What state is your Archos in when you attempt to charge it? Is it in one of the sleep modes, or is it truly powered off? (For the system to be turned off you need to hold down the power button for 10 seconds).
Some people have thought there system was turned off, and wouldn't turn on, but in quite a few cases the system was in deep sleep. Some people who have thought there system was dead, and not charging have found that it was actually charged but not reported correctly by the charger light and had either entered deep sleep or crashed.
After the system is turned off (by holding down the power button for 10 seconds) you're supposed to wait 10 seconds (not pressing anything) before attempting to power the system on again. Most people only need to press the power button once to get the system back on again, but a few have had to hold the volume up button while pressing power then release the power button (while still holding volume up) to enter recovery mode.
Unless you use (or plan to use) root for your applications I recommend you update to the 2.0.71 firmware Archos released on December 16th since it fixes quite a few bugs that existed in the 2.0.54 firmware.
I have the 70 and in the very cold weather in the UK recently I've noticed that it needs to be warm in order to charge. Put it close to a heater for half an hour or so and then plug in the charger. It charges best in Deep Sleep and Aircraft modes.

Hello.
I buy this tablet 10.1" Google Android 4.03 Tablet PC 8GB 1GB DDR3 HDMI Bundle 10" Keyboard from e-bay for my son but the tablet is not working. It charges normally, but when I press the "power on" button, it turns on, it appears the word "ANDROID" in a black image and nothing more. I also tried the "reset" key. It turned off but when I turn it on, it does the same again.
Is there anything to do for this problem ?
Can someone help me?

Enyboby for help please?
Try taking the battery out of the tablet, putting it back in and turning it back on. Otherwise I'd take it in.
Hi,
I have a CNM Touchpad 9 dual core 9" Android 4.1 which was working fine before, it use to charge, i've had it for a couple of months and not been used, however when i try and charge it now it seems to be dead. However when you plug in the charger and then keep hold of the power button, the tablet responds and shows the CNM logo on the tablet but as soon as you take your finger off the power button the tablet is non responsive. It's made in China the tablet if that helps. Any ideas what i can do to power it up? It cannot have completely shutdown for good.
Any help/guidance would massively be appreciated.
Thanks

I have a jiayu G3 with the needrom android 4.1.2 ROM, I wanted to give it to my son and thought factory reset is a good idea...I left the phone to it, it rebooted and the little robot was busy. When I cam back all that was on the screen was the JIAYU logo, the bootloop and the battery was close to empty although it was connected to a charger. I can get in to the factory settings by pressing the volume down and power button. I can switch between the different modes but I can not chose any of them, the power button just seems not to work. I tried all sorts, connected to a charger, to a computer (Mac) , makes no difference at all, can anybody give me a tip where to take it from here? 2 hours ago it was a (nearly) perfectly working phone, now just a paperweight....
Cheers
Jo

:good:
I would try opening and checking all cable connections. And, also, cut the red battery wire. Press power button to discharge all components. Leave it one night. Fix the cutted wire, and plug on charger. Wait 10 minutes at least, to charge the battery. Press power button, again and again and keep pressing, it will late a little, and will work. This is how I fixed mine... :fingers-crossed:
