Hi everyone!
I recently bought a LG V10 h961n from eBay. I had no interest in root, so I updated it to marshmallow. However, I encountered huge wi-fi connectivity problems: the phone would connect to WiFi, but only really close to the router, and the latency was unexplainable high. The only workaround I have have found was a guide posted here in XDA which required root.
So, I started digging and I found a tot file of lollipop already rooted. I downloaded the kdz for lollipop hoping to downgrade using lgup and/or flash tool. All the flashing end with a 0x2000 error code in lgup and a "contact your system administrator" error on flash tool.
Now,the phone is stuck into download mode whatever button I press: power to boot normally, power+volume down or up.
The only combination working differently is volume up+down+power that bring me to the IMEI.
In the end, i was hoping that someone was able to find a solution. I really love this phone, and I would really feel bad if I had to throw it away and buy another one.
Thank you in advance.

It is, but it keeps rebooting over and over until I unplug it...
Solved, just kept trying to connect to lg bridge. In the end it detected my phone and installed the os by clicking on "update error recovery". Hope you'll solve too!

First of all, I apologize for having uploaded all the figures of my post in the "figure.zip" attachment, but I was not able to insert them as separate figures using the "insert image" function. I am a new user and perhaps I am not allowed to use this function.
I am not able to recover from a "soft brick" due to an aborted flash of a stock ROM. Here is the story.
I started working with this LG phone:
Model: L9 P760 (Vodafone brand)
OS Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (it was previously updated form ICS through the official upgrade from LG)
SW Version: P760 20d-262-02
Kernel: 3.0.31
Build: JZ054K
Baseband: L626_MODEM_SIC_01.1230.00
My goal was to re flash with another JB stock ROM, so upgrading its release and getting an unbranded phone.
I downloaded this stock ROM kdz file: V20H_00.kdz
Then I tried to flash with a procedure derived from this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
The main difference was related to the fact that I did not put the smartphone in S/W Upgrade status at the beginning, I connected it to USB port when it was power on and set the PhoneMode to "DIAG" instead of "EMERGENCY". The phone went in "S/W Upgrade" mode during the flash procedure.
I worked on my laptop, the operating system is Windows 7 Professional, SP1 64 bit.
A problem occurred during the update: the LG Mobile Support Tool crashed and the phone remained in "S/W upgrade" status. I restarted the LG Mobile Support Tool, but I was not able to make it continue the update. Then I disconnected the phone from USB and removed the battery. When I re inserted the battery the phone did not boot anymore.
Now my LG L9 P760 does not start pushing the normal power on button.
It does not make a factory reset if I push Power on, home and vol- buttons
There are no any combination of buttons I can start for having any reaction from my LG L9.
Then, I tried to recover from this "soft brick" status in the way I describe hereunder.
1) I removed everything related to LG from my laptop (LG Mobile tool -including LGMOBILEAX directory under C:\ProgramData- and LG drivers)
2) I installed the following LG SW:
LG drivers, rel. 3.11.3, from a file named: LGUnitedMobileDriver_S50MAN311AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.11.3.exe
LG Mobile Support Tool rel. 1.7.3.0, installed through this program: B2CAppSetup.exe, running in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. From file properties , tab "details" I read this B2CAppSetup.exe is ver. 1.0.1.7.
3) I connected the smartphone to my laptop through the USB cable. After about 10 - 15 seconds it went in SW upgrade mode. At least, I see "S/W Upgrade - Please Wait while upgrading...." on the LG L9 screen. BTW, that occurs every time I connect the smartphone to my PC, in any cases: removing the battery or not removing it, pressing or not the vol+ button... In any cases it goes in that state.
Before connecting the smartphone, this is what Device manager showed:
[pls see devManager-phoneNotConnected.PNG in figure.zip]
After I connected the smartphone through USB, this is what Device Manager displayed:
[pls see devManager-phoneConnected.PNG in figure.zip]
Without starting the LG Mobile Support Tool I saw that after some minutes its display did not show the "S/W upgrade" message anymore, nothing was displayed. And after about 10 seconds the "S/W Upgrade.." message came back again. It is like the smartphone tried to connect to some applications running on the laptop, but did not find any process there, then it retried, and so on.
When the LG display was black, the Device manager output was like it was before connecting the smartphone to USB port. When "S/W Upgrade..." came back on the LG display, LG devices came back on Device Manager output.
4) At this point, when "S/W Upgrade.." was displayed on LG I started the LG Mobile Support Tool. It seemed it was able to recognize my smartphone, as I saw this output.
[pls see LG_MobileSupportTool-start.PNG in figure.zip]
But waiting for 1 or few minutes without doing anything the "S/W upgrade..." message disappeared on my LG display and LG Mobile Support Tool showed this output:
[pls see LG_MobileSupportTool-start01.PNG in figure.zip]
It was like the connection between the smartphone and the LG Mobile Support Tool could not be kept, or was not stable.
5) Anyway, when the connection seemed to be ok I selected the choice "Upgrade Recovery" under "Options" menu choice, and the recovery procedure started. This is the sequence output I saw on the LG Mobile Support Display:
[pls see LG_MobileSupportTool-start02.PNG in figure.zip]
[pls see LG_MobileSupportTool-start03.PNG in figure.zip]
[pls see LG_MobileSupportTool-start04.PNG in figure.zip]
But during the "Upgrading your phone..." phase, the process was always blocked at 15% of its execution (it remained at 15% for a relatively long time, let's say 2 or 3 minutes) and I read this output:
[pls see LG_MobileSupportTool-start05.PNG in figure.zip]
Now, if I retry the procedure (with or without disconnecting the phone, removing the battery and so on and the reconnecting) I get this message if I push the "retry" button when the LG display is black.
[pls see LG_MobileSupportTool-start06.PNG in figure.zip]
Otherwise, If LG display indicates "S/W Upgrade..." the procedure restarts, but always with the same result: it aborts at 15% of progress, and LG Mobile Support Tool shows the same error:
I tried a lot of alternatives avoiding to download the ROM image online from LG site. I tried the procedures I found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344 and also here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190, where I found an interesting and more recent tool for an off line KDZ flash.
I tried to flash a couple of diferent KDZs: v20c_00.kdz -ICS- and V20H_00.kdz (JB) but always the procedure was aborted during the update.
I believe my problem should be related to 3 main factors:
Some issues on LG drivers, also if somehow my phone is detected by LG Mobile Support Tool, when I connect it via USB cable.
Some issues with the LG tools I use (or perhaps I do not configure everything needed in the right way, or perhaps there are issues with Windows 7 64 bit)
Some issues with the kdz I use. Perhaps I could adopt some othe stock ROMs (also if I have already tried with 2 different KDZ).
I tried these procedure using other PCs, another Win 7 64 bit and an XP SP3 32 bit, but basically the problem is always the same: the recovery / flash procedure is aborted at 15% of its progress.
Who could give me any advices on what could be the reason of this fault, and on what procedure I could do?
I have not tried anything related to adb or fastboot till now, as in my opinion my issue should not require these tools in order to be solved. I mean, my LG L9 easily goes in "S/W Upgrade.." mode, so it does not seem the problem is related to a boot loop status. Anyway, could a flash via fastboot solve my issue?
Pls help me, I can give you every additional details it could be useful...
Thank you in advance!
Ciao
Mauro

