sorry but i have to.:crying:

Bugs found so far: slow ext4 format (workaround: settings > rm -rf instead of formatting)

Thanks for that, but could you please explain the difference? Changelog or something? Because as I can see in the twrp.me website there's no 3.0.3 version yet into the main page. Or am I missing something?

Shame, so it's the same problem with 3.0.2 by TeamMEX.

As to how you want everything to be perfect, same as I also want and wish for Ghost.
I started in post that this is a Ported TWRP , so it's UNOFFICIAL, so don't expect it to work as how you want it to be.
Lastly, note that am not your personal Dev, I share to the world and not to you.

I clearly understand your and your point of view, this is a port from another device, which the Dev didn't clearly state any changelog as it being for OFFICIAL TWRP itself but for his device as his intention is to fix certain bugs.

I do appreciate the fact that you have tested it, Thanks.
My device is *Ghost_Retail* and ext4 formatting is very fast.
My camera device for taking videos is not in a good shape to record, either than that, I would have given you a video of it formatting fast.
Anyway, Thanks again and I will work on it.
Now I have to fix my exam first and Development second.
I will work it out soon.

The reason why this is 3.0.3 version is, when a Dev or maintainer for his device is working on the recovery-image as in a way to fix bugs, then that is when he/she can Update the version number and that is why it's called UNOFFICIAL .
Thanks.

Why you feel offended? I don't want to offend you, only pointed is a small annoying bug already present in another version.
Also I never said (and never thinking) you are my personal dev, and I don't have problem with unofficial one because I use TeamMEX version (many months and counting) without problem apart my quote one and with a really simple fix.
I will try for sure when I have time, sorry for the misunderstanding

For the name you can use a different way to renominate new version similar to other one, like this:
3.0.2-1 or
3.0.2.1 which is easy to understand the real number TWRP based on.

I GET U WELL
I didn't change the version of what I ported bro, it was 3.0.3 and it's still the same as I left it.

what is the different... is the same

I think him don't understand xD
what is the real change, we have 3.0.2 version.
But the 3.0.3 "last"
Change version to 3.0.3 to support the app release is the changelog from TWRP
not much changes

I don't think so..omnirom of course is always android and the appearence is similar in every versions..but I think that is a different concept on a programmative side. Finally a real android open-source? read from the link in the first post to know better how does this project consists in (if you really downloaded en evervolv rom, try the link right above my post, it works)

Domenico you are fantastic. Please never leave our evo 3D!!!! Thank's to you we can have the latest versions of wonderful projects like omnirom in a very short time after they are announced. Simply the best!
Well,my evo is gone, and I'm gonna buy a nexus 5(please google hurry up!)
Since hopefully working on the n5 will be boring and not fun as its on the evo I might port 4.4 or whatever comes next

Omnirom for now lacks most customization,it's still a big WIP,and I used evervolv device trees(with my edits, tho)
don't be surprised if it says ev all over the place

Yeah even me was interested in nexus 5, even if today didn't come out anything from google..but max in a couple of week will be out for sure, let's see :fingers-crossed: of course working on a device AOSP listed is easier (fully working rom, a recent kernel available, bootloaders factory unlocked without nonsense HTC restrictions)..but working on evo 3D gives more satisfaction LoL So now you are developing in a "blind way", I mean without a phisical device..and you roms boot!! I am impressed Good luck for the 4.4 developing , hope to see in future
Rom still isn't bugless, don't send me PMs with bugs,I already know what is broken
Anyways
Little(quite big tho) experiment
Take a read at http://www.linux.org/threads/flash-friendly-file-system-f2fs.4477/
This file system by default is used on motorola moto x and together with @namenlos we found that it delivers better performance also on our little evo.
As (I hope) most of you know, formatting to a different file system requires a set of utils, thus a different recovery and the loss of all of your data.
I didn't find any good reason to make all of you erase all your data, flash a different recovery and running manually format lines,so I came with a different flashing method..
It is more complex than usual and might not work fine(remember,no device,so no testing)
Download https://www.dropbox.com/s/utdclidhbi4yokp/first.zip and https://www.dropbox.com/s/dkj9n7jb8u1i2vp/second.zip and http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23159073880937120 and place 'em on your SD card
tl:dr:
Flash first.zip, once it ends reboot to recovery, wait for it to reboot, boot again to recovery and flash f2fs.zip
Click to collapse
Here's a little insight
First zip does the following things:
Make a backup of your /data(make sure you have 1.2 GB free on your SD)
Make a backup of your recovery
Flash a custom TWRP made to work with F2FS
And adds a custom openrecoveryscript to tell the special recovery to flash second.zip(ensure you have it in root of your sd)
Asks you to reboot to recovery(please do it)
Click to collapse
Once you reboot, custom TWRP starts, reads the script that tells it to flash second.zip
Second zip does the following:
Format as F2FS /data and /cache
Restore your data
Restore your recovery
Reboot(you should then pull the battery and reboot to recovery)
Click to collapse
From your recovery, flash "f2fs.zip" which is the rom itself, reboot and enjoy
NOTE:
Kernel is not evervolv,it's a hybrid between a old johnnyslt with tweaks, new EV and my various changes
https://github.com/helicopter88/android_kernel_htc_msm8660/tree/jellybean-4.3
Oh yes fantastic file system on the moto x huge gains in performance for a dual core processor, battery performance is unbelievable, 5 hours screen time and you'll still have power left over, loving mine
Sent on my Moto X
I am willing to test it but one thing prevents me from doing that (apart from a lack of free time). How do I get back to the standard FS? do I just restore the backup i would create in the recovery?

