Hi, I have a galaxy s7 snapdragon from AT&T that is rooted. If you do not know snapchat no longer works on rooted phones with or without xposed. So in order to get snapchat working correctly on my phone I must use bluestacks to login and then backup snapchat's app data using titanium backup then put the Titanium backup files on my phone and restore snapchat. I used to be able to do this as I had a working rooted bluestacks that allowed me to, I do not have that anymore as i deleted it thinking I wouldn't need it anymore (boy was I wrong). Any workarounds not using that method do not work on my phone because of the way it is rooted (Engineering Kernel) and the way xposed is installed (not uninstallable without using flashfire and messing some things up). I have tried countless rooted bluestacks where either snapchat won't let me login in or titanium backup is stuck on "Detecting SU and Busy Box" even though root checker says I have root access. If anyone could please help me out by finding a working bluestacks with titanium backup on windows 10 with me being able to open snapchat before bluestacks is rooted so I can login, then root bluestacks keeping snapchat data. Or a way to hide xposed and root using xposed or some app so snapchat will work on my phone. And lastly maybe if someone who has the working bluestacks could just login to my snapchat, back it up using TB, and send me the restore files. Any solution is greatly appreciated!!
Cheers!

I've tried two different apps, the second being 'Voodoo OTA Root Keeper' as I would like to be able to unroot my SGS3 running Omega v9 as I can run the new Barclays Banking app.
Even thought root appears to stop working, TB wont work for example, the Barcalys app still detects root?
Any ideas?
hi, is a couple of days that i'm trying to figure out how to succesfully log into snapchat, because the app check for xposed and fail the login.
i've installed the rom from greatslon that have xposed pre-installed.
i keep to read about the same solution: "run the xposed uninstaller (BUT DONT REMOVE YOUR MODULES), log back into Snapchat, and then install xposed framework again" but without an unlocked bootloader and then without a recovery like twrp i can't temporary remove xposed, right?
there is an alternative mode to disable by terminal or to hide it from be detected?
i tryed with rootcloak but doesn't work because app don't check for root but only for xposed.
apologize for my bad english.
Yep need help with same question waiting for replies
I had the same problem but managed to fix it quite easily, however you need another android phone without xposed
On the phone without XPosed:
1. Install Snapchat and log in to it
2. Install Titanium Backup
3. Take a backup of Snapchat
On your Redmi 3
1. Install Titanium Backup
2. Move the backup of Snapchat from the other phone to your Redmi 3
3. Clear Snapchat App Data (by going to Settings->Installed Apps->Snapchat->Clear Data)
4. Open Titanium Backup and restore Snapchat from the backup you made earlier
Now when you open Snapchat on the Redmi 3 it should skip the login screen and jump straight to the camera. You can even update Snapchat and it will stll work, just don't clear the app data again or you'll have to restore the backup again. I i hope this helps

it worked, but not all have a 2° phone that can run snapchat.
Do u know if it would work like that? Disable xposed framework, log into snapchat, enable xposed framework again? And how do i disable xposed framework?

This does not work. It will log you out as soon as you launch the app on the new phone.
Hi all, my SM-G9280 still cannot log into Snapchat. I've rooted the phone (since it doesn't come with Google Play Services). The android vers is 6.0.1 and Baseband is G9280ZCU2BPK1.
My phone is Chinese so it does not come with Google Play Services, and I have to root to get it.
I've tried :
1) RootCloak + Cydia Substrate. Doesn't work for some reason.
2) Xposed + Root Cloak. Installing the xposed framework crashes my phone and causes a bootloop. Recoverable by flashing the stock ROM and resetting phone though.
(EDIT: Xposed + Root Cloak does work now, I've added Snapchat to the list of root-hide apps, but it still does not allow me to log into Snapchat.)
3) Unrooting and Rerooting. Unrooting removes Google Play Services along with the root and Snapchat does not work if Google Play Services is not present.
I would try Titanium Backup with Snapchat except I don't have a second android device avaliable.
Is there any other solutions that I can do to log into Snapchat?
Can someone help me? Please?
Bump, can someone please help me?
Bumped again... Please someone help me with this issue.
First off why would removing root remove Google play services? This is not how this works. From the looks of it you have a china based device that didn't come with Google stuff installed. Take care of that first. Then root after.
Yeah, I have to root in order to get Google stuff.
As far as I know for my device there is no way to get Google Play Services other than rooting.

Well then I would root get the Google stuff and unroot. As they are not connected you should be able to pull it off.
I tried that. But as soon as I unroot Google Play Services dissapears and when I unroot using SuperSU it causes a bootloop, which is solvable by flashing the custom ROM,
So that doesn't work. Or am I doing something wrong with the unrooting process?

