Hello!
I'm trying to unlock my bootloader via official xiaomi's app. Sadly I have to have a MIUI China Developer ROM. So I downloaded fastboot version from miui site, added permissions via 'chmod' to 'flash-all.sh' script and then tried to execute this script. Sadly I have this error: "FAILED (remote: Partition flashing is not allowed)". What should I do to flash China Developer ROM?

I read a lot of threads about unlocking bootloader on my Xiaomi and noone ever mentioned that there is somehting called 'Mi Unlock status' where I can add my account to my device. Thank you very much, sadly I can't try unlock it right know, so I don't know if at the end it will work.
Everything works just FINE!!! I have no idea why I've never spotted anything bout OEM and adding your account via developer options.

Wait for about 5-7 days without changing ROMs.
The MIUI servers take time to sync the device verification (it is inconvenient, I know).
Also make sure to enable oem unlock in developer settings (search if you don't know how).
If this doesn't work then use unofficial method (again use search tool).
thanks for the reply..
Which Rom do you recommend that i need to use for 5-7 days??
Chinese Dev 6.5.5 ROM ??
It's very same in my case as well, it's been around 20 since i got message, I am inclined towards unlocking in unofficial way but feared about bricking the device

Same here, tried all the things. Patiently waiting for a fix. Anyone know what will happen when permission will expire? Are we allowed to ask for permission again?

But I can't flash global developer rom via updater app.
By the way, I see this from another forum, "You have to wait for a week after you received the message about you have the permission to unlock your device."
And also, your Miaccount's device must be registered as Redmi Note 3 Pro, if not ,you have to change that to Redmi Note 3.
i tried on Global Developer Rom but It stuck at 50 % ..... HELP..!!
Hi, there. If you want to flash global developer rom, you must download the zip.(the rom you want to flash/update via updater app) via system's browser, also, flash to global developer rom will wipe your data.
I tried it myself and it really works!
[Edit]
Download the latest rom , or this method can’t fix your problem.[emoji4]

If u want to unlock by officia method then u ll have to wait till xiaomi servers are updated with ur info. U may have have to wait for 7-14 days after receiving unlock permissions. The time may vary. I myself got permission to unlock on 11th june and successful unlocked on 30th. U can try to contact xiaomi on miui forum... Or else unofficial method is available on xda by rajdip.

I had the same problem but after I flashed global developer ROM, it was done in seconds.
Make sure that oem unlocking and debugging is ON under developer options. Check if your phone is registered in your MI account. I think your sim card has to be inserted too.
Good luck

I don't know if installing xiaomi unified driver will do any difference but when I plug phone while in fastboot, windows shows xiaomi android interface. I installed this driver as unsigned and windows has to be in insecure mode. But again before you boot phone in fastboot, open mi account on your phone and check if phone is verified, must not be unknown.
I have Mi Max to and I unlocked it without any special driver or ROM and on 1st try but with Redmi note 3 SD took me several days.

There is no way to unlock this this ??
Thanks!

i also did not got a message from them but when i used mi unlock tool it unlocked my phone.so you should try mi unlock tool and see if the unlock code was already sent to you but could not receive due to some reasons like me.
I got some problems to unlock my Redmi 3 Pro too, I was on Global Stable and was unable to unlock my phone.
I downloaded the developer ROM from MiUI site, updated manually via Updater app, and i successfully unlock my phone.

If you flash this ROM using edl mode and miflash tool ManhIT_ido_xhdpi_SpaceX 6.7.7 from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688234
It it for locked bootloaders but is rooted and has twrp recovery installed. You can then flash other ROMs that usually require an unlocked bootloader. I've changed from the spaceX ROM to the latest weekly thunder ROM and over the weekend to the CM13 ROM by Anik_Khan.

Hi, maybe you can give me some guidance, here.
I'm willing to try the CM 13 in a redmi 3 pro. Have you download it the China Developer Rom?
Try flashing the latest developer ROM with miflash, and then unlock your bootloader

Hi, I tried to unlock the bootloader of my RN4 (running MiUi 8.0.4 Global Stable), I got official permission and all that, but then something went wrong and my phone got into bootloop. I downloaded the fastboot ROM and tried to flash it via XiaoMiFlash but it says couldn't find the flash_all.
What can I do now? Help please
Hi, did you flash the China Development Rom before unlocking?
en.miui.com/forum.php?forumlist=1&mobile=2
I'm pretty sure that is a prerequisite? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here.
Do a search for bootloader unlock bootloop over at MIUI here & see what you can find.
en.miui.com/forum.php?forumlist=1&mobile=2
sorry, my mistake, the error was couldn't find flash_all_except_storage.bat
but when I looked into the folder where I extracted the ROM, I saw there was no flash_all_except_storage.bat file. There was flash_all_except_data_storage.bat, so I renamed it to flash_all_except_storage.bat and the corresponding .sh file as well. And the flashing process worked this time...

I saw people talking in the MiUi forum that the unlocking process works in Global Stable as well, but most people prefer the developer version. So I gave it a shot, and well, failed
So you still haven't unlocked?

I think you need to be on the China dev/beta rom as Wilderone advises, that's how I did it and it worked without a problem. Use the SP flash tool, seems scary but pretty straight forward and you just need to to read and follow the instructions.

And I still can't find the OEM unlock button. I downloaded the rom from official forum, so it's not vendor customized. Shouldn't the OEM unlock button be under the developer options menu?

If the OEM unlock button doesn't show, its probably because your on a vendor rom. You need to download the fastboot rom to flash with and follow the instructions at the link below.

Sorry not sure if my link worked,i tried to link directly to the correct file. If you go to the link below and download latest China developer fastboot file, look for the Redmi note 4. This is the file you need to use with SP flash tool. When booting up the rom for the first time, you need to log in using your mi account, you should then be able to go to developer settings and look for mi lock option where you can switch it on to allow bootloader unlock.
