/See changelog
It's very different from V1. I like this one better.
You may need to update profile/prl.
Then "Activate this device"
(In its upper right corner there is a menu "Reset cellular data" You may need to do this also.)
Between reworking the clocks, and reception items, which are all in "DTB" it can mess with reception.
I also found Intelliplug is another culprit somehow. And it doesn't touch DTB. Weird
So, just to be clear - if I haven't performed any thermal mod, I should not flash this kernel, correct? I see IntelliThermal removed in v2. Would that make v2 unsafe if I haven't performed any thermal mod?

They will both without the mod. I removed mine just to make sure and its been running fine for 2 days with V2.
I'm just letting stock handle it all and its fine.
