hey guys plz help me in enabling google assist in official cm14.1 i tried to install enable assist app from playstore and installed and this app changed the buid prop but doesnt worked..

Hello,
Download the latest Google app. Use the 'Get Assistant' app.[Available in Playstore]. Enable root access, then click continue with the prompting windows.
It will automatically changes the 'build.prop' content as Pixel model. Then the app will ask you to clear the Google app data. Clear the cache and search history. Then reboot the device. This one should work. If the problem persists, check the system language and make it as English. Because Google assistant currently supports English and German.
Also make sure that you have enabled permissions such as Storage, Microphone etc... for the Google app.

If your device is rooted -- wipe cache, fix permissions, reboot.
Tried clearing data - still same problem.

This might be another solution.
Go to Settings>Language & keyboard>Select language>English (US).
Language is set to English (US) already....
update your device
You could try to install an apk of the older android market, not sure if it will install over google play. If not, best option might be to factory reset phone

Go to HERE download, and install the latest Google Play 3.4.7 APK ( Formally the Android Market ) . That should fix it.

I had version 3.4.4 and it still wasn't working, I doubt a reset will fix anything.

It is worth mentioning that android market never came pre-installed on my tablet. I really want to get it to work though !!! Please someone !?

You may, or may not have to set permissions. But you can give it a try. Unistall, then reinstall the latest Google Play. Then using a Root Explorer, navigate to the apk. Long press on the Google Play apk. A pop up should come up, choose permissions. Make sure they're all checked. Then back out of it, and reboot. That might get it to work.

Which apk are you referring to ? The one I used to install ? Surely this file doesn't make a difference after installing ? Or do you mean the app under app manager ?

I checked the permissions under detail in app manager and it shows that everything is ticked except for a few items that have a grey circle under "show all" tab. Can't seem to change anything though.

Have you tried installing a much older version? Like a few versions before it changed to Google Play.

Do you have Rom Manager? If you do open it and do Fix Permissions. Also what device do you have?

i have a galaxy s3 us cellular and i was able to flash the rom on but i couldnt get the gapps to flash it says it was successful then when i reboot it says( setup wizard stop working ) what am i doing wrong ?
Check for the android version and the respestive gapps

Ya sometimes it may happen. Either download the gapps suggested by the developer or check the version of android rom and the download the respective gapp. It will solve the issue. Or just post the reply. I will guide u.

An easy way to get it back is to find a Google Apps package that has the AOSP messaging app and then extract the apk from the .zip file and manually install it or to install SMS Messaging from the Play Store which is the AOSP messaging app.

i have problem with google play services ... i'm running now cm10.1 but i want to install google play services on it to sync some data but after install it always crashes and while installing google+ phone always restart .
note : if i can't install google play services is there and way to take all app data from phone ?
last thing : i want to know where are we reached in making cm rom ?
small request can you tell us the some information help in making rom for galaxy star ?

The cm is as how psych left it
U need the gapps package(u hv to search really hard to find the right one) for google apps
Ull always have problem if u install any google app if the google frameworks etc. arent installed

hello there i want to install incampaitable apps from playstore like gaana,times of india etc
so please tell me a way to install apps from playstore
what i done:
1)i used market helper but force stopped after selecting device i.e not worked for me
2)i edit build.prop and emulate to galaxy s5,galaxy s2(with finger print) and after clearing playstores data its still incampaitable but my device is succesfuuly emulated
so give me a way to do

thanks i downloanded and use playstorefix but its still shows incampaitable apps on playstore and in module default dpi is 240 given i tried but not work so i changed to 140dpi but stilll not work any other way to do?

thanks but i have latest market helper 2.0 beta but its unfortunately stopped after doing magical stuff and how to install modded playstore?
is there any way to do by build.prop or any other app
my build.prop info>>everything same as other but android version is 5.0.

Moded playstore is for license verification hack it ddnt work for me and market helper is nt working in latest firmwares jst force close. Bt playstore fix shld wrk. clear data in playstore and Google play services. in playstore fix mark that two options & set dpi to 240 thn reboot I hop dat'll wrk

No idea what you mean. Maybe you should try a site in your native language

I couldnt remove authorization permissons for many system/pre-installed apps to stop from auto-start and further work even on a rooted device..

Some apk needs default authorizations permissions, so it is locked by default root doesn't matter in this case
if you want to modify those... you need to decompile that apk and modify the permissions as you like and again recompile it, install again
if you modify wrongly some of the applications may not work, it may require those permissions
very difficult to find required permissions unless you are the developer or well known about those applications

No-no - based on your feedback you didn't even get the problem:
the authorization in this case is not a "normal" app permission:
in MIUI this setting gives authorisation for some system apps (like MSA that is known to collect data about you for Xiaomi personalised ads, but even the MIUI Security app) to collect data about me and my online behavior and this gives these system apps authorization to also send these data to Xiaomi to China for further processing.
This is what we cannot disable now - and we were able to switch them off couple of months ago for sure, but not now!

That's the other thing.. I thought one will ask.. but according to my experiments in the last couple of days it does not matter if:
- it's the latest official Xiaomi Global ROM, stable or developer
- it's the latest Xiaomi.EU ROM (based on chinese ROMs), stable or developer
- it's any kind of custom MIUI ROM derived from the 4 kind of ROMs above.. does not work running Mi-Globe, MIUI.AM, MIUIPro, EPIC..
- it's rooted or not (tried Magisk, phh and yes, I tried with SuperSU as well: yes, I had spare time and I am desperately trying to find the cause and the solution)
- it's logged in to my Mi account or not
- if it's logged in to my Mi account then it's set up to sync to Mi account everything or not
- and I literally tried every combination of the above listed elements, really.. (well.. not sure if I logged in to my Mi account on MIUIPro.. but IDC by now, hope you understand why tho).
So, every time I go to Settings -> Additional settings -> Authorization and revocation -> try to disable (revoke) any of the listed apps' authorization -> wait until the end of the 10sec countdown -> tap OK -> each and every time it returns the same error message: "Couldn't revoke authorization"
So.. with all due respect, everybody: ..now what?!
