Hi, i tried to flash CyanogenMod 14.1 official latest nightly (yes i flashed firmware and gapps), but i think something i did something wrong and i bricked my device, because now i can't even turn it on, when i try to do it it doesn't happen anything, just black screen and red led, it just shows for a frame the MI logo, then it turns off.
What can i do?

Your bootloader is locked. Unlock it by miunlock tool.

Yes, so how you flash cm14.1? Without unlock trick? Flash fastboot rom via edl method but your internal storage will wipe and you lose your data.

This is an unbrick tutorial if you need it.It's very reliable, and I think it should work for you.
If it doesn't, try searching for tutorials for a deep flash cable. kinda like the usb jig for samsung devices.
Force edl with fix in miui forum then flash miui fastboot rom. Unlock start again.

I had a similar issue couple days ago when flashing another MIUI rom. The phone wouldn't turn on or enter fastboot mode. When I plug into the computer, it would detect something is plugged in with that windows sound and the phone's LED light flashes RED. At this state, I think phone is in EDL mode but MiFlash doesn't detect anything. When I check my Device Manager, the COM Port would show my device as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E.
If you're getting Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E in Device Manager, you are in Diagnostics mode, basically a brick. You can try following this link (http) en.miui. com/thread-274589-1-1.html to fix it.
I unbricked my device, I flashed miui 7.1.8.0 fastboot rom, unlocked the bootloader and then i flash cm 14.1 without any problem.

I just received my redmi note 3 SD, with globale stable rom...
I wanted to install CM13.
So first, i wanted to install global dev rom to unlock bootloader.
I tried with updater but i have an error.
I tried with fastboot global dev rom and miflash with the tuto but i have always error.
I tried different version of rom and miflash and now my phone is on black screen. I haven't any acces to fastboot mod with start button+volum - or +.... I have only red light and black screen and when i connect phone to pc i see that: Qualcomm HS USB Diagnostics 900E (com10).
Can you help me to unbrick please?
first: u dont unlock the bootloader by flashing global dev rom ... u unlock the bootloader by either request official unlock and using the official xiaomi unlock tool or use the inoffiial method.
is the red light flashing? maybe youre in EDL mode? then u can flash the whole rom

you don't have to be on global dev rom to unlock bootloader, i unlocked mine officially on global stable rom
I have opened the back panel, disassemble motherboard and push the 2 pins... After, my device was detected as Qualcomm 2008 and not 900E and it was detected into miflash old version...
I tried to flash the last fastboot globale stable rom but i had an error " max buffer sector is 256"... And my phone came back to Qualcomm 900E in the windows 10 settings... And it's now not detected by miflash... I need to unmount again and touch the 2 pins on motherboard...
After what i can do to flash a rom correctly?? I don't understand why i have always an error...
Use newest version miflash on windows 10. Make sure it's plugged into USB 2.0 port.

Problem solved... I disassemble a second time the phone, i pushed the 2 pins on the motherboard.

At the middle of the tuto, i don't understand why but my phone turn on with logo "Mi" at boot!!! And the phone boot correctly...
On my PC, I have unistalled all programs and reinstalled all,.. After, i have installed ROM Global dev>Unlock BL> Install TWRP>Install CM13>Install Gapps... And now the phone works fine!!!

I´m trying this mithod to solve the problem (already tried lots of methods without sucess) and in the step when to connect to pc and try to set adb, imediatly after conect to usb on pc the phone boots and keeps bootlooping after "MI mi.com" white symbol. Any ideas guys? Dont know anything more to do.... please help

Follow this tutorial, make a deep flash cable as shown. This will work on RN4 SD version only. I am the one who got bootloop on RN4 SD first time and i made the new cable and did everything well.

Even I had this problem. However I fixed this. Try these steps
1.Press power button and volume+ button till you see Phone and USB cable picture.
2.Install lastest version of Chinese Mi Pcsuite (Don't use English version as it has some issues detecting your phone).
3. Now connect your phone to pc via usb cable
4. A popup menu will appear in Chinese. Select the second option which is factory reset.
5. After that the phone reboots and everything will work fine. However you will lose user data.

enter fastboot mode
type fastboot oem edl to enter edl mode
use the mi flashing tool (not the flash unlock one) to flash the fastboot rom :good:
hi i was trying to update the framwork yesterday throw twrp evrything was going fine suddendly phone stopped and red light blinking started i searched for the solutions and some ever it was said remove the backpanel and disconnect the battery and reconnec the charger it will take u to fastboot but after doing this iam unable to get anything now the red blinking have also been stopped iam not getting what to do now can any1 help me out

