Purchased. Beautiful work bro! Love the wallpaper too! That is usually the first thing I change after downloading a theme, but not this time.
Thanks for removing the divider lines in settings! I've been wanting this in a dark AOSP style theme since I got the phone in October! Theme looks really clean now. I never thought the v20 would get so much love from so many excellent themers. Thanks for your work.

If by system UI you mean the nav bar and status bar I'm guessing (I'm not sure on this) that those are things LG won't allow to be touched. I know the other themers have said there are a lot of things they can't touch because of the limits placed by LG. It would be awesome to have the pixel style nav bar and AOSP style status bar. Now that root is out for most devices hopefully some themes will come out for rooted phones that will theme those things.

And the LG calculator, too! Also, just change as many icons as possible. Maybe you can get permission to use one of the many free Pixel icon packs?

First off great theme with the pixel dark. Purchased and love it. I was wondering when you created your icon pack do you happen to have one with the stock browser icon. I change the chrome icon normally to resemble stock. Thanks again for supporting the V20 and g5

Yes, and the Account of a Friend of me was killed.
He made Payed apps, too.
But he dont share the links here. He only shows some Pics here in the XDA Forum.
He is very "happy" about this.

Theme eXPERIAnce Alien Gold
was interested in the Alien Gold theme and have no issues supporting your hard work. however once I downloaded this theme the only changes it made is for the wallpaper ( lock screen and Home screen ) and the Nav Bar.
in the play store description it specifies that this will work on non rooted LP...I'm on stock 5.02

Hello, sony has changed a lot of things in lollipop. Right now the things that change are the wallpapers and app drawer icons along with home icons and navigation keys. I'm working constantly on how to change more things in lollipop. If you want I can refund your money. Or you can wait for some days.

no worries about the refund , I forgot to mention on my original post that I deleted the app and got the auto refund . hopefully you will be able to work out all the small kinks so I will be able to get the full theme again. keep me posted

Hi, everyone. I've been searching for an answer for this unsuccessfully, so forgive me if someone else has asked and answered.
I have a stock rooted (bootloader unlocked) LGE Nexus 5X. I absolutely HATE the solid white icons in the status bar in Marshmallow. I miss the original full color icons from older versions of Android. I'm not a fan of the status bar changing colors with the apps either.
Is there a way to restore the ability of apps to display their original full (multi) color icons in the status bar? Third party replacement status bars, root access, Xposed modules, etc., are all acceptable solutions.

I was hoping someone else had already done this in a nice easy Xposed module. I can't be the only person who hates these solid white icons that strip all detail that makes them easily identifiable. I honestly thought this would be a common complaint about Marshmallow.
Are there themes that restore apps ability to display full color icons? If so, I don't know where to begin. I've never been interested in themes before.

You need a rom that supports themes. To be honest alot of people like the MD (Dont ask me why) Also as for xposed I cant say as most developers are not a fan of xposed and most custom roms dont offer support for it and advise not to use it.

KastorSoft Screenshot both manage to display full color icons in the status bar. I wonder what they are doing differently than everyone else. Look at the top of the screenshot attached.

Dont mention lucky patcher here. It is a nice way to be banned.
They are just not following googles guidelines. The stock icons are all white. All you have to do is rip open the the frameworks files to see. There is also a color overlay that google uses to turn all icons white if coded properly.

BTW, thanks for all the feedback on this.
If I want to tinker with this (modifying the frameworks, etc.), can you guide me as to where to begin? I do have old AOSP source on one of my VMs on my PC, and I can always use git to bring it up-to-date. For instance, the location of this overlay that turns all icons white would be a GREAT place for me to start. I have compiled AOSP before, so I'm not afraid to do it, but it may take me a while to get my build environment setup again.
No problem. Depending on the device and the rom you run depends on where it will be. Most of the icons are in the framework res and system ui but you will also have to find the color overlay on the xmls. Not really sure where as with LP and Mm I walked away from theming.
@zelendel do you know where in mm this code resides. making a custom rom and wanting to undo this "fix" that google has implemented.......
Hi! You are not alone. I would kill Google designer. This looks like a big unbelievable non-sense: good hardware, stable and well-featured software and such perverted and mutilated UI. If everyone forgot how human-oriented icons should look like, I will remind:
I HAVE A LEARNING DISABILITY and the all-white icons are driving me crazy. INEED THE COLORS BACK so I can tell one bit of innformation from another. Right now, everything looks like one white splotch. I WANT MY COLORS BACK!!

I went back to stock.. I don't like the white and that my apps aren't themed, but I really like the green on stock. I like the different color text in the drop down notification panel. There are a lot of stock elements I like. Just wish it had a black background and the apps were themed. If I had to choose one of these... I'd go with the mix of colors.

That isn't my man cbucz fault though, he's cranking out some awesome themes.. There are images the LG theming engine doesn't touch.. Have you looked into substratum? It themes apps and helps alongside these awesome dev themes to fill in the gaps that they can't fix right now due to restrictions from the theme engine and apktool not recompiling lg nougat apks properly. Just saying.. Awesome work on the themes BTW homeslice!

