So to start off I've tried most of the main stream methods to root this phone, a family member got it very recently and needs it rooted. Im decently experienced with rooting and such but cannot seem to find any tool that has been able to successfully root this phone.
Some background:
Its on android version 6.0.1
Im unable to open recovery mode, fastboot, or bootloader through adb or normal hw key mappings.
Its from tracphone.
List of things Ive tried:
Genius root
towel root
oneclickroot
kingoroot (apk and windows exe)
kingroot (apk and windows exe)
I appreciate any help given.

In developer options enable OEM unlock. Power off. Wait at least 5 seconds before holding in volume up and or volume down while holding power button at least 10 seconds. Only release power button until Odin opens. Otherwise, good luck.

Do you have root?
You can't fix it without rooting

From the following thread:
[Q] LG L9 P769 Bootloader not Unlocking
This will require some practice if your screen is already wonky, so patience grasshopper...
OK, I followed a process and got my phone back to square one, but also rooted and it goes as follows:
Verify both LG SW Update mode is sellected in PC connections settings, and that USB debugging is also selected
1 flash V20D_00.kdz (via the Up TestEX mod2_marwin application)
2 master reset
3 re-root device (by this time, you should be familiar with the correct touch locations on the wonky touch screen); LgPWN.apk used
5 device successfully restarted without further human interaction (if this does not happen, device is not successfully rooted; possibly try another rom in the same V20 designation
5 install SU
6 confirm phone set to LG SW mode in PC Connections setting
7 run Lelus firmware fix:
8 wait for device to promt for SU access and allow
9 On the command line: (always run as administrator)
cat /sdcard/external_sd/v6.bin > /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/firmware
reboot
10 device restored to original stock
It's not bootloader unlocked yet, but better than near softbrick...and still rooted.

Ive run adb reboot oem-unlock many, many times with no success; device just restarts. I've gotten CWM installed but still cannot flash roms. Its rooted, carrier unlocked, and otherwiseready to go; but no luck. I've updated the adm device log with the LG device identifier hex that I found in a link to google's adm help and troubleshooting section, and the device is recognized by adm again, but the command only restarts the device. It is interesting to note that I now get the flashing nav buttons when it boots however. If I hold down the vol down button it'll boot in CWM recovery, but holding the vol up button seems to do nothing. Any clues?

The cwm with the blinking lights at boot is a second init recovery (bootstrap). Meaning it was made for locked bootloader. It not a true custom recovery. I can't help you with the unlock, to many unknown stuff. It has only worked for some.

Hi,
I'm trying to root my Huawei for a few days and it just doesn't work!
Before I had a HTC Rhyme and I rooted it with codes in command prompt, and that succeed immediately...
I've tried KingoRoot, vRoot, RootGenius, PootRoot and some more. It all failed at the end.
I was searching for maybe a bootloader unlock but I can't find any help for my device on the internet.
Help me please!
Can anybody help me?

If you have PC follow these:
Try to download "kingo android" in your pc
then connect your device to pc via USB cable
open kingo android and start
If you dont have a pc and you have recovery mode in your device follow these:
search this: root (your device name) .zip file
and if you are successful put that zip file on root folder(the folder you see when you open your built-in file manager)
switch your phone to recovery mode
volume up, volume down, and menu button are the controls
navigate it to "apply update from sd card"
then choose your the zip file
If you dont have a pc and dont have a recovery mode follow these:
download "framaroot" "rootmaster" all apk
Hope it helps
Hi,
I got my Nexus 9 around launch date and used Wugs toolkit to unlock bootloader, root and install teamwin recovery.
I kept gettting OTA updates for 5.0.2 but they wouldn't install. After months of ignoring I thought I'd update.
It wouldn't update so I tried to use Wugs toolkit to 'Flash stock + unroot to latest version'.
This failed saying something about no fastboot device, although the device went to the white screen and seemed to be displaying hboot/fastboot as options...
I got frustrated and used TWRP to wipe everything, including the OS!
I'm used to Samsung so expected an Odin type program to flash over my mess... I can't seem to do anything now.
HELP! (Please!)
A reason I don't like tool kits. If they don't work as expected you have no idea what to do next. Follow the long method of this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58956577

Appreciate the reply but I can't enable anything within the device as there is no OS installed...
I have used vol down and power to select fastboot.... Is this "Boot your device into the bootloader" in your guide?
All I get is waiting for device in the cmd window
thanks

Vol down and power does bring you into the bootloader. Do you have usb drivers setup? Go into device manager on your pc with the device connected. Do you have an icon with a yellow exclamation mark? If so right click on it and go to where you can choose a driver from a list on your computer. Choose Android adb composite interface.