That command does not work anymore. Tried it, it says it rebooted it but the phone itself doesn't do anything but stay in fastboot mode
Hi all I'm new to this forum. I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3(SD) for about two years. I had rooted the device by official method and was using Lineage OS 14.1 almost 1.5 years . Yesterday I went through a xda thread which saying miui rom for rooted Redmi Note 3. I flashed that ROM and after that my device is not staring. When I'm powering the device it is vibrating and showing mi logo and then turning off. I'm not able to go to TWRP by volume up and power key as it is shutting down after switch on. But I'm able to go fastboot mode by volume down and power key combo. And also the notification led is blinking red when I'm charging the device. I've tried to flash TWRP recovery via fastboot but it's saying "failed remote device is locked" Tried to flash miui fastboot ROM via Miflash tool but it also failing with same remote device locked statement.
Now my question is that does my device got bricked? Will I be able to bring it back to working state? Anyone please help :crying:

Your device's bootloader got locked as a result of flashing MIUI. Just unlock it again using official Mi Unlock tool and flash TWRP.

Thanks for replying. But when I'm trying to flashing using MIflash tool it's saying remote device locked. And MI tool is also not recognising the device as USB debugging is not turned on. What to do next?

Miflash won't work with fastboot mode if your device's bootloader is locked. You'll have to go to EDL mode and then flash using Miflash.

Sometimes the emmc.appsboot file in MIUI ROMs messes up this way. I always remove that file from the ROM zip before flashing just to be on the safer side, while flashing MIUI ROMs through TWRP. And, always make sure USB debugging is turned ON, as it helps during such situations.
any solution to this? mine shut off after showing mi.com logo.. flashing in edl mode with official rom still the same.. please help

I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and when I using him, hes gone. Nothing work, no fastboot, no twrp, only Red led when i charge battery.
And i want to flash miui global in MiFlash and... I have error PING TARGET VIA FIREHOSE.
Guys please help me, I tried in 6 miui globals, china, any MiFlash version(Beta,2014,2015,2016) and dont work

i experienced same issue before and nobody in XDA cant fix this (or wont bother to reply,, idk)
try test point method. if it doesn't work, i'm afraid that you have broken hardware. you have to replace it

Charge it overnight
Hold the power button 20-30 seconds the next day
Boot the device in fast boot mode by holding volume down+power button. Then go to MiFlash and flash fastboot redmi note 4 rom in edl mode(Unlock bootloader by running the last script file and then proceed to do the following steps). Download stock fastboot rom for redmi note 4 from official mi website(Note: The stock fastboot rom is different from stock recovery rom). While flashing the rom, below you have the option to choose three modes, click clean all and lock. Flash this rom and you're device will be working in no time. Make sure your device has adequate battery
Since i was recieving less SOT (4-3 hours on light usage) on my mido even after flashing the stock rom (xiaomi.eu rom), i decided to replace the battery at an authorised mi service centre. They said they wont accept unlocked mi devices. So i decided to relock the bootloader. Heres what i did, (im using orange fox recovery)
1 . wiped system, data, cache, dalvik cache
2. formatted internal storage
3.flashed stock rom (from the official site stable version)
4.flashed the lazyflasher zip
then after finishing the initial setup of rom, i went to recovery and flashed the stock recovery.
then in fastboot mode I ran the script " fastboot oem lock" to lock the bootloader. But after rebooting, mi logo blinks for a second or two and shows a black screen.
I checked the bootloader status and it says locked (device unlocked : false). I tried the testpoint method and the DFC method but pc dont detect my device and i cant find the qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 in device manager. No matter how hard i try i cant get my pc to detect my phone in both the methods. Also when i try to get into edl mode (by shotting the first and 4th contact points located above the battery) i can hear windows 10 sound of detecting a device but nothing appears in the device manager. Im sure i have all the drivers installed and i really dont know what im doing wrong here. Is there any other way to unbrick my device?
Try detect your phone by using latest mi flasher. (Download and install it first). If your device's blink red, i sign if it in EDL mode. I dont know what happen to your device actually, because i never try to relock my mi phones using ''fastboot oem lock". I use mi flasher to relock my phone by clicking ''flash and relock" on Mi flasher. Try mi flash first, then comment here again if it fails.
aah i didnt know testpoint method requires battery plugged in, silly me. This time pc detected my phone (testpoint) and as per your suggestion i tried miflasher and it worked (yaay). thanks for helping me out here...
didnt xiaomi removed edl mode from RN4 due to security reasons??
