Move to SD - OnePlus X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have cdroid nougat in my OPX.
Main "problem" is to use the micro SD to transfer obb files there, but the system doesn't allow it. In Marshmallow I had the "GL to SD" to do my work, but in Nougat doesn't work.
Does anyone knows any program to use for that?

New folders and strange SD card name in Android 6 marshmallow

After upgrading my micromax canvas a1 (AQ4501) to android 6.0 marshmallow, my sd card now has 2 folders "2FD4-1BE9" (having all my files and folders) and "self" (empty). Before upgrading, all my files and folders were just in one "sd card" folder. Most of my apps are installed/moved to sd card. Is it possible and safe for me to move all my files and folders from "2FD4-1BE9" folder to the root sd card, outside of these two folders and then delete these folders "2FD4-1BE9" and "self" ? Also, sometimes my sd card name (sd card) shows strange characters, like "M-[[email protected]\M-1M-(aM-$%". Why is that ?
i miss the /storage/sdcard1
any way to use this mount point instead of /storage/1234-5678 ?
Hi, I've got similar problem. I upgraded my Note 2 to CM13 based on Android Marshmallow and now my sd card has strange name which displays as "M4-%63-aW-^b6" or something like that. Is there a way to change sd card name? Mount point is "A456-B15" or something so label of SD could be different than that long weird name I suppose. Thanks in advance for help.
This has made switching SD Cards annoying. Spotify, for example can't see its own storage when moved to a new card because the mount name changes. So i am forced to refresh the app and download everything again. Marshmallow also changed how USB drives are mounted, which is causing me issues.
Please help! I have this exact problem on my new Galaxy S7!
This is not something android is doing as with aosp it is not this way. It is the oem or rom maker doing this.
Hi!
Same problem here. Did you have a solution ?
Tks
I had this problem. It's gone (hopefully) since I formatted ma SD

Marshmallow SD Card

Has anyone had success writing to the external sd card in portable mode under marshmallow? Not being able to is the one thing keeping me from moving to a marshmallow ROM.
On RR 6.0.1 I have no problems in moving any thing to the SD card.

Interesting. Which format option did you use for the SD card?
Titanium backup pro won't backup to SD card set as portable. It works fine if I set the default backup folder to the internal drive. Running resurrection remix 5.6.0.

I can transfer files to and from my external running CM13. I've used Titanium backup, riot browser and TWRP file manager.

make your external sd as your internal

CHANGE YOUR YOUR SD CARD MEMORY AS YOUR INTERNAL SD
YOU NEED THE FOLLOWING DONE
Your device must be rooted
install xposed apk from this link: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/de...v33_36570c.apk
install the xposed framework and perform a reboot
now you can see that xposed is installed
now go to downloads in the xposed installer app and search for xinternal sd,
download that and install it, after installing activate that module by checking it in the modules bar
perform a reboot
now install es file explorer and open it
now you can see that at first it will sdcard 01 which is your sd card
now go inside and check your android folder you will see all the obb and game data files in your sd.
HURRAY!!!!!
you now have all your apps installed in your sd.
note: if you go into a bootloop after flashing the xposed zip (find the zip according to your android version in the xposed forum, ex: you have to flash sdk-21 for android 5.0.2) you have to flash the xposed uninstaller zip in the recovery.
any queries can be asked freely.
THANKS

Please make sure that this works only when you have xposed framework installed in your device.
this module changes your path of internal sd to the external sd card .
so now on your external sd card will be very handy to you. all your downloads and apps will save data in internal but the path for your internal storage is your external storage and vice versa.
sorry for late reply.
HIT THE THANKS IF THIS HELPED YOU:good:
When I had Redmi 2 1/8 GB I tried this app.
But there was a limitation, I dont know if it wont move the APK or de DATA
The final solution was to use app2sd (full version). You have to buy the app (cheap) and make a ex4 partition at the SDcard.

Mainly apps and their data consume your phone's internal storage.....ad using this module you can save your internal as we all know that MIUI doesnt have Move to SD feature ...so this is very helpful
If this doesn't work out is always good if you use link2sd .
But make sure you don't mess up with your partitions.
nice

how to put data to ext after upgraded to 6? (solved)

i try to use folder mount after rooted my marshmallow, but the result was error. then i found with file manager hd that after upgrade to marshmallow, while i open sd card, it showing 2 folder, "storage>9c33-6bbd". what it is mean?
is there other way to enable data put to sd card? pls help
edit:
problem solved. just need to instal busybox and remount the folder mount.
to copy file from internal use file manager hd, setting enable root and change system
similar this problem
Samsung Note 4 just updated to Android 6.0.1.
My SD card used to be /storage/extSdCard, but after the update, is /storage/9C33-6BBD, breaking all internal app links that use the name.
Marshmallow renamed SD card. But now I can't guide the app to the external storage without root.
Set Oruxmaps to the new offline maps path. It appears "Error, Oruxmaps can't write in this directory".
So, no offline maps... I have to move them to internal storage... but there's not enough space.
Anyone else see this?