Sorry about the late reply, been on my honeymoon! For some reason it just wouldn't work on my PC, so I used my laptop and all was well.
Thanks.

Hi, I have an LG Power that has been rooted, and it was working fine until about a day ago, when I was trying to install TWRP and it didn't work. Each time I try to enter recovery mode, it says
The way I tried to install TWRP was by replacing the system hard reset file.
The TWRP file was made for the LG Leon, but the leon is almost identical to the LG Power. HELP!

How do you root a Tracfone? They are locked down tighter than garbage in a trash compactor.
I have the Lg Power as well. It has been stuck on the LG emblem. I need the stock firmware to flash back. Someone please help. 5.0.1 L22CV10a.1421747164, sdk 21 --MSM8916 Linux 3.10.49-gfa9ace2-00001-gbce8a10 Device y50c I am new to this but i had rooted the phone, had custom recovery installed. Didnt know that it replaced the recovery file and did a hard reset. But i can easily explain how to root and replace kingroot with superuser. I just need help locating the factory firmware. Have looked and cant find anything on this phone. Thx
Anyone know Chinese?

Looks like someone on here is posted the rom, but you need to sign up to see the DL links. I tried signing up, but it gave me an error. I may be doing something wrong, as most of the site looks like it is in Chinese...
I just used xda RootJunky's Amazon Fire 5th Gen SuperTool (April 6, 2016 version), JUST AS IT IS, to root my Tracfone LG L22C Power. With only a couple of mouse clicks.
Tracfone LG L22C Power info:
Model Number: LGL22C
Android version: 5.0.1
Kernel version: 3.10.49
Build number: LRX21Y
Software version: L22CV10a
The SuperTool batch file script rooted the phone with KingRoot and then uninstalled KingRoot and installed SuperSu.
I have since installed ES File Manager, Titanium Backup, Link2sd on the phone. Root is totally working. Rooted with only a couple of clicks!
Just enable Developer options on LG L22C (by tapping phone Build Number 7 to 10 times [Settings, About Phone, Software info, Build Number (tap 7 to 10 times)]), enable USB debugging on L22C in the Developer options settings.
Connect L22C to Windows 10 with a USB data cable (I used the USB 2.0 port). When screen message on the L22C mentions MTP mode, tap that and change to PTP mode on the phone.
Install RootJunky's SuperTool to the Windows 10 desktop.
Run RootJunky's SuperTool (Amazon-Fire-5th-gen.bat) You may have to read the instructions on the pages below and install adb drivers. Pick option #6 Root. Choose Option #3: version 5.1.2.
Press enter and KingRoot will be installed on the phone from the SuperTool. (approve any messages that appear on phone screen) Now don't touch the PC SuperTool until the phone is rooted.
Open KingRoot on the phone and run it. You may have to run KingRoot several times and the phone may reboot. Just keep running KingRoot until the LG L22C is rooted. After KingRoot reaches 100%, then press ENTER on the PC.
The SuperTool will now uninstall KingRoot and install SuperSU on the phone.
Choose NORMAL SuperSU install on the phone when prompted. When SuperSU is installed, reboot the phone. Disconnect data cable.
After reboot the LG L22C Power is rooted. There will be a request by SuperSU to upgrade. Approve it. You can now install Titanium Backup, Link2sd, ES File Manager, etc. Your phone is rooted. As easy as that. THANKS ROOTJUNKY!!!

I have just purchased infinix zero 3 (April 2017). Trying to root device initially via apks and pc software like
1. King root
2. Iroot
3. KingoRoot
4. Framaroot
5. Root genius etc.
Then found some articles telling TWRP method to root device, then i tried to install TWRP (recovery.img) [MT6795] in my infinix zero 3.
while flashing via sp_flash tool it shows successfully installed but when I tried to start my phone with keys combination Vol down + Power button it again shows old "Factory Mode" menu.
I spent nearly 6-7 hours on rooting the device but failed
looking forward to get help from here.
This also happened with me did u find a solution!
There's a little fuss regarding the Mediatek devices meaning that they are absoloute **** regarding both development and Specs along with performance.Remembet do not buy them. They are not meant to be messed with.Currently your issue is that you can't boot to recovery.Instead it goes to factory mode.First try fastboot to boot into recovery manually.Or ADB to boot into it.And Remember it good. After you flash the .img file if you don't boot into the recovery straight after flashing,The already present img won't be overwritten meaning that flash and reboot into flashed partitions.
