S Health ios official version crashed - Samsung Gear Fit

I managed to pair my gear fit2 with the official ios app, notification working fine but S Health always crash when opening my walking or running data.
Anyone manage to see walking or running activity data using ios app?

Is this fixed now? Can you view your maps after a workout (on the Gear or on iPhone)?
Planning of buying the Gear Fit 2.

I had this problem before but it got fixed for my in the update that was about a month ago

S Health 3.5 app finally available to older Samsung phones

Today while fiddling my non-functional Fitness for Gear app on my old Galaxy S3, I got a notification that an update is available to replace this ancient app. What I finally got is S Health 3.5 (the version that so far only available to GS5/Note4/Alpha officially). Briefly checked out the sync with my Gear S, it seems work perfectly with everything synced.
FYI, I'm using an AT&T version of GS3 with stock 4.4.2 ROM.
It broke my old S-Health and now just force closes when I try to open it.
Yep. My Note 3 got the update this morning too.
It pulled all the existing data off my Gear S, which is good.
Yep - updates to gear manager, s health, and the sync service... all my data now on my phone. Very very awesome. Now we just need an update to the Email app so we can reply/compose emails on the watch.

Gear S doesn't heart iHeartRadio

iHeartRadio is not to be found among available apps in the Gear S manager, but when I install it on my Galaxy S5 via Google Play:
1) iHeartRadio sees that I have a connected Gear device
2) proceeds to try to install iHeartRadio on my Gear S
3) generates an error message about failing to install the app on my Gear S
4) proceeds to remove the app (!) from my Galaxy S5.
Both devices were configured to allow for external installs. I'm guessing Samsung wants to retain exclusivity for Milk, but I hope it doesn't mean they will also be blocking the release of TuneIn. I'm more of a news guy than a music guy, and I'd really love to see a streaming radio app land for the Gear S. Right now I'm making do by copying news podcasts over to my watch, but that's a pain.

Hm. Can you run a logcat on your phone?
Me too, have the same issue. Not sure if samsung is blocking it or if iHeartRadio is trying to install a version that is not compatible with Gear S (Gear 2?? - http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer...ar-2-and-gear-2-neo-smartwatches-is-available), as a result pulling off both the mobile/ watch installations!!

I ran the logcat. The only thing that stands out is:
W/ResourceType(21464): Invalid package identifier when getting bag for resource number 0xffffffff

Can you add a little more? Need some context.
I installed the I heart app via Amazon app store on my note 4 and so far it seems to be ok. I didn't receive an error message after install and the gear manager didn't uninstall it. I will test this out for a day or two and let you all know if i run in to anything.
Ditto I installed iHeart from Amazon app store it stayed I do not have a iheart on my Gear S though not sure if I was supposed to have one or not
This is why I love forums. Thank you so much for the info. This worked.

I installed the Iheart app from the Amazon store, and it didn't install anything on my Gear S. Is there something I'm missing?
Is it still not working?
There is currently no fix for the gear 2, the app will only work on you phone at this time. I heart is aware of the issues and is working with samsung to get this issue fixed. Hope this helps.
I was able to succesfully install iheart on my Note 3 and Gear 2, when the Gear 2 came out. But on my Note 4 and Gear S, no success. Only option now is like whats already mentioned. And thats installing it through Amazon app store. That also wont install the watch app. But as a work around, you can use the media player on the Gear S to control the volume, skip songs, and pause/play.

Gear manager update broke Gear connection

Hi,
After the last update for Gear Manager (october 3, 2015 for me) my Gear S do not connect on my S4. Just previous day all is right. All broken after update. Same for my Gear 2 and my Gear 1. Trying to reset the Gear 2 but same issue.
Trying restoring previous backup and when launched the manager download automatically an update and after Samsung Manager app delete all my phone app with a Gear part. So delete :
- Wrist List (shopping list for phone and a part on Gear)
- Todo Gear
- Any list
- My Notes in Gear
- Gear notes
- GearTask
Counter for Gear
Samsung uninstalled all this app from my phone. So no watch and lost also android phone app, totally incredible, thank you Samsung.
Any one with issue after update ?
Same with me. My note 4 got ota 5.1.1 and update latest gear manager. Now it wont connect to my gear s.
been a week not works, remains only 51 weeks to wait
With Nexus 5, I uncheck auto update from Play Store, uninstall app from Titanium Backup then install old version and it works.
With Note 3 no problem (but Note 3 is simlock :/)
Gear Manager is not a PlayStore app
but even after a restore of an old app it not works again.
On "Galaxy Apps" I have the "Auto Update" unchecked but even with this when youn launc Gear Manager it start an update automatically.
You have a Samsung mobile, on other devices you can see it on PlayStore.
No problem with new Gear Manager on Samsung phone/tab?

