[ROM][7.1.x|SM-T900| Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 (v2awifi) - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 Android Development

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1.* (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

I would not recommend dirty flashing from CM-13.0 since this is a major OS change. Also something to take into account is that some apps are not ready for N yet.

Haha again I'm the first to make a post whenever Thompatry releases a brand new ROM.
Thank you very much!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2017 to you and your family.
Best regards,
Eric

Finaly, a working Nougat for the awesome tab pro.
Love this tablet but the support from samsung is terrible. Stuck in 4.4 Kitkat and the tab deserves an better version.
Had a working Lollipop but it was buggy like hell.
This release is working perfect, and above all, its fast and smooth.
Nothing like the buggy Lollipop.
Keep up the good work, love this release and Marry Christmas to everyone.

So far working pretty well, but I'm not having any luck getting the SD card write fixes to work. I got them to work on M. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi @dialbat
It is highly recommended you have 3.0.2-0 or higher, whilst you could still do it on your version more than likely, I would not recommend it as the later version have more advanced options that one should consider using, especially in the wipe department.
Just keep in mind that any recommendations that you see in the initial post, it is more than likely because during the testing period before release, we may find certain procedures, bugs or operational matters that are reflective on the versions of systems we are using, and thus we always look at the best possible recommendations, typically this avoids heavy amounts of repeated questions and repeated issues.
Cheers,
David.

Hi @dialbat
Just note if you install any other SU system it might claim that it is out of date, whilst this might be the case installing any other SuperSU system may interfer with the one it comes, and unless you need any crazy functions, the default one is pretty good.
Might be a useless bit of info, but I spent hours working on this to see what was optimal, and no matter what I landed back at the built in one for convieniance and usability [emoji2]
Cheers,
David.

CM14 first impressions. Clean install, big wipe, nano Open Gapps, all new app installations. Sound is weak and "OK Google" doesn't work as advertised. Play Store hiccoughed and then froze the tablet but reboot fixed it and no further glitches. Hangouts still will not send a text as with CM13.
Otherwise, as I have been adding and testing more apps, I have not found any problems. It seems amazingly smooth and stable. WiFi and BT are good. Citrix receiver works like a bomb. Haven't found an app yet that doesn't play in the sandbox with Nougat. File explorers and Titanum read and write to extSD1 out of the box. Love dual screen. Mouse works great with arrow and no more blue circle. Seems like this is easily a daily driver from the first release. Goodby CM13, I used to love you but now have a new friend.
Merry Christmas to us all!

About LD
Years after the death of LiquidSmooth, Sean Hoyt, (the LiquidSmooth lead dev) has returned to the ROM game, along with the Exynos5420 team, to bring greatness to our beloved Exynos5420 tablets (and note 3), out of the ashes of the fallen LiquidSmooth ROM. LiquidDeathOS is super optimized for the Exynos5420.
In fact right now it is so optimized that it won't even boot on non-exynos devices
LDO is AOSP based , and is only for Exynos devices
(it's even more optimized than cm).

FAQ:]
Q Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A No.
Q Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports while using it as Xposed can cause a lot of bugs.
Q Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A Xposed is not yet available for nougat, however when it is ready you will need to use the version arm sdk 25.
Q Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A Yes, the next build will be Thursday evening (eastern time), unless if something goes wrong of course...
Q Do I need to provide a log if I'm reporting a bug?
A If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a log.
Q I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip in the substratum folder in the internal storage.
Q Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A Yes, however make a nandroid first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs, also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q How do I get a logcat, and what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog

