Hello guys i need your help...
The display of my Redmi note 3 Pro is broken, so i bought a new Display and replaced it with the old one.
But now my phone is stuck at the first android logo.
When i leave the digitizer disconnected and only connect the LCD it boots!
When i connect the Digitizer from the broken display and the LCD of the new one, it boots too!
But when connect both digitizer and LCD of the new one, stuck at android logo again!
At first i thought the digitizer is broken, so i sent the new display back and ordered a second (new) one from different trader, but same behavior.
What is the problem?!
Please help
Try reflashing the entire rom via edl, after connecting the new display.
okay great, it works now.
but now on every boot my phone is stuck at mi logo for about 2 minutes until it boots and i cannot access recovery.
any ideas?
How did you get the Screen of the phone?!
On mine it's stucking to the phone!

you have to heat up the display with a hairdryer or something because the display is attached with glue. then you have to get between the display and the frame of the phone with your nails or a thin plastic.
suction cup also possible see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjHMp9ayjak @ min 6:20

So dropped phone and screen went out. Replaced amoled and digitizer, device powered on and lit up home keys, but no display still. Replaced main board, in case video was out on board, but no joy. Any thoughts? No custom software or anything....
Maybe you didn't clip on the ribbon cables all the way. Or, just try pulling the battery and booting it again.
When I replace my screen, screen didn't work for first few boots.

I checked and checked, digitizer works, I can reboot and swipe unlock, adjust volume, but no screen. At this point I'm thinking bad LCD. Thoughts?
Thx for response and ideas though....
I bought a replacement but ut was a cheap fake, not an OEM screen. It went purple then black within 10 minutes. I got my money back (thank you PayPal) and made sure the next one was an OEM screen.
I hope you didn't spend too much on the repair parts. You can pick up a new Note for about $290 now.

I think your screen digitizer or lcd is not connected correctly to connecter of display so check that or your lcd has problem..there is no problem of software..just check your display is connected right or your display has peoblem..

most likely hardware not soft
IF YOU BREAK IT SORRY BUT YOU CAN TRY
open up again clean sockets inspect phone for visual damage (near screws edges etc.) to the board
connect screen to board outside of case so you have access to screen socket plug in the charger and gently touch the ribbon/socket when on if no changes try gently bending the board (very gently you do not want to make something loose or even worse snap the thing) see if any effect on display post any findings
|PS its easy to buy faulty screen as they are not transported the way they should be try to replace
Thanks, ill try all advices i hope i can do something with it, cuz she has a few things on it, that she will like to preserve.. and u know.. if she dont get it, will be my fault.. haha Thank so much ! hehe
Hello. Today I get SGS3 from my aunt. SGS3 fell on floor. At first there was some white lines, then half of screen became blue, then the LCD shut down. It isn't working now.
I have a question. Could anything else be broken? I opened phone and i see, that there isn't nothing that could "destroy" LCD.
P.S. Phone boot up, I hear the sound, no view on screen.
You won't know until you replace the screen assembly, probably easier to buy a new phone.

Still, phone would boot if there is broken GPU?
I notice there are stuck pixels on my reno 4,is that normal?do you have stuck pixel ?and anybody knows how to fix it?
i have notice but i see them only when booting my phone there are many .. But i dont see them when phone is booted everything is perfect so i dont think its problem
I think there is a percentage basis depending on the manufacturer but If you have anymore than 3 dead pixels I would be looking to have the panel replaced under warranty.

not really stucked pixels, you should try with maximum brightness, black screen to see when you phone boots up completely.

How about yours?
it happened to me lol. The MI bootlogo got stuck for 1 minute. It was like an amoled burn in but after that it went away.
HOW IT HAPPENED: I was installing a ROM and it took some time to boot at the MI logo (3 minit) and the MI logo got burned on the screen. After that I used the phone as usual and the burn in MI logo disappeared. I cant guarantee my problem is the same as yours tho.
When I bought my phone I checked it for like 5 minutes in the store to make sure that I don't have any dead/stuck pixels and only after I verified that I bought it.
Anyway I think they won't cover it under warranty unless it's more than 3 pixels but you should try anyway.
And by the way burn-in and stuck pixels are different and since this is an LCD display the burn in will go away after a few minutes but a stuck pixel can stay forever even if it's not a dead pixel.
It's a known problem with the Redmi Note 4. The panels are bad \ low quality.
A shame really, great phone other than that.
It seems the number of stuck pixels is increasing with time. I also didn't have even one stuck pixel when I got it, and I have around 20 after 1 month of use.
Yep. Have stuck pixel. When I got it, I checked it and did not have any. Over time two appeared. Since it's a low budget phone and low quality , i think it's normal. I usually buy a phone with quad hd screen to bypass this problem. Cause with quad screens, the dpi is so high that you won't noticed any dead or stuck ones. But oh well, you get what you pay for.
Has anyone replaced screen panel and fixed the problem?
bump, looking for a solution to this.
i got that too :crying:
because mido have 2 type lcd
i forgot the name
1 type is have a good quality
and 1 type have a normal quality
Hey guys, recently I had my Z2 sent to a service shop because it wasn't turning on or charging. The guy at the shop said that it was the battery fault and he changed it, but he also told me that the screen was not working( flickering, ghost touches, unable to work on it). So he put my old battery on and when I went home the phone actually turned on and booted up, but still I had the screen problem. So whenever I touch the screen it doesn't respond and it touches by itself. Tried putting it on rice for 20 hours, dried with a hairdryer and assembled dissamssebled the screen jacks, still the problems wasn't fix. Do I really need to change the whole LCD or is this a problem that can be fixed?

Yes, you have to change the screen, or more precisely, the digitializer.
But since the LCD and the digitialier come in one-piece, you have to change it as a whole, but at a much lower price, as your screen can be sold again and recycle the good LCD panel.

So replacing the LCD would fix the problem right? That's great then because I found an LCD with a very low price (20$), completely new on ebay and I sucessfuly dissassembled the old LCD out of the phone. I'm gonna buy it as soon as possible. Thanks man.
