At this point you need fastboot; you can try with the commands "fastboot erase userdata" and "fastboot erase cache"

As the title says, i am currently trying to get back stock and update it to MM build to get latest version of CM13 rom. But tried every god-damn method nothing worked. It says software install failed. Tried a lot of recoveries and ROMs which are official for GR5 aka honor 5x.
Tried recoveries:
KIW-L21 B140
KIW-L21 B130
KII-L21 B130
Tried firmwares:
Huawei_GR 5_Firmware_KII-L21_Android 6.0.1_EMUI 4.0_C636B310CUSTC636D001
Honor 5X_Firmware_KIW-L21_Android 6.0.1_EMUI 4.0_C432B330CUSTC432D001_Denmark
TWRP backups are working fine. But does not updates it to marshmallow. I think i need MM TWRP backup of it. If someone has please post it below so it will help other people as well as me.
It keeps saying software update failed. Doesn't even loads %1. And if i do this process with TWRP backup or CM installed device it still does not lets me install stock firmware.
I really don't know why it does like this since all the people can able to flash it to their devices while i cannot able to do it. I am facing this issue and it bugging me a lot.
Note: Both of the KIW-L21 and KII-L21 same model since 5.1.1 works both. Yet still does not lets me update the ROM to 6.0.1. so i think i need a MM TWRP backup if possible.
Edit: Provided screenshots below. PC sees it as MSM8916 for arm64(?) -this one is twrp backup of GR5 5.1.1-

Hello, I am currently in version b320 with stock recovery, b330 update does not exit from the settings. When I look at Firmware finder, It says it can be updated to version b330 from version b310. How to install or return the B310 version? And my bootloader unlocked.

you will need
HUAWEI UPDATE EXTRACTOR to get back to B310
and you will need Adb and fastboot
first download B310 firmware from huawei official website
open huawei update extractor app on you pc,then choose the path of downloaded firmware
extract BOOT,RECOVERY and SYSTEM
and put them into adb folder
open adb folder,connect your phone with the usb cable to your pc,open adb and fastboot app
enable usb debugging on your phone
type in adb:
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
your phone will boot to bootloader and fastboot mode,then type fastboot flashboot BOOT.img
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
fastboot reboot

So I flash with adb. Maybe I can flash b310 and update it to b330. Good right now
Hi everyone guys,I'm from Dubai.United Arab Emirates. I'm in trouble.
Maybe i bricked my phone.
I Rooted it, installed TWRP, and then i updated it not with the TWRP.
Since then i have got a bootloop issue, stuck with the Honor logo.
I can access the BOOTLOADER and the stock recovery (i tried to wipe and reset the phone here, but it do all the things and don't solve the problem) and ERecovery (same here i've got an error)
Try to put an update firmware on the MicroSD and make it run but didn't do anything, what can i do
U sure its a bootloop? First boot after update can make about 30 minutes. Anyways Flash stock recovery and try the update with the SDcard.

What's the exact model ? KIW-L21C432 ?
You don't need the stock recovery, just plug the charger, then the phone will boot on erecovery (second/alternate recovery)
You need the full ROM though, not an update.
If it's a KIW-L21C432, here is the stock ROMs:
KIW-L21 B140
KIW-L21 B330
unzip the dload folder, put it on you sdcard, then bot with the three buttons pressed.

need to unzip this file???
to piggy back on that he may need to extract his stock recovery from the update file, am I mistaken? Since the return to stock update to marshmallow guide does not have his stock recovery in OP.

No , it won't work . the base ROM installation mean there were many things like bootloader,modem,trustzone and few others . restoring a backup will just install system , data, cache ,recovery and boot .you benifit nothing from that . it actually is u are restoring b320 partial ROM on b360 which mean u are still On b360.
So follow my instructions above to downgrade. It's much easier

Get A Custom Rom Flashed and booted up first ! , And a small advice . some ppl start losing EFS and get out of connectivity , so try to get backup of it and save it in somewhere in ur laptop\pc save !

No way bro, b360 is not at all a base for custom roms
No matter what you do, every room boot loops upon flashing on this firmware
regarding the transfer.app
Download this file.
Extract the zip.
You will see transfer.APP file extracted . rename it to UPDATE.APP and then put it in dload folder of ur sdcard .
Goto settings/storage and set sdcard as default storage
Power off your phone .
Press volume down +volume up+ power at the same time .
Wait untill the Update completed .
Now flash b320 ROM or b340 update.app .

Thought it might have something to do with the bootloader unlocked, so locked it again. flashed the stock rom again but nothing happened.

Actually, intended to flash RRemix rom u provided, but was stuck in bootloop, so researched a bit and read smwhere that it needs to be downgraded first but neither custom nor stock rom is able to downgrade and even with the transfer.app(it itself is not being flashed on my device). Hi guys... after an upgrade with firmware finder and hisuite, my honor won't boot up... I have access on e-recovery(useless because i can't download anything), recovery (with only wipe reset/cache) and fastboot... I don't have unlocked bootloader and i never do something like this previous operation... how can i solve and reset the phone?

My friend and I have this problem, I tried everything and I did not succeed. I did not get help, and my phone is still in eRecovery. Please, if you can find the solution, tell me how.
Hope that someone answer this topic... Actually I don't have another phones...
PS: I try wipe/data factory reset and wipe cache partition... but nothing happen...

I've download the package and i installed it into SD card (folder dload etc..) but when i try to installation package (Pow butt + vol up, down) he get the error.

So, version before update was b183 Nougat
I format an sdcard on exfat, put the dload folder that you given to me and I try to install while pressing the Shutdown+Vol Up+Vol down... The error is "Software Install failed! - Get Help from emui.com/emotiondownload.php?mod=restore"
Obviously the URL doesn't work.
Have you tried to wipe cache partition in Erecovery ??

Guys I really need help!
After trying to install Xposed in my Mate 10 Lite just updated to Oreo this started to bootloop.
I had rooted the device with Magisk 16.0 and the model was RNE-L21C432
I have the bootloder unlocked and can access fastboot, unfortunately I do not have a backup done via TWRP.
I also have only 2 images of TWRP

Try flash system.img via adb fastboot and restore backup data via twrp sorry my bad english

Data is a application in your device, goto twrp and backup data if you dont want restore it , you can skip this step and only flash system .img via adb fastboot

Ok, i tried to flash system.img from fastboot mode but nothing, the phone try to boot but after 2 minutes it reboot to recovery

This backup not work, I think because is a EMUI 5.0.2 backup but I'm in EMUI 8.0.0...

Finaly yesterday I unbriked my device!
I download HuRUpdater and downgraded the phone to EMUI 5.1!