TY BajoPrimate, that thread gives me a hope!
But I still need your help. I tried that procedure, and I got an error very similar to the others described there: download failed after 6 sec..... So I tried to download the bin image for P760 that you indicated here, but the URL "http://uploaded.net/f/xh3dqq " seems to be not reachable anymore....
Where could I find a binary image to flash for my P760?
Do you want me to describe the error I got in a post on that thread? Of course I'll do if that is more correct in your opinion.
TY very much in advance!

Mauro
Hi Rosso Corsa, you're welcome.
The download link works fine for me.
Try again from your computer or with another browser (i. e. dolphin).
Cheers. Good luck.

BajoPrimate, ty for your support.
I tried do get to this address:
uploaded.net/f/xh3dqq
And also to this one (after having seen the image you posted in your last append:
uploaded.net/file/j32p8p7y/from/xh3dqq
but in both the cases I got a "Unable to connect" message.
I tried from my laptop with Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome, getting always the same result.
Do you know what I could try to get this bin image?
On alternative, do you know any other address where I could find a bin image for my LG P760?
It seems the tool for getting a bin image from kdz is not running correctly. At least I got the same error messages others indicated....
TY very much!

with 9008 he means qhsusb_bulk. The drivers you will need are from Qualcomm, once BoardDiag files for G5 are public.
were the boarddiag files ever made public?
Facing the Same problem
I am now facing the above mentioned problem. My g5 h850 doesn't do anything and the only sign of life there is when i connect it to my PC and it picks up as Qualcom hs- usb Qdloader 9008 other than that no display no sound from the handset whatsoever tried getting it into download mode but it won't show anything. I installed all the drivers and tried connecting with lg up but it doesn't pick the phone on any com ports. Is my phone completely damaged or can I do something to bring it back to life. Please help someone
qfil with firehose or octoplus may solve your problem

QFIL needs PrimaryGPT_0.bin file through firmware extractor but no matter what stock firmware i extract I get multiple patch files like PrimaryGPT_0.bin, PrimaryGPT_1.bin, PrimaryGPT_2.bin, PrimaryGPT_3.bin .......PrimaryGPT_7.bin and when I try to get them through emmc it won't recognize any of the GPT files. That's the step where I am stuck plus I can't seem to find the mbn file for H850
I have lg v20, I too hardbricked my phone, when I extract any kdz I got 7 gpt files. primarygpt0 to primarygpt06 as you said.
are you sure we only need primargpt0 to flash via qfil? i think we need proper firehose/ programmer file and rawprogram file
Maybe I hard bricked mine:
Flashed with uppercut in download mode but with every KDZ file in UPGRADE mode I tried , after the second lg logo with sound of wellcome, it freeze and reboot over and over, it seems that crushes in infinite bootloop. Is this hard bricked?
no, this is not hardbricked. atleast you can enter into download mode.