Whow!
Another great rom for our device and the file is really sssmmaaaaall this time!
No unwanted stuff, debloated right out of the box. Just the way I like it..!
I like to see new liquidness coming back...
Will test it tonight and report later...
I'm really curious to the optimizations done in this rom/kernel.
I am really glad with what dedication you all write new code for this nevertheless a few years old device.
If only we had a few good guys like you from the beginning ...
But finaly I'm really happy not to sold my device to replace it with a buggy pixel tab, Lol!
2 things so far, The wifi is set to recongize 5ghz in GB rather then all( don't remember the code for 'all', I switched mine to US). And some apps will have outstretched videos after a couple of seconds ( one such app is watchESPN). but other then, very nice ROM. Smooth and no troubling installing.
This ROM looks like a real killer. I like the fact that it is optimized for our specific chip, and the configurabilitylooks sweet. What gapps package is recommended for this build? I usully go with open gapps nano, but I might try the aroma package once more. I like the "pick & play" aspect and the install ui. Anybody have input with the gapps. I think I am going to really like this ROM. Thanks again, guys! ;-DeanoD
This looks awesome, i will be waiting for an stable version
Right, just clean flashed and I chose Nano GApps.
There's a problem that's solvable. It appears that the built-in AOSP WebView might not be working properly. For instance:
Feynman Lectures app opens but does not load its main page
Lightning Browser opens, but gets stuck once the UI is visible.
GetTube opens, but crashes once the YouTube link is clicked
Lithium eReader catalog crashes
SwiftKey is usable, but accessing its main menu (likely the one where it uses WebView to go online) crashes the app
"Crashes", as in the app is frozen and stops responding and Android offers the app-kill popup.
After installing Android WebView from the Play Store, everything works perfectly again. Checked the IR, camera, played some games (Machinarium, Deus Ex GO, TWoM) and all appears working. And yes, this is a real minimal install, so no music player, no browser etc from the get go.
And thus, those moving in from that CM14 build, might not be able to wake up from home key, hide software buttons and be rooted from a default install. I don't mind the former two, so to get root, download and flash the zip from here:
https://download.chainfire.eu/1017/SuperSU/SR1-SuperSU-v2.79-SR1-20161221223537.zip
I'll do some further testing, will report with more findings or logs in a week or so.
ROM won't boot after 15 minutes. Stuck at Android boot screen. Suggestions?

No mods, not even gapps. I performed a factory reset prior to flashing. I did receive the e: unknown command error after flash.
Edit: followed the instructions in OP to the letter. ROM boots fine now!

For a first draft ROM, this looks solid, and runs very clean. Still trying to tweak the install but system settings refuses to open so far. Will re-install tomorrow. ;-Deano

Currently there are none of the usual customisation options that you would expect in custom ROMs, absolutely nothing, being able to wake the tablet by pushing the physical home button would be a nice start. I'm also finding that like some other ROMs I've had on this and other devices Titanium backup will fail to restore some backups, just doing the animation it does while restoring but never actually finishing (having to install the occasional app from the play store while TB was doing its thing to make it progress), I had no sign of that problem with the CM14.1 ROM.
Once they hit their stride with development things should progress nicely, LiquidSmooth was probably the best ROM I've used (at least on this device).
It has navbar customizations in the system UI tuner, app ops in the security settings, and one of the main features is the substratum theme engine, more features will be added soon, can you get a logcat for the titanium backup issue
Right now the plan is to iron out the reported bugs, and then focus on a lot more features, keep in mind, this is this literally our first release ever, don't expect it to have a ton of features on the very first release
Really impressed by this ROM. Amazing work guys!

It has navbar customizations in the system UI tuner, app ops in the security settings, and one of the main features is the substratum theme engine, more features will be added soon, can you get a logcat for the titanium backup issue

My first go at capturing something using Catlog is attached, TB trying to restore Adaway app & data for a while.
I have looked through pretty much the entire Settings interface and found no "system UI tuner" anywhere and no app that looks as though it would do any such thing, I have not removed a thing via TB or any other means.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or LAOS team, if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Nougat. You don't need to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device
Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended)
Wipe system, Cache, data and ART/Dalvik cache
Flash ROM Zipfile
Flash/Install GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
Flash/Install the root solution of choice (optional), I personnaly recommend magisk
Reboot to system
The ROM has GApps persistance in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)!
Supported root solutions:
Magisk v13.x
SuperSU - stable and beta available (Site by CCMT that took over the the marketing from chainfire)
SuperSU - direct download link for the latest SuperSU directly from the dev (chainfire)
Lineage SU-addon (check your needed version: 14.1 arm or arm64) -> the removal zip is available here too.
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows Omni source with many additions/changes
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the buildin OTA app that needs TWRP recovery installed to work.
You can still use LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. Zip gets saved in the "AICP_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery.

