Anyone have working google assistant on OPX?teach me pls
What version of android are you on?
If Nougat, "Get Assistant" app in play store is the easiest one to, well, get assistant.
If Marshmallow, Xposed + Android N-ify preview builds + the right version of Google App is your answer.

Hey everyone,
I have a rooted Chinese GT-P7500 w/4.0.4. Trying to get Google Play Store on it.
I've tried the following:
Attempt 1:
Account manager: 4.03
Services Framework: 4.04
Play Services: 4.034
Google Play Store 4.4.21
Attempt 2:
SetupWizard-signed.apk
OneTimeInitilaizer.apk
Google Services Framework v.2.3.4
Google Paly Store 4.0.27
Attempt 3:
Google Play Services v6.1.83 (1522025-030 and 032)
Google 5.1.1 / 5.0.32 / 5.2.13
My guess is that installing Play Serices v.1.83 then the most recent version of Play Store should do it, but not sure which 0xx to install for GT-P7500.
Any ideas? Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey guys, I want to enable Google Assistant on my RN3 on Marshmallow rom but I cannot get it to work. I've already tried the Xposed module "Assistant Enabler" but all I get is the original Google Now . I installed the latest Google App and that didn't work either. Any help would be appreciated.
I had no trouble enabling Google assistant...it's working perfectly fine ..just to make sure ..check if you have the latest version of Google and assistant enabler installed and then reboot..then go to the assistant enabler module and enable it (if it's not already enabled)..long press on home button and you'll have Google assistant enabled..hope I helped

Thanks to xda members @Jovic77:victory: and @Nikhilkumar038:victory: who found the solution on this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-assistant-launcher-google-t3614804
Here is what I did
1. Downgraded my Google app to version 7.1.28.16. ( I had version 7.20.16.21 Beta which gives me an error device not supported, any version above 7.3.xx will give you that error)
To achieve this I had to uninstall Google App (Uninstall updates to the factory version). Install Google App 7.1.28.16.
2. Clear Google App data
3. Clear Play services data
4. Restart Phone ( I think this is important)
5. Open Google Assistant launcher and follow similar steps as described on the post (Adding reminder and the rest)
This worked for me on:
Infinix Hot x510 (Hot 2)
1GB RAM
AndroidOne 6.0 Marshmallow
No root
Google App 7.1.28.16.
Play services 11.9.75 Beta
Google Assistant Launcher 1.0.4
Please say thanks to @Jovic77 and @Nikhilkumar038, I do not deserve any credits.

Hi! Thank you for sharing! I've been trying to do this since a couple of days, and now I'm using Google assistant!
Help me it doesn't work
I can't install Google App... It says the package may be damaged
How can I get Google Assistant?
I have a Majestic Tab 611 with 1 GB RAM, and neither the Google Assistant App and the Google settings "Google Assistant" are allowed for my device
Sorry if I made any grammar error... I'm not English!

In pixel experience rom the Google assistant is pre-installed if not try the latest build or install Google beta apk and Google play service beta then install Google assistant app from play store that's it:good:
Cheers!!
Assistant on Pixel Experience
I am also facing the same problem. But I flashed stock Gapps. I guess flashing stock Gapps is the reason.
Guys?
Any updates?
The assistant is there, but can't be activated with long pressing home button for some reason
I have Acer A500 with Android 4.0.3
I'm trying to install apk Youtube 11.01.70
Youtube won't run without Google Pay services
Google Play services is not present
I try to install apk Google Play services 14.3.69. When I try to install it, it tells me there is a problem parsing the package
Any more ideas?
Because you're using an outdated version of Android.
So it's not possible at all? I thought for an old version of Android I just had to find the right old version of the apps (apk) and installed them.

Even if you did that, it'll ask you to update your apps.
And you can't manually just add all the apps you need? (like Google Play Services in my case)
I find it surprising that this old Android cannot go back to the state it was 10 years ago, if I can get the same software (apk)
In general, the problem parsing the package means that your system software is too old to install that apk file.
Can't you upgrade your Acer A500 system software via OTA at first?
On the other hand, does your mobile phone system really have no built-in Google service framework?

Thanks for the idea. I have never done something like that. Where can I find a OTA image for A500? If you have any instructions for installation it would be also appreciated
Thanks for all the answers. To clarify:
I had Google Services Framework 4.0.4-278776
I just installed Google Play Services 8.1.04 (2215451-036) (036) (successfully, as per indications in this post)
I had install Youtube 11.01.70
When I try to run Youtube tells me that there is a newer version and doesn't go further.
This tablet won't run anything past android 4.0.3, at least without some hacks. With hacks this will run with android 5.1, thus allowing the installation of YouTube.