I think you misunderstood my point. I know all about the themes, substratum, rro.. I was justsaying what I liked about the stock themes. I know what can and can't be touched. Didn't say anything about having any problem with his themes..

Finally i had the time to do this, i have added one more picture to the collection. This show's off the message layout, colors and such!
As last time, i need everyone to say what they think about this theme and come with ideas.
I have added a donation button, for few reasons.
This theme is going to be free for everyone and there will be a icon pack later for those who does not have the option to use this theme and of the apps that aren't supported using themes.
Second reason is, i am broke. The plans was to go down to the store 1. May and pick up my phone but no money for that, so if anyone here thinks what i do awesome and want to help. I am thankful!Recommend everyone to check out my Behance1.ADDED NOTE:
I am a self taught graphic designer and in motion graphics. Mostly do clean looking stuff and lot's in polygon!
Worked on a custom rom for the Oneplus 3/3t phone, but it died and most of my work died with it.
I'll be getting the s8+ too, and i would love to see my own work on the phone. So while i wait, i'll be working on this theme

Sadly, no galaxy s8+ for me. Currently no job and broke. Time to live at mom :/

I don't know really. Maybe there will be an update later on.
I hope I'll be able to change the software keys, I really do.

You have the device, great. I need to ask you to do something for me.
Can you take some screenshots of the settings layput and phone/dialer layout.
I cannot remember everything by mind, i am currently on ISO because my S7 phone died!
Why is it so hard to come up with name...
Was thinking something that has to do with dark/black.
But i am not really the only one out there that as made a theme named Dark something or black something.
So, i was thinking of calling it coal theme. But in latin which should be "Carbo Theme"
Or something fancy like, Darkified stock theme
How many icons did you do? Can you only change Samsung App Icons or across the board i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Gmail... etc.
What would it look like for icons that cannot be edited?

Hey everyone, welcome to my thread. I'm hoping to see some familiar faces around here so please pop in and give a quick hello! For those who aren't familiar with me, I've been designing themes for LG for a few years now and have supported devices from the V10, V20, G4, G5, G6, G7, V30, V40, G8, V50 and now I welcome the G8X! It's been quite a ride the past few years and I've really enjoyed this and would like to say thank you to everyone who has popped in to take a look or gotten involved with any of my threads. So the purpose of this thread is to provide support, feedback and have an open channel to communicate with everyone regarding updates, ideas, and give support to those who need it. The only rules are to be kind and do not start or engage in negative discussions. For the most part that seldom happens because that's just not how I do things around here so we shouldn't have to worry about any of that stuff. If someone does come in and rips on one of you or me just report the user and one of our moderators will send them on their way. I encourage people to post their screenshot setups or other things that come from using any of my themes. For example you may have set a custom dpi or something and found it looks really clean. Definitely share that with people here and mention what you set it to be so others can give it a whirl. Now the important part when using any of my themes is to actually read the app description when you're looking at it on Google Play. I often post important information there that you may find useful in order to get the best experience. Also I am very active on Google plus too so be sure to follow my LG themes collection there as I post things there too. Rain
This is Rain, an LG Home+ theme for your LG G8X UX 9. This theme is a premium quality theme like no other Home theme+. What you see is what you get and that is quality and attention to details! Rain is a dark theme with some bright gradient accents throughout. The Dark Notifications compliment the ui and battery life! The app icons have a slight gradient to them, with some more noticeable than others. This theme does not support adaptive icons as some of the key features of this theme are blocked by enabling the adaptive icons.
For best experience it is recommended to turn on Dark Mode in settings, display so that some of your third party apps will automatically take on dark mode. However it is not necessary if you'd prefer them to stay light. The theme will look the same if you leave Night Mode off

One UI 2
So UX 9 does have a somewhat oneui kinda feel to it. But it's just not quite there and missing a few things. So I decided to go all the way on this one and go full on One Ui 2 and give us all the goodness that we wanted. Adaptive and dynamic icons are included. I highly recommend choosing the "round" option which can be accessed via settings app, display, home and selecting the icon shape. If you want you can change from light mode to dark mode as well and the notifications will change as well. A reboot may be required when doing this as some notifications may suffer slightly if you don't reboot. It's a very clean and minimal theme and as per the title and screenshots, what you see is what you get!

Yes it is. If you're having trouble finding it just click my name on google play and go through the list of all my stuff and you'll be able to find it from there
Ok so this thread is too quiet so I'm gonna have to make something super buggy to get some action in here!

This is turning into a needle in the haystack rabbit hole treasure hunt . I just looked and don't see anything on Play Store that says LG G8X, so can you either post or PM me a link to the specific app of yours you're referring to please

I am not able to find it either in play store. I found the rain theme for UX8 but nothing for UX9. Could you please post a direct link to playstore?
Never mind. Found it.
Calender icon is not updated for dark theme. Could you please fix that and push an update to playstore?

Notification for https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weather.Weather is impossible to read due to dark text on dark background. Is this something you can fix please?