FAQ:]
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, the next official release will be on Tuesday around 6:00am (Eastern Time).
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. I don't offer support for bugs you might encounter using them.
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports while using it as Xposed can cause a lot of bugs.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You need to use the version arm64 sdk 25.
Q. What's the difference between the experimental builds, and the official builds?
A. The experimental versions have experimental code and features, I update them usually when I'm testing something new and I think that others might want to try it too, or when something needs to be tested, for example my experimental builds had the new lineage browser, and the PA color engine long before the official builds had it. The official builds only have stable code and are updated automatically every week. You can switch between both whenever you want
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post..
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs, also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the system, cache, and dalvik cache, flash the ROM, gapps, and reboot.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A. In twrp go to the install page, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install the root method of your choice if you don't want to lose root, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Settings->Navigation.
Q I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip in the substratum folder in the internal storage.
Q I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A Check this out, if that doesn't work for you ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just flash Magisk again!
Q I'm having issues with whatsapp, how do I fix it?
A Read this
Q Does Dolby Atmos work?
A Yes, get it from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342
Q. Do I need to provide a log if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a log.
Q. How do I get a logcat, and what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog
This is a work in progress guide to getting great battery life
Note: This guide is meant to be used on my kernel, there's several optimizations that I've left out of this guide because I enabled them by default in my kernel
1. Underclock the big cores to 1900mhz
2. Set the GPU governor to simple_ondemand
3. Set the vibration strength to zero (or close to zero) in the misc section
4. Set the default I/O scheduler to noop
5. Go to developer options and turn off the logger buffer sizes (you will have to turn this back on in order to get a logcat for bug reports, and to pass safety net)
6. Use greenify to enable aggressive doze and doze on the go, and use it to limit background apps
7. If you underclock the big cores even more in kernel adiutor you'll get much better battery life, you'll also get much better battery life if you underclock the little cores to 1440MHz
8. Turn off all animations in developer options
9. In kernel adiutor set the low memory killer values to the aggressive setting
10. Disable fsync (risky, you could lose data if the system crashes)
11. Use the suspend actions in aicp extras and turn off the ota checker
12. Use privacy guard, and the wakelock blocker in aicp extras/system extensions to block wakelocks
13. In aicp extras/ various ****, enable sensors block per package
14. Turn off WiFi before turning off the device, otherwise it will have issues going into deep sleep

Hi, i am using this rom and well its good, the ovreal performance of the rom will improve in the future but i have an issue and that is because the Magisk is preinstalled on rom i can not sign in Snapchat. Maybe a suggestion to make either a superSU preinstalled or no root and user will have to flash or install whatever he likes afterwords...
Thanks ?
I'm running a new build right now which will hopefully have YouTube fixed, I think we're almost ready to go official

Firstly, many thanks for this and helping keep our tablets up to date. I am hopefully going to try flashing this later today.
Is this Rom pre-rooted or am i going to need to flash SuperSU?
Thanks again.

Awesome work, thanks!
Is this as optimised for the P600 as LD was? Any summary of what makes this unique compared to Lineage?

1. No,
2. Yes, way more features/customisations, mhl partially works, and is in some ways faster
This seems to be the best rom for p600, at the moment. :good:
It works with prime kernel v. 7.2 and has much more features than LOS and LD.
Substratum is also working and should be included as default system app and there is MagiskManager support, so that Safetynet is finally working.
There are only some minor bugs like:
- QS-Tile background is always translucent
- minor graphic glitches
- if Nougat Sidebar inside Settings menu is deactivated via AICP extras the back-button which replaces the menu-button doesn't work
- Ui is a little bit laggy
- screen mirroring doesn't work like on all other aosp roms
- Brightness-sensor is a little bit slow or not correctly calibrated
- Magisk Manager link in settings should be in the system category and not in the personalise category
Thank you mosimchah! :victory:
*update: graphic glitches and performance issues are prime kernel related. No issues with original AICP kernel. So don't flash prime kernel until the kernel gets an update!
Thanks again for yet another great upgrade! So far running great, the only issue I'm having is that the S-Pen button isn't working, which isn't a big deal for me.
s pen features ( cursor on the screen, palm rejection etc)
Does the features like palm rejection, the cursor that shows up when you hover your pen over the screen, and air command still work after rooting and installing Nougat? My Note 10.1 still has Lollipop on it and I am on the fence about installing Nougat
Sweet!!
M -- Once again, you have outdone yourself with this ROM. With full wipe and fresh install, it took barely 20 mins. And the settings will keep me happy for ages. My Wacom Feel Stylus is also performing fantastically. So far, not even a blip. I may be imagining this, but the screen res even seems smoother. Great work from the entire team that worked on this. ;-DeanoD

Does the features like palm rejection, the cursor that shows up when you hover your pen over the screen, and air command still work after rooting and installing Nougat? My Note 10.1 still has Lollipop on it and I am on the fence about installing Nougat

Palm rejection works, no cursor, and you can install a separate app for air command, search the lineage thread for it
The first official build should be next Thursday

Could be instelled by OTA? I wanna try this ROM, but if I have to repeat the installation on Thursday I would wait for it.
Thanks for your job!!!

