In pixel experience rom the Google assistant is pre-installed if not try the latest build or install Google beta apk and Google play service beta then install Google assistant app from play store that's it:good:
Cheers!!

Assistant on Pixel Experience
I am also facing the same problem. But I flashed stock Gapps. I guess flashing stock Gapps is the reason.

Guys?
Any updates?

The assistant is there, but can't be activated with long pressing home button for some reason

Google Assistant on Redmi Note 3 Pro?

Hey guys, I want to enable Google Assistant on my RN3 on Marshmallow rom but I cannot get it to work. I've already tried the Xposed module "Assistant Enabler" but all I get is the original Google Now . I installed the latest Google App and that didn't work either. Any help would be appreciated.
I had no trouble enabling Google assistant...it's working perfectly fine ..just to make sure ..check if you have the latest version of Google and assistant enabler installed and then reboot..then go to the assistant enabler module and enable it (if it's not already enabled)..long press on home button and you'll have Google assistant enabled..hope I helped

Google Assistant

Anyone have working google assistant on OPX?teach me pls
What version of android are you on?
If Nougat, "Get Assistant" app in play store is the easiest one to, well, get assistant.
If Marshmallow, Xposed + Android N-ify preview builds + the right version of Google App is your answer.

Heyyo, stock Gapps is NOT recommended on Oreo ROMs. MindTheGapps or OpenGapps pico or nano are the only recommended ones which is probably why camera app is crashing. OpenGapps is only of beta quality thus I only recommended pico or nano and I'd still recommend MindTheGapps over it as it is built with LineageOS compatibility in mind.
As for pixel launcher? Sorry I'm unsure if you can disable it unless you download a custom pixel launcher.

As I like Pixel Launcher, afrer recent Google app update, it even includes Google search bar on app drawer, which is pretty annoying.
If you don't want it, you need to use other launcher

missing features from android pie on LG V30

Hi everyone,
Recently LG released android pie for the V30. I'm having 2 issues with it:
1- the digital wellbeing dashboard is missing and google play says its incompatible with my device. thats the big feature of Pie and its missing.
2- ARCore wont update . i can use google play normally for everything else, but ARCore refuses to update, i keep getting the error df-dferh-01. i've tried all suggestions i found on google.
any help would be appreciated.
EDIT - i found out wellbeing is only available to Android One and pixel phones.
also i fixed the ARCore issue by installing the APK manually.

Google services now in rom

My latest version of the Ota update to miui 12.5 has the options for installing Google services officially now and you can also remove most factory apps as well. So happy to be able to use this beast
Does that mean the official china Rom only needs to install Playstore and everything works? Can you pls check if Google chrome is showing up on play store?