It doesn't work,no need to try
in that case I am waiting for another build. I will be happy to test it
To go back to the old Rom you might have to restore the recovery first. Just go into fastboot usb mode and flash the official recovery. Then you can restore your backup comfortably in TWRP for sure. IIRC it should also work on the modified TWRP, at least when I tested it.
+1 for the ROM,

The problem was good know, but i think no one tried or cant find right libs. I will trying to find one right because not all stuff of patch is needed i think but it works. If the libs from similar phone could works on g2m we can try it on cm14 for g2m.

yes, you can be sure now all works good with patch. I think will be no official fix because they are focused on CM14 and this bugs are not made by CM team as I know.

[ROM][Pixel-XL][7.1.2_r33][Unoffical] PureNexus Project [18/8/17]

G'day guys and girls
I haven't seen PN source code updated for a while on the r33 side, seems they are focusing on the kernel a little bit
So I merged the tags myself and add some features to the ROM
I'LL TRY TO KEEP THE THREAD UPDATED, BUT THERES NO GUARANTEE ON THAT, THE REPO WILL PROBABLY BE UPDATED, IF YOU WANT TO BUILD YOURSELF, GO TO THE REPOSITORY DOWN BELOW
PLEASE NOTICE
This version was NOT signed by the PureNexus's certificates, please do a FULL FACTORY RESET if you are from the offical build.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but this is compulsory
Features
Built in GAPPS (no gmail, Google News and weather and play magazines, don't find them useful since I've got outlook and other replacement)
Built in Greenify
Android 7.1.2_r33 August security level
VoLTE tested
Lineage Terminal
ElementalX 1.15 Kernel (NTFS rw, exFAT, High Brightness Mode, Digital Gain control)
USB Patch for using the phone as a USB HID keyboard/mouse see here
All PureNexus Features
Untested
Since I am in Australia, there's no actual way to test whether Wi-Fi calling works, but it should work considering Project Fi was prebuilted. Please tell me if I need to add anything.

If the official PN doesn't have a feature that a user wants, they are within their rights to build a version that incorporates that feature.
And in most cases, if the builder marks it as Unofficial (as is the case here), they are welcome to share it others, on the understanding that no support will likely be given from the official builder.

Wipe data , system , cach ,delvik
Flash Treble
Flash image of Android P ?
If this is the order, this rom doesn't work . It says password correct, Data decrypted but seems corrupted

Before you flash Treble, you need to have the right firmware/MIUI rom flashed. The MN2 Treble thread should give you an indication what is the minimum version to use. I used the latest 8.8.30 EU multi rom and that works fine with Treble. I had no luck with any of the P GSI images though. They all had some kind of shortcoming that was a deal breaker for a daily driver. Most notably due to most if not all P GSI images being rooted, could not get Magisk to hide it well enough to get Google Pay to work. I used up to the latest (v 17) Magisk image that works with Treble. I also had an other app I need for work (Concur) that would not work for the same reason. There is also overheating and battery drain issues with most GSI images. I tried many over a day and a half of stuffing around with Treble. I am now back on the above mentioned EU rom. Treble is too young for my needs just yet. Better luck to you.

Forums/MIUI ROM releases, self explanatory really. Same forum concept as it is here at XDA. I'm not going to link directly to the download because you should be doing some homework about suitability for your needs.

Thank you @ProtoDeVNan0 for the awesome OP6 port,
Thank you @spicebaba410 for pointing me towards the GSI,
Thank you @erfanoabdi for the awesome sGSI!!!
Thank you @phhusson for the awesome GSI!!!
NOTE:
THIS ROM USES GSI AS ITS BASE YES.
All the fixes that could be found on the upcoming release(S) are not completely from the GSI fixes by erfanoabdi. device specific changes will be delivered by ME/OTHER POCO Devs when/if possible.
NEW Update
I somehow got the ril to boot up and received sms-es, But the tinkering i had to do was too much....
Create a custom partition
copy efs from my s7 edge
scripts to mount efs during boot
Alas this cannot be shared as that would expose my samsung phone's imei..
So lets wait for A6s's ONEUI release which should work like a charm..
Cheers
You can download the ROM here

If you are asking that question on an alpha rom with no ril then you should educate yourself a bit
you should add notes that install rom will wipe storage
it wiped my everything now... what a headache
Tested on multirom and it's working! Thx a lot!

Anybody flashing stuff really should know enough to backup first.
Don't blame the dev!
Looking good, awesome work! Hope you figure out a way to get RIL working

How did you do? can you please tell me?
Just flashed a few hours ago. It's awesome, great work and kuddos to you!
Pros:
-Animations are snappy and fluid
-Aesthetics are really nice
-custom kernels work (specifically extreme coz that's the only one i tried)
Cons:
-Not sure if it's just me, but rom is not detecting my external sd card, it's asking me to format it. Twrp recognizes my external sd card though.
-can't remember if it's mentioned in op, but fp scanner is not working as well.
-vibrate option doesn't stick
Overall, a great rom! Good enough to daily drive, but since it's not detecting my sd card, i'm just gonna wait for the update!
Hope you continue on improving on this amazing rom! ??
PS: forgot to mention, can't login to google account as well, always giving a black screen. I think updating android system webview should solve it though.

I didn't blame him, it's my fault.
Just suggest that he could mention that in OP. Better for other peoples do reseach before flashing. We don't want thread be flooded with format storage comments.
Does development continue?