Just dirty flash the build... The ota might work for the next build, I'm not entirely sure though
Great Rom, so far everything is smooth. Love all the features.
Only problems I found are some audio glitches, mostly when locking/unlocking the screen while listening to music from the headphone jack.

Some apps have their own floating cursors, but there isn't one built into the ROM (as far as I know). The kernel has the option to disable pen detection while the pen is inserted.
Air Command / S-notes etc are Touchwiz-only features. There are certainly some third-party apps to fill the gap, if you search for S-pen in the play store. The most popular ones seem to be the combination of CM S-Pen Add-On and Note Buddy.
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't notice that your comment already had a reply.

Installation instructions:
1. Make sure you have TWRP installed on your device to be able to flash the rom.
2. Download the latest build from the link above and copy it to a place where you can find it later.
3. Optionally download GApps for using the Play Store and other Google related services from here: https://opengapps.org. Choose ARM as architecture and 8.1 as the OS version. The size of the GApps package is upon to you how much apps you want to have preinstalled. Copy this zip aswell to a place where you can find it easy later. If you download it with Chrome or with the Google Drive App it should be by default in the Download folder.
4. Turn your phone off and press Volume UP + Home Button + Power button at the same time until the splash screen appears. Then your device should boot into the recovery. There you wipe following partitions: Data, System, Cache, Dalvik if this is your first install. All of your installed applications get lost by this. Your photos, videos etc. won't get deleted if you haven't ticked the box for internal storage. As the kernel also supports F2FS i would change the filesystem for the cache partition from ext4 to f2fs for a better system performance. Now go to the main TWRP menu, click on install and go to the place where you have placed your zips and first select the rom and then click on the left button if you have downloaded the optional GApps package to add another zip to the queue. Now swipe the slider at the bottom to install and reboot the phone to the system. The first boot can take a while and after booting you could experience some lags because of the GApps initialization but they should disappear after some time.
5. Now you have successfully installed the rom and you're ready to use ResurrectionRemix on your device. Congratulations!
Bugs:
- VoLTE (isn't working on samsung devices and won't work anytime in the future too)
- Same as LineageOS 15.1

4-core processor or 8-core processor?
If 8 core enabled, can we get 4 core enabled version?
Also thank you all of you guys for still developing for A310F users. I wish i can donate for you guys but PayPal is not avalaible in our country.

Quad Core Kernel. I won't publish any of my new roms with Octa Core Kernel's because of the high battery drain.
You don't need to donate me anything. I don't even have set up PayPal .

And i dont like Octa Core too. Phone overheats and battery drain is too much like you said.
Keep up that great work !
Does sound work in all apps? I've used three other 8.0 roms and they all recorded mic very quietly in apps like Snap and Insta.

As I see this rom audio recording is working fine right? I had another issue with L15.1 which was that I couldn't get faceunlock to work at all, it didn't even show up in the setings. It wasn't the gapps cause I use those same gapps on extendedAOSP and it worked. Also at some point the mic stopped working, etheir for calls nor audio recording. I'm on 14.1 now but it doesn't play flac natively and the music player I use doesn't support flac by itself, all the rest is great en 14.1. So, if anyone is kind enough to advice me about this ROM that'd be great, I'm getting a little tired of flashing, mostly because I need the phone for work during the day and the microphone dying is not cool XD Thanks in advance.

