g925f "camera has stopped" - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have a problem with my s6 edge. When I'm trying to use camera it doesn't start, just pop "unfortunatelly camera has stopped".
I had some problems with this phone, couldnt flash software, when finally flash newest software (6.x.x) I had a DRK problem, to fix it I flashed kernel Kernel_G925F_fix_DRK_error.tar, after that everything is working fine except camera. I tried to flash several stock roms, then custom (XtreStoLite) but camera is still not working. anyone know how to fix it?

[Q] Galaxy SIII GT-9300 Camera Failure with Stock ROM?

Hello everyone!
Today I noticed that my camera stopped working on my new Galaxy SIII. I always get a "warning: camera failure" error when I try to start the camera app. I dialed *#0*# to test the cameras seperately, but both megacam and frontcam give me the "camera failure" error.
I bought the phone with 4.1.2, rooted it with Chainfire's CF-Auto-Root, flashed CWM recovery and everything worked fine. After some weeks I got the Kies update to 4.3.0 and updated via Kies. After this, the camera still worked. My root access got lost due to the firmware update, so I tried to re-root it again with the same CF-Auto-Root via Odin. Odin said nothing succeeded but also nothing failed, so I thought it didn't do anything. Well, it did flash the stock revovery again, but my phone didn't leave the download mode automatically after flashing, so I rebooted into recovery mode (because of a notice on Chainfire's website) and rebooted normally from there.
All this happened yesterday and today I noticed my camera doesn't work, so I thought the reason could be something concerning the semi-failed root procedure. Maybe anyone of you can help me fix my camera.
I searched the internet for a solution, but they say it's a hardware problem, which is probably not the case for my device in my opinion.
Thanks in advance!

Flash a full stock rom with odin after a factory reset, test camera before you install/restore any apps or mods.
If still the same then hardware fault.

[Q] Back Camera Hangs

Back camera hangs most of the time; it works sometimes but most of the time it freezes and FC itself saying "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped." Front camera always works fine.
The back camera wont FC itself all the time, sometimes it just stays black (with all the buttons and interface working), and sometimes it stays with a freezed image of what the camera sees (also with the interface ok).
I've tried full wipes, I've flashed different roms, with different kernels; cleaned the camera's cache and data; tried the "Restart Camera" solution/workaround; I've even tried to "tap the camera hard" as some people has suggested.
What I haven't done is flashing stock rom, since I consider it won't be of any help (But if you advise me to, I'll do it). And I haven't tried Roms that are not 4.4.4
I'm currently using AICP Rom (4.4.4)
Sorry for any typo.

Hi, thanks for replying. I've lost count of how many, but as I remember, they all were KK Custom Roms, the ones I remember I've tried are AOKP, CM11, and AICP.
It started since... I don't even remember, it has been so long, I just hadn't been able to try to fix it, untill now.
I flashed the stock JB ROM and it fixed it. So I thought that there were corrupted files and since I have them now, I was going to work again if I flashed the AICP ROM back... but nope, it has the same issue.
I'll flash a JB Custom Rom (Probably CM10.2) to see what happens.
Update: I flashed a JB Custom Rom (Fusion Rom) and the camera is working good so far.
But still not working in KK.

[Q] Kyocera Brigadier camera problem

Hi all, have another two Kyocera brigadier come to me with camera problem. One is rooted and another one is unrooted.
But they have the same error when using camera "unable to launch camera application". Tried google camera and its said "cannot connect to camera"
All phones have this problem suddenly.
Anyone have the same problems? All I can think is reflash the firmware but there's no oem rom for this handheld.
Thanks
Wipe cache and see, if doesn't work then perform a wipe data
Did that already. But the problem still persists.

S3 Camera i9300

I firstly installed cyangoenmod 12.1 after the camera has stopped working bug i installed cm camera fix from google play but that didn't worked and the camera that sometimes worked had now completely stopped. Now i flashed stock rom and the camera started working but when i flashed cm again it stopped again after sometime then i flashed back to stock but this time it didn't work some times it would say "Unknown error occured" or sometimes the errorcallback error. Now when i flashed MIUI the camera worked but after a snap it stopped and crashed and when i launched it again it sayed camera not responding. Please help me
1. It's probably caused by various hardware. In the worst case you've to go back to any JB-TW based ROM.
2. The fixes mostly work as follows: flash ROM, start camera once and take a photo, return to recovery and flash fix.
3. Try this camera, suitable till LP.

Which fix can you provide the link?
@twitwimp: there's no witchy fix. Take the one, advised&made for the ROM, you use.
@twitwimp: for CM13-based ROMs I found this fix. Worth to try.

Camera Not Working after Kernal+ROOT Installation :(

Hey there, just needing some help on fixing my camera issue... All was perfectly fine front and rear camera until flashing my SM-G965F and installing the Magisk 17.2 ROOT (all was very successful and stable btw as I've done this many times on multiple devices) and when I went to use my camera it failed to work saying something about it couldn't start up the camera service :/... Is there a fix for this or would I just have to revert back to stock firmware of the phone in order to use it again?
Cheers.
