Can you tell me how to do that? i'm noob
To enable developer options you have to go to Settings =>About phone and hit the build number 7 times to unlock the hidden menu. In the developer options menu you can enable root access.
Or you can install SuperSu flashing the .zip file under recovery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64161125&postcount=3

If you set root access to Apps and ADB you don't need to install also SuperSU. SuperSu has some advantages but the other method should be enough.

Hello!
I´ve got a small problem here when trying to root:
upon following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-3/development/redmi-3-pro-spacex-rom-t3406919
and installing the newest chinese developer ROM there´s this step:
5. In order not to end up with bootloop you got to active China Dev ROM root @ Security app > Permissions > Root
All I see is shown below
http://imageshack.com/a/img923/5720/q5l54n.png
Screenshot of system info, running the newest rom
http://imageshack.com/a/img921/4528/qlp9O0.png
Am i doing something wrong? When I try the adb command "adb root" it says it cant run in production builds.
Thanks for any help

Unfortunately the ROM doesn't support fingeprint sensor, which is a feature I really want to use, but thanks for recommending.
I had recently upgrade my s3 using TWRP recovery from 4.4 to 7.1 lineage os
But I am facing problem with rooting.
I am not able to root my device from
1)TWRP recovery
2)Odin(CF Auto Root)
3)Kingroot(Android and PC )
I have installed TWRP properly
PLz give an idea to root my device
I have checked in developer option
That is ROOT ACCESS
Their is 2 Option only
1)Disable
2)Adb only
But I am not able to get root access any of this Or Adb only
Previously I tried with different ROM
Their is option of
1)disabled
2)Apps only
3)Adb only.
4)apps and Adb
But in this ROM I am not able to find suggest me any way to fix this
I installd 4 time s same ROM to get this root access but failed
Check below screenshot
In SuperSU application
No su binary installed
https://dropfile.to/bRO4jKc
https://dropfile.to/MMWxWrp
As far as I'm aware the rom should be pre rooted and all you'll need to do is install supersu from googleplay and then update the su binaries from within the supersu app.
Set it to option 4 (apps and abd) and go about installing supersu first as the app from googleplay and if no joy then as a flashable zip file.

Are you sure you flashed the correct addonsu???
As far as i remember, the s3 doesn't have 64x, flash the normal arm version (arm32x).
Bro i have tried to flash ARM AND ARM X86 but it says
update failed in twrp recovery
So i flashed with x64
It was done but not worked properly

Thank you!!!
That worked for me.

It works, you will get an error in recovery, but when you boot, you will get root access normally, i don't why the error happens, but it's harmless anyway.
Root fix
I'm not sure if you have fixed it yet but just in case if this helps the way I got around this is by simply downloading the latest super su zip from the official site and manually flashing via twrp kinda sucks but it works the first boot took a little though so if you try this and it takes forever for your device to not just wait because it can take up to 15 min the first time. So basically as long as you have twrp you are rooted technically it's just based on the rom wether they chose to support it if not the zip always works but you need the app too.

S3 has arm32. So neither x86 not x64 would work. You should've flashed addonsu.zip for 32.

I tried a method of rooting of v3 to downgrade to PD1524F_EX_A_1.8.20 version and using kingroot app. It worked fine but after that when I updated to latest rooting failing. Is there any working method to root v3 in latest firmware.

I have also been finding a way around...
But on 1.8.20 update everything is stable for me.
Supersu(replaced kingo root),Xposed framework, gravitybox and other advanced root actions work fine without bootloops or autoshutdowns.
I have used lots of devices with root but vivo v3 is the most stable of them all.
Also managed to get Google Assistant through a xposed module.

How did you do that replacing kinguser to supersu. I tried but it didn't work for me. And I tried to change the bootloader status from locked to unlocked. This method also failed. While connecting device to PC or laptop in adb mode(bootloader mode), it doesn't detected in system. What should I do.

You need to enable USB debugging.
Settings->Developer Options->USB Debugging
If you have done the part described above you need to update the drivers. I suggest Koush Universal ADB driver, download it from koushikdatta.com

I used this method. Hit the like button if i helped.?
And i suggest to stay on the current stock recovery so u can flash the stock framework anytime if anything goes wrong... And i have'nt found any custom rom for this device so custom recovery is pointless. And yes i haven't tried custom recovery on this device. I m planning to do soon after the festivals are over.
Why don't you try Kingo Superuser instead of SuperSU?
I found it better than SuperSU.

Play store never gave such a message about Kingo.
Check your Play Store settings, there would be an option to disable the message.
Hi dude, please try this method to install twrp recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/-t3658654
after this in recovery mode -> advanced wipe & check all except internal memory, external memory & any usb storage -> wipe
after that again boot into bootloader & flash stock recovery (available in the above link)
now boot into recovery install PD1524F_EX_A_1.8.20 or updated by downloading from vivo firmware site after that remember to
Code:
fastboot bbk lock_vivo

Wait a minute. You have enabled Developer options or not?
If you didn’t see the Developer options on your Settings menu, then go to About phone > Build number, and click on “Build number” about ten times to activate “Developer options” on your device.
Then you will find the Developer options menu. Usually there should be many options, such as USB debugging and OEM unlock.
If you have developer options, but no option for OEM unlock, please post a screenshot.

Yes, have rooted several of them (A21S) and US Models). Also the A21 (which has a different processor and completly different than A21S Using a token and Magisk, modify the AP of the firmware using magic. Flash to AP slot with all other firmware files. reboot into dl mode again, flash blank vbmeta or disabled-vbmeta, then reboot into dl again, flash twrp, reboot again and hold +vol and power- flash the magisk stuff to lock in the firmware and decrypt ther partitions, wipe + clear cache, reboot wait a while for installer to install driod OS, the log into the device and finish the magisk install if needed.