Most audio issues are fixed in the latest version.
RR should be as stable as my Lineage OS builds as it is based on my trees. Only current issue is buggy MTP but this will be mostly solved in our kernel tree soon.
RR-Pie-v.7.0.1 is coming soon
Hi,
(This is my first post on xda, so I'm not sure I'm doing it right. Tell me if I should do it differently so I learn)
I like this rom, and have used it in various versions of several devices, so I'm happy to see it is developed for this device too.
However, when i try to flash it to my SM-A310F, I get the error that this rom is for a3xelte, while my device is (blank space) .
I use TWRP v. 3.0.2.1 and have flashed the revolution OS rom with success. This rom works ok, but I just miss some the customizations and functionalities in RR.
-And also the lack of samsung software, which I use none of and just disable.
I general, I can install roms which are based on the stock samsung rom in some way or another (like the revolution OS), but not roms like RR, dotOS or lineages.
From Software settings (running revolution OS):
Baseband: A310FXXU2BPG6
Kernel version: 3.10.105-NOUGAT-ALX-0.0.2
So, do any of you clever people have a good idea why my SM-A310F is not considered worthy for RR? Is there a way to flash it anyway, or is this a hardware issue of some sort?
And thanks!

You need to update TWRP. Here you find the latest official build: https://eu.dl.twrp.me/a3xelte
And also you could do a baseband update. Flash the newest firmware for your country via ODIN and install TWRP and RR after that again.
I recommend you to use RR 7 (Android 9) instead of this. I haven't published a build since a long while.
Thanks so much for the very quick response! I will give both a try starting with updating twrp. I'm not sure where to look for the baseband update, but I will try to find it if twrp update does not work.

You can use the tool samfirm (google it) or updato.com
Baseband updates can improve signal strength/battery life. But it is not necessary.
Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.
I'd love to try RR7, but I can't find the download link in the relevant thread (it says removed by OP) or in the RR homepage. Therefore I chose this version instead. Is RR7 available somewhere else.

[ROM][OFFICIAL][9.0.0_r47][INACTIVE FOR PIE] Renouveau v9.0 (N920*/G92**)

This project is currently on pause and will not resume for Android 9. Active development is taking place for Exynos7420 devices on Android 10, and Renouveau v10 will pick up once these developments are finalized and ready for testing. Renouveau also will no longer be based on ResurrectionRemix, as they are no longer continuing with Android 10. If a moderator sees this, I ask that they close this thread. No further help will be provided for Renouveau v9. Thank you!

Introduction
Renouveau is an aftermarket Android firmware designed to renew your Android experience, with popular bases driving it all for customization, performance, and stability.
AOSP

LineageOS
↓
ResurrectionRemix
↓
Renouveau
Renouveau has only existed for a few months now, so please be patient as the kinks get worked out and everything you could ever want and more is brought to the surface for your eyes to see (on your phone anyway).
Source Code
All the source code for Renouveau is available from the Renouveau GitHub organization. Any changes made from the original ResurrectionRemix and LineageOS bases can be found here.
Additionally, the source code for the prebuilt kernel (soon to be included as part of Renouveau) can be found here.
Known Issues:
In-call audio on US-variant devices (see Patches down below)
MTP May be fixed now according to some users, needs testing and feedback
GateKeeperService (currently cannot be acquired by LockSettingsService, which prevents users from using security methods such as PINs and therefore prevents users from enrolling biometrics such as fingerprints) May be fixed now according to some users, needs testing and feedback
If you install a recent OpenGApps build, Google's Setup Wizard may crash while adding the finishing touches
Pre-installed Firefox will always crash (due to a bug Mozilla has yet to fix when the context of the app is in /system/priv-app until you update the app via a more recent APK or the Play Store)
F-Droid still exists (oops)
ViperFX will still want to install its driver despite the driver shipping with Renouveau, just give it root access to reinstall the driver and then you can revoke root access again if you wish
Working:
Audio
Bluetooth
Camcorder
Camera
Capacitive Buttons
Data
Fingerprint (only if you have previously-enrolled biometrics from before the GateKeeperService bug was introduced) (see above)
GPS
HWC
Microphone
Notification LED
Rotation
S-Pen
Sensors
Torch
Video Playback
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi Hotspot (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz)
Supported Models:
SM-G920F
SM-G928X
SM-N920T/W8/P
SM-N920X
SM-N9208
Experimental: G92XUS devices
Experimental: G92X devices
If your model is not listed as being supported above but the ROM works for your variant of the SM-N920* series or the SM-G92** series, please tell me! I'll be happy to support it.
Install Instructions:
NOTE: Before downloading Renouveau, please check to make sure your device is an SM-N920T. If it is not, you will have to follow an additional set of steps in order to be able to flash the downloaded ZIP. Otherwise, you will receive an error about this ROM not being for your device.
The additional steps, to be done after downloading the latest version of Renouveau:
Open the downloaded ZIP file in your favorite archive software (such as 7-Zip, WinRAR, or good ol' File Explorer)
Inside of the ZIP, navigate to /META-INF/com/google/android
Drag the updater-script file to someplace you can access easily (such as your desktop)
Open the extracted updater-script file with your favorite text editor (such as Notepad, Notepad++, Sublime Text 3, etc)
On the very first line, you should see some text that looks like this:
Code:
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "nobleltetmo" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "nobleltetmo" || abort("E3004: This package is for device: nobleltetmo; this device is " + getprop("ro.product.device") + "."););
Remove this line such that the first line instead says this:
Code:
ui_print("Target: Samsung/nobleltetmo/nobleltetmo:9/PQ3A.190801.002/eng.joshua.20190914.154326:userdebug/test-keys");
Save the file
Drag the edited file back into the same location inside of the ZIP, and overwrite the changes if it asks you to
Use this edited ZIP to finish the installation/update instructions
Download the latest version of Renouveau v9.0 from the given releases page
Download the latest version of the Helios for AOSP 9.0 kernel from the given releases page
Download the latest version of OpenGApps (ARM64/9.0/nano) or a synonymous microG package (optional)
Download the latest version of Magisk (optional)
Reboot into recovery mode (support for recovery issues will only be provided for TWRP)
Flash Renouveau
Flash OpenGApps/microG (optional)
Flash the prebuilt kernel (if you're not using SM-G920F)
Reboot into Renouveau and set up your device
Reboot back into recovery mode, flash Magisk, and then reboot back into Renouveau (optional, but recommended for additional functionality not available without Magisk)

