Use for aging smartwatch. - LG G Watch

Hi, I had an idea to convert my GWatch into a smart button for smarthome devices, how difficult would this be. It would be nice to display a shortcut at all times instead of a watchface, is this possible?

Yes, use wearable widgets and set it as your watch face, this will allow you to use any of your widgets as a watch face

Facer WatchFaces

This topic is for the watchfaces developed for the facer app.. Though there is already a repo but many of them aren't optimized or out of shape when installed on GW..to start with I have added few faces..
#download on post4 (both versions)#
Do you have this available for download?
Pretty easy to resize things
Here you go..!!
renames the extension from .face to .zip
To use this you need to rename it back to .face and use it.
cool faces, I hope to contribute to this thread when I get mine.

On phone
one more watch face
Black with hard font
day&night
This face will change the background based on the time of the day.
Till 6pm thr background will be white and at night it changes to black.
The font colors are chosen to have good contrast on both backgrounds.

No Daydream to Clock?

Is there really no Daydream to Clock option? This has always been a needed feature for me when I plug in my phone at night I use it as my alarm clock.
I know I can install clock apps that kind of do this but you have to fumble around and relaunch the clock app. Such a huge disappointment this simple feature is missing. Might return phone.
Timely v#1.2.4 - 1.2.10 integrates seamlessly

I don't know with the KIW-24 version, but I have it on my stock KIW-21.
If you tap once on the clock widget you have different options such as Alarm clock, chronometer, timer, etc...

Well this is all a moot point because I've dumped EMUI and am using crpalmer's brilliant CM13 ROM for this phone, which has the daydream feature stock like Google made it.
But I was talking about setting Daydreaming to the clock app. Not using the clock widget. If you set your phone to Daydream and go to Daydream settings, the only option is pictures. You should be able to Daydream to the clock app.
Anyways, thanks for your responses but I'm off EMUI now.

Ambient display functionality.

Which app do you use to view the notifications and time at a glance without turning on the whole screen. Comment the name of the app and if possible attach the apk file and let's see which app performs the best.

Always on AMOLED is nice app that u can find it in the play store..go pro to tweak around settings..The problem is that since honor 6x is an ips lcd panel..the battery consumption will be higher than in the AMOLED panel

Or cm locker may be not for time but for notifications.
Have you tried CM Locker?
I do use always on AMOLED. It's neat and can be used. Also has a good collection of clocks.

Not one but there are many such apps which can do this. Like ac display, glance notification and all.
But the best one is AOD. Yet I want If someone can port the Moto display app and make it function able in my phone. I'll be happy and thankful. ?

Discussion for BoredSigns — Custom SignBoard Widgets

Ever wish that LG had given the V10/V20 more widgets in the second screen? Well, wish no more! BoredSigns adds many more widgets to your SignBoard (get it? SignBoard --> BoredSigns?), ones you may need and ones you may not.
The best part about BoredSigns? It doesn't need root! That's right; you can get some brand new widgets on your completely Stock V10 or V20. In the future, ADB may be necessary for certain widgets, but right now, you don't need your computer at all.
Current widgets:
— Information
— Weather
— Image
— Navigation Bar
This app is open source! If you aren't willing to pay $0.99 to buy it, feel free to build it for yourself. I only ask that it not be re-distributed without substantial modifications (i.e. more than changing the theme and name).

I have to see if Yahoo will let me ask for future times with the API. If it does, I can make another widget.

I bought it in the play store (I want to support any development for the 2nd screen).
I have to thank you just for the simple fact that at first, I didn't know how to run it... so I went into the 2nd screen options. I had no idea that I had other widgets that I could run. I never thought to tap the "..." on "Show when main screen on" so I have been stuck with the basic options this whole time. Worth my $1.05 right there.
So, after using it for a few minutes, I noticed the persistent notification for BoredSigns, so I long-pressed it and turned off all notifications. Will this negatively affect the operation of the app? I did notice that when I swiped my notification shade down, or when switching between widgets, the 2nd screen options would come on, so I restarted the phone. It doesn't seem to be doing that anymore, but I did have to toggle weather on and off a few times to get a real location and not 100*F in Philadelphia.
Bonus question... where can I find out more about the "yet unreleased AOSP implementation of the 2nd screen?"
Found the perfect image for the second screen a mod one of the best football team in the world...perfect fit and color !
Happy user here....thank you again for this :highfive:
So someone suggested I do a navigation bar widget. After lots of Java reflection (the actual tool, not thinking about my life with Java), I went with a simple Accessibility Service.
Because of that, these functions will be available:
- Back
- Home
- Recents
- Split Screen
- Power
- QS Pulldown
- Notification Pulldown
If there are any other (simple) buttons you might want, suggest them. I'll add them in if I can.
Here's what it looks like right now:

Open app using both screens every time?

Outlook on the Duo is sweet but how can I tell it that I want it to use both screens every time I launch it? I hope this is a feature they add with a future update.

That would be a nice addition to add to an app by app basis, "span when opened"

100% agree. Love having the two screens and being able to span apps. Would be great if we could hold on an app, scroll past the 'remove' 'groups' and be able to hit 'span' or something to set it as a default spanned app.
