[Q] Facebook Weird Bug

i just bought a S3 from UK (BTU) yesterday, and today in the morning i updated it via Kies to 4.1.1 DLJ4, everything seems fine exept facebook, coz in wifi it works perfect, but on Data Plan, it changes its UI completely, shows as a slower version of facebook, and shows like it cant load fine the pages of facebook apps, anyone have the same problem? is it a app bug i dont know about? is it about facebook dont support full jelly bean yet? (i dont want to know its a phone bug coz i just bought it yesterday) anyone have the same problem? help :C
Never seen that before. Try clearing app data if that doesn't work uninstall Facebook and re install.

Yeah. That's why Mark Zuckerberg has supposedly forced his engineers to start using Android phone and ditch iPhones. Just so they can see for themselves the failure Facebook is on Android.

I prefer the official one.
UPDATE: The app has been updated 8 June , so i re-downloaded it and tested but once again the problem hasn't been fixed. Thought my sis doesn't have any similar issues on her Xperia Tipo. What could possibly cause the issue on my SGS2?
And again... New version has been released (21 June) but the problem still remains. Is there something wrong with my ROM or what? I doubt so. Any ideas for a possible fix? I refuse to use alternative app - i'd rather not use Facebook mobile at all.

A couple of days ago ive noticed that the font in my facebook time line was absurdly big at the time i thought i might have been the Rom CM11 with the pi Theme but when i switched back to stock the font remaind even after i reinstald the app .... anyone knows how to fix this ?

Are you running a dev/beta version of facebook? My brother experienced the same issue on his Nexus 5... he's put it down to running a dev version of facebook.
Yea I had it too, it's the dev version on Facebook. Fixed on latest update.

tesla unread doesn't work for facebook

i use nova launcher and tesla unread doesn't work for facebook and messenger. what is the problem?
It's an issue in the latest versions in the fb app itself.... I have this problem as well...
One solution is to download older fb versions (v.34 I think was the last working version for me). Not sure about messenger though as I don't use it...

I honestly have no idea....
I'll just keep updating and cross my fingers that it will be fixed eventually xD
I'm on Facebook 62 & TeslaUnread hasn't worked in ages. You would think they would have updated it by now. Little disappointing consider they aren't some crappy company.

Same here.. Other apps working good without problem.
The issue is with FB cappy app. Google removed the stock code for dealing with them. It hasn't been a major issue as most people outside of kids and old folks have moved off fb or only use it to troll people
Facebook is actually fixed in the new beta. I'm sure some other apps as well, but the ones I have set up didn't have any issues before the update, so I'm not sure what else was fixed.

Finder crashes when Facebook is installed.

Hi All,
I have a Tmobile Note 8 with the stock rom and installed all updates. When I search in the App Drawer for "F" the Finder App crashes. It seems Facebook is the cause of this issue. Immediately when I uninstall it, i'm able to pull up results that contain F. Searching for other characters that is contained in Facebook also crashes the app.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. This also occurs on my Wife's Note 8.
The Facebook version I have installed is from the Play Store version 157.0.0.38.97. The Finder App version is 7.1.19. Android Version is at 7.1.1.

Tried and it does happen. I sent log to Samsung. Chances are like with some apps it does things to phones. Like words with friends breaking Pixel 2 song detection.

Thanks for confirming. I also sent the issue to Samsung. Hopefully Facebook/Samsung fixes it soon. I have a few apps beginning with F and looking for it with 50+ apps installed is frustrating.
I have the same problem, when I to disabled Facebook, it goes to the factory version k and the f search works again, but once I re-enable Facebook and try to use it , it ask to update if you want to use the app, which I did and again the problem is back !!!! buy the way it is the same with the K searsh which is resolved at the same time that I disable Facebook. I thought at the beginning that the problem was from Kik app.
Anybody had news from Facebook/Samsung regarding this issue ?
not only when I search item start with word (f) it's also happen with (k) and (b)

I think it happens with any thing the brings up facebook on the first list of apps. Seems like it has something to do with the Facebook icon.
If you for example use A and then on the application section hit view more as soon as you hit where Facebook would be it crashes.

Phew, I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Albeit, for reference, I'm using a European S8, and the same problem exists here. Tidbits, did Samsung acknowledge the issue? Can WE report the issue in any way?