Hi . I I would like to know did you slove your problem ? If yes then what you did plz let me know I’m having same problem with my lgh850.
I was running a MarshMallow update for the last 6 months and suddenly today morning I just decided to flash the "rootedsystemh960a.tot" from one of the forums here at XDA. First it did flashed the ROM using LGUP but then the Phone was stuck with LG LOGO for minutes and then I flashed it again with my stock UAE MM 6.0 ROM. It did work. Then I reflashed again hoping for the ROOTED ROM to work on my phone and ever since LGUP is giving me this error code with a message " lgup error code 0x2000 invalid command response" and it keeps crashing. Now I have tried to switch windows and tried to flash many ROMs and it wont stand a chance. Why this error message is coming? Can anyone of you experts figure this out? Even the COM ports are matching at LGUP and in my DEVICE MANAGER. Please help me. I am stuck with this mobile. ...:crying:
Little info about my phone. It is a UAE/DUBAI Variant of LG V10 - H960A, and officially I am not allowed to unlock my BOOTLOADER by the LGE itself. I had tried before bootloader unlock modes.. Anyways its not the point here right now.. The main thing is LGUP is crashing again and again.. Is there any other utility in place of LGUP for flashing LG ROMS ????
Well that .tot file was for Lollipop only that was your mistake in this probably and it has corrupted your system somehow. I'm afraid I have no idea how to deal with this phone as I don't modify this one myself because of the lack of development/devs.
I think there is something called LGFlashTool also.

Hi,
can you enter the download mode on your V10? Then it might be possible to flash a clean (unrooted) MM via LG Bridge. Some time ago I tried to install the latest MM Version V20e on my V10 with LGUP. For some reason that failed and left me with a phone without ROM, too. Afterwards the V10 was not recognized by LGUP anymore.
Luckily I was still able to enter the download mode manually. So I connected the phone to my PC and started LG Bridge which still did recognize it as a V10 H960a. So selecting Firmware update and then clicking in the bottom right corner of the window on a link saying something like "repair flash errors" or "repair update errors" (I'm currently at work and cannot check) did a complete clean install of the latest firmware.
Maybe you're lucky and this works for you too.

Well hello, I found the solution for my problem and I was able to flash the ROM successfully. Its some kind of new utility amalagamated with LGUP and it does flash without any problems. Found out it was related to some corrupt dll file or incompatible file I had in my LGUP library for the ROM FLASHING to fail all the time... You just read this first post on this link and you will be all fine. Trust me ...:highfive::good::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295
Just dont forget to follow the rules exactly as mentioned and if you can run it in the Virtual Machine I would prefer you to do that but you have to do everything like installing LG DRIVERS + LGUP + LGUP DLL FILE + UPPERCUT as mentioned in this post. Because if you are running antivirus on your PC, it will detect this UPPERCUT TOOL as some trojan horse or some kind of malware. I did that in my VM as I already had my VM configured for my LG V10 Flashing process.
Do it and do let me know should you encounter any problem. May be I can help later on.
I have a LG K7 MS330 whose software was not working properly. Looking for a solution, I found that there were several firmware updates of this terminal (I had the version 10e compilation), which basically consisted of more recent versions of compilation distributed in kdz files. I proposed to download the latest update available ensuring I download the file corresponding to the smartphone region (MTP in my case).
So, I downloaded the file MS33010k_00_0405.kdz, the tool LGUP 1.14.3 and the file LGUP_MS330.dll version 0.1.2.7. I connected the phone to the PC and started the process.
At 99% the installation failed. However, I could still enter in download mode. So, I download an older version, the MS33010h_00_1021.kdz and repeated the process. This time I got no error.
However, when I finished, my phone went into hardbrick mode. Check the battery and no problem, even charging perfect inside the phone. I do not think the device has any problem with hardware as it worked before. The only life signal I have now from the device is connecting it via USB to PC and press the VOL +, VOL- and POWER buttons simultaneously. In this way, Windows recognizes it as "unknown usb device".
I would be grateful to anyone who can help me with this problem. Regards
I have the same problem!! Please!!