It may be possible that it already works for you! The only way to find out is to attempt to follow the install instructions and see if it boots. Before doing so, make sure to back up your device and then wipe data, system, cache, and dalvik/art cache. If you get a stable install running and can do your usual daily tasks, I'll make sure to add the N920W8 to the list of supported devices.
Good luck!
Quick boot and smooth home launcher. But My device cant find the sim (Note 5 N920T - sim VIETNAMESE)
The Bluetooth works very well on the N920G in both Floyd V2 and my builds of crDroid and Resurrection Remix, I do not know why not on the N920T.
Btw, Enes bringed up AOSP 9 for the Galaxy S6, not the Edge+ version & Khoailang2005 was the first to bring AOSP 9 kernel for N5, so, JijonHyuni take his idea an continue with it.

Hi,
It boots up when i flash the hyper kernel after flashing the rom.
bugs:
- In call audio is not working, when i call someone and its just blank no sound and hang up the Dialer with a beep and same with incoming call!
whats working:
-Bluetooth work fine on N920W8 and everything works fine except in-call audio.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To do:
-I think the main culprit is with the kernel it is not designed for our mobiles but instead it is made for all other samsung note 5 models.
-Please make some changes or build kernel and add support for N920W8 & N920T.

Thank you for the feedback!
Unfortunately I haven't self-developed any piece of the kernel behind this, but maybe I can try and work some things out, but who knows. I have some ideas I can experiment with, however I don't personally have service on my N920T for testing. I see you've joined the Discord server, so hopefully we can stay in contact on this issue and figure something out!

Hoping wifi tethering gets fixed. It's the only thing holding me back since I use that feature all the time.
@JoshuaDoes first of all thanks man for your great work your ROM working absolutely fine on s6 edge+ G928G with hyper kernal 2.6 no problem so far I m testing it right now but only one thing recent and back button are not working every thing else is working fine but I m still testing

Just so you know, WiFi tethering *appears* to be working fine for me on my SM-N920T. I can create the hotspot on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. I can also connect to it from my laptop just fine. The only thing I am not sure about at the moment is whether or not internet connectivity will work as I don't currently have service on my phone to test.

Thank you for the kind words!
I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to start with getting the back and recents keys working, however should you decide to stay on Renouveau (or any other ROM that uses the Hyper Kernel), your best bet would be to enable the navigation bar and treat your phone like a soft navigation phone. In Renouveau you can find this under Settings > Renouveau Tools > NAVIGATION.
Best of luck!