You are doing something wrong along the way. If you have a custom rom then you should have a custom recovery as well. At That point all you have to do is flash the rom and a gapps package. Dont flash any root apps. If they are built into the rom then that may be a bit harder to deal with.
I don't have a custom rom...
The way I got Google Play Services and Google Play to work is I rooted, then used a third-party app (Not OpenGApps) to install Google Play Services, the framework, and everything else.
I still have my stock rom, it's just rooted and has google play services that's all.
The fix is easy. Just grab another phone that is rooted but without Xposed Framework, you install SC and login. After login do a backup of the app with Titanium backup then move the backup to you Note 5/Galaxy s6+ and do a restore of the app's data (data has log in token). That's all ?
Now, if you don't own another phone then you have have to install stock ROM, then log in to your SC using the stock ROM without any modding (rooting) yet. After login root the phone and do a backup with Titanium backup. You can restore your Login data anytime after doing the backup. That's all.
I think that the problem with the log in may be because of the Knox counter in the ROM being triggered. Hope it's works for you. I use this exact method to fix the log in issue.

Read the OP.
I don't have another phone to do Titanium Backup.
When I install Stock ROM, Google Play Services and Framework is not installed therefore Snapchat doesn't work.
Would clearing EVERYTHING, then flashing Stock ROM, then getting OpenGApps help? Because if so then I can do that except i do not know how to setup OpenGApps...
Okay, so I got TWRP then flashed TWRP, then got OpenGApps to get Google Play Services.
I then unrooted but it took away Google Play Services and everything as well. I can't login to Snapchat.
Am I still doing something wrong here?
Bump, posted this on a couple of other forums and no one has replied with a solution
Someone help solve please
Bump.
Bump, I've been able to somehow install Xposed and root cloak. I've added Snapchat to the list to hide the root from the app, but it still won't let me log in.
Bump.

Nope
I've posted this in several other forums and no one has helped me, or at least provided a solution.
I have lineage os android 7.1.1 on my galaxy core prime ve(sm-g361h) and installed snapchat and cant login plz what can i do .
Are you rooted? If so, that's what's stopping you.
A root error will tell you that your login failed. If it doesn't say it failed, then something else is the problem. I suggest using Magisk for root since you can hide superuser from being detected.

Is it a connection problem? What error is snapchat giving?
If it's connection, make sure you have internet access allowed for snapchat or something (do you have a firewall?)
From my memory of trying to login to snapchat and the whole root issue was it failed at the verifying device phase. You could also download a safetynet checker app from Google Play to see if you're passing safetynet to help ensure everything is playing nicely.
you could always login on another device then restore it onto your main device.
You will have to use a rom that doesnt have root by default. You then have log in and then flash the root. Mind you that you won't be able to log in on any other device without refreshing from scratch.

well that sucks, because my rom comes default with root. i knew it was about root and once all apps was done downloading i unrooted with supersu and snapchat still didn't work. i hope there will be a way around this.
Not sure if anyone is still having issues with the snapchat log in, but i was able to make it work by using this method.
For some reason, I had no issues logging in with my old Galaxy S4, which is rooted.
So
1. I used Titanium Backup and made a backup of the Snapchat app and settings.
2. copied them to an sd card.
3. inserted the sd card into my current Note 4 unlocked, rooted, running LineageOS 14.1.
4. restored the Snapchat backup on the Note 4.
5. Opened the app and was already logged in and have since updated the app and still all is good.
I have not logged out, so I don't know if that will prevent me from logging back in. I keep a copy of that backup on my sd card just incase.
Hope this might work for others that may still be trying.
Thank you
You're amazing

Just for anyone who may still need this: Use magisk or another application which can hide root from certain apps, and if you have exposed installed (or EdExposed) just go to settings and you will find a toggle to bypass SafetyNet restrictions
Then you should be able to use snap like normal...
Hi guys, I recently rooted my phone, installed Xposed with only 2 modules, greenify and root cloak, I also have titanium backup and adaway for root apps, I've uninstalled everything that requires root.
Now ever since rooting my phone, I'm not able to book Uber or any cab using Google maps, I had no issues whatsoever on non rooted ROM, so just wondering if this is being caused by root somehow or it's Google maps issue. I'm still running stock oxygen os with mm.
Attaching a screenshot to help you understand what it looks like when trying to book a cab, the two tabs at the bottom won't go away. Deleting app data temporarily resolves this but it comes back in no time.