Gear S and also Gear 1&2 are only compatible with some (not all) Samsung device
Sadly I have the same issue after a forced update of gear manager app. Note 4 doesn't connect anymore to my gear S... I tried to un install the app from phone but it's not working. I made a wipe cache partition via recovery it's not working too...
Anybody is having the same issue than us ?
Help would be appreciated
Nothing new. I tried to uninstall all samsung modules and reinstall all from Galaxy Apps Store, factory reset my Gear 2, launch manager, it found and pair the Gear 2 but when it start the manager connection it was unable to connect the Gear, it stuck on "Connect...." screen......
Incredible that Samsung phone can not connect to Samsung watch
We must wait maybe one year before Samsung correct this issue, but probably not have a Samsung phone or watch in 1 year
Has anyone found a fix for this yet? I'm currently experiencing this issue as well.
Simplest best answer, sell all your samsung stuff (phone too) and get a LG (phone) and Urbane 2.
Problem solved no more Shady Shenanigans from Samsung breaking their sh!t just in time for the release of the S2 and trying to force users into a unwanted upgrade.
Forget this having to wait 51 weeks for them to fix a problem they caused and created, as big of a company as they are they should fix it immediately, but they DGAF about it or the customers.
More power to LG!

Samsung's now used planned obsolescence card.
I can't believe I used to think so highly of this lowly company and recommend them to everyone who asked.

Spotify on Gear fit 2

The gear fit 2 was advertised to have Spotify, however, there doesn't seem to be an option on the Nexus 6. Is a Samsung device required to install the Spotify app? Does anyone have an apk that I can try to manually install?
Hi, same problem here, I have a Galaxy S7. I assumed it was a downloadable app but only available to the markets where the watch has been released (I'm in the uk)

Same problem (Belgium). I thought perhaps it was related to me not having a premium spotify account. If it is region related, I can try to fake the region on my rooted device. Let's see if that works...

well for now it works in US, and not in EU and elswhere.
rumour has it that this is not a firmware ****up but a license issue on... Spotify end
I bought my today - specially for Spotify! And now I'm relly confused: to wait or return gear fit 2 to store... Shame for Samsung! (Store in Poland)
I downloaded the update today and the Spotify app is now there to download!
What country (region) and what is the update number
... and update for what have you downloaded ?

I think it was just a Samsung Gear application update. Within Samsung Gear, in the Essentials tab, Spotify for Gear Fit2 now shows up. I am in the US on a Nexus 6.
I received a push notification that there was an update for my Gear Fit2. I clicked that and it ran all the updates.
My current Samsung Gear version is version 2.2.16051141
The software version of my Gear Fit 2 is R360XXU1APE4

Hi. I'd like to know if it's possible to download playlists onto the gear fit 2, as long as you are a premium user, in order to play them without the mobile phone.
Thanks

Do you see more apps than spotify? Alarm clock, more watch faces, etc?
I've got the same phone, same sw version and same gear, but I'm in europe and i've got neither spotify nor anything else.. I haven't heard back from customer service in regards to spotify rollout either.

how do you know???
Just discovered something about the Spotify integration
Have had my Gear Fit 2 for about 10 days now (US) and have been using the Spotify integration to control music on my phone (LG G4) when I am listening to music at work. I'm off from work today, and discovered there must be a Spotify integration between my PC and my phone. So I can control the playing of Spotify on my PC with the Gear Fit 2. Nice bonus
Guess I spoke too soon. Not consistent. I could see the song playing and could advance to the next song, or go back. But then when I tried to stop the song, it wouldn't Oh well.

Gear S + Pixel XL

Reposting this in a separate new thread after also posting in the sticky tutorial for others searching on google how to get the Pixel to work with the Gear S.
"I have a Pixel XL and tried to use the above steps to connect my Gear S to the phone.
When I try to install "Samsung Gear_com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager_2.2.14100299_2114100299" the phone says it is corrupt and cannot be installed.
When the gear manager is launched, it cannot find the watch at all. But using the regular bluetooth connection method from androids bluetooth settings does allow me to connect it to the phone. But manager still does not detect/activate the watch...
Please help! I have gotten way too used to the watch to get along without it..."
I was able to download and install gear manager from play store without any issues. Still doesn't connect to my gear s though. Says it can't find, even when I reset the watch. I need help to. Don't want to return my pixel, but love my gear s

The Gear Manager which you downloaded from Play Store does not connect to Gear S. It only works with Gear S2. This has been confirmed by Samsung that Gear S can only connect to a Samsung phone. Currently I'm using a spare Galaxy Note 3 to synchronise with Gear S for S Health tracking.

Tested on my xperia Z5C and not see also works with my Fit2. So we must wait for an update ....
I am going through the same issue, and after spending eternity with high level techs on the phone and in person at a Samsung store, I found that the answer lies in the Gear S. The last firmware update for the watch was early this year, and the watch itself cannot communicate with Nougat. Even though Gear Manager will communicate with Nougat. Right now we are at the mercy of Samsung to update the Firmware for a 3 year old device, that has been replaced by 2 generations...
