hi,
i want to "factory reset" my Xperia Z3c but want to keep using the current non-stock ROM (slimm), what should i do?
should i flash the whole ROM (using flashtool or recovery mode?),
or just flash the same version of OTA package in recovery? (i can't find recovery in 6.0.1, i'm quite new to 6.0.1)

mokee failed too.

the phone is already unlocked?
How to install the custome rom without stucking in rom logo.
I solved this issue yesterday
The short answer is that you have to flash CM11 (official or unofficial, doesnt matter) over the original stock ROM first. In your case, reboot into your custom recovery (I used TWRP 2.7.1.0), and do a factory reset first. THEN, flash CM 11.
Once you let the phone boot for the first time, reboot into TWRP, factory reset, and then flash the CM 12.1 nightly.
Instructions
Make sure that your SM-G850W has the Lollipop bootloader and modem (The last installed stock ROM must be 5.0.2).
Flash TWRP recovery via Odin.
Boot to TWRP recovery (Vol UP + Home + Power).
Optional: Do nandroid backup
Wipe data / Factory Reset
Install the ROM (CM zip).
Install the Google Apps.
After you wipe the data
how exactly do you install the ROM (CM zip))
Do i do it via Odin?
Just need clarification on that step...
After you install twrp, you can make backups and also install software.
As suggested you better make a backup in TWRP it's called a nandroid backup. After that you have to do a factory reset, thats the wipe in TWRP. Then you can go to the install button, and choose the rom.zip. For Cyanogenmod you also need to install Gapps, because its not included in ROM.
But to be clear: everything is in TWRP.
hi everybody.
my phone is booting every time. with odin i installed already twrp and cwm. with twrp I can just see the logo and then the phone is booting again. with cwm, i am able to see the menu but when i try to wipe the phone, the phone starts to boot again.
i installed cyanogenmod via adb but the phone is not starting android.
the last chance i have is to hope that someone of you have a solution.
i uploaded a video to show you what i mean.

Have you tried flashing a stock ROM?
yes. but it is still in the loop.
Flashing in Odin was successful?
After flashing the stock ROM, did you perform a factory wipe before booting for the first time?
thats not possible. i can boot to the clockworkmod recovery but if i choose the option "wipe data/factory reset" the recovery will be closed and the smartphone boots again and open the recovery.
1, download mode and flash an official stock rom (one package) via odin. Make sure it is for your device specifically.
2, Boot to official stock recovery and wipe data/factory reset. If the phone reboots after this you need to be prepared to key combo to download mode BEFORE it boots android.
3, Flash the official stock rom again.
All remnants of any previous roms will be gone and you should have a booting phone.

It worked with the stock recovery. Now I was able to install cyanogenmod. Thank you very much!!!
Hello
I have a problem with my Tablet Z LTE (pollux) recovery. If i flash for instance TWRP 3.0.2.0. (or any other version for that matter (including dualrecovery)) then i can't boot into the rom i installed (no matter what version).
I only got the TWRP recovery and can only boot into recovery when i flash it. Then i can install whatever rom (in this case RR 6) and the rom works fine.
Now the problem is that i can't get back to the TWRP recovery but only the recovery i have added in this thread.
Things i have tried:
Xperia Companion flash and reset with newest firmware
EMMA flash and reset with newest firmware
Flashtool 4.3 rom
Both versions of RR
Dualrecovery
All versions of TWRP i can find
I have cleared every cache, data, whatever else multiple times.
Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
You need to flash recovery to FOTApartition for it to become permanent.

Like what title says.
Can't factory reset from android settings or wipe via TWRP directly either, gets stuck and just shuts down.
Custom ROM pixel experience.
TWRP version in the video.
Thanks.
I assume your bootloader is unlocked, so flash stock ROM with MiFlash, then your wanted custom ROM.
Just always make sure you have a working TWRP/OFox/PBRP...
