LG G Watch:
Stock 5.0.2
Google Play services 7.0.95
Nexus 6:
Stock 5.1
Google Play Services 7.0.99.
Android wear: 1.0.5.1724356
The only change on the LG G watch is the addition of minuum keyboard. In any case, at random times over the past weeks I've noticed a massive battery drain where my watch will go from 80% to 20% in less then a hour with out me using it. With no indication on the android wear app as to what is causing it. I downloaded Wear Battery Stats but that has not told me anything in terms of a app that is causing it. I've tried resetting the watch and the phone but the problem continues, which makes me wonder A) if it's a rogue app B) has something to do with either Google Play Services/5.0.2 that is causing it to go crazy. My best guess after reading through the forums is that it's caused by the watch disconnecting temporarily on 5.0.2 thus making it go crazy. I am getting random "Unfortunately Android Wear has stopped" notifications at times, which I have no idea why that is happening.
Can any one help me pinpoint why this is happening and how I can solve it?
The following are the apps that I have installed on the watch:
Minuum
Wear Messenger
Amazon Shopping
Photos Watch Face
Al the cooks
Wear battery stats
weather timeline
flopsy droid
calculator
Keep
RunKeeper
Syu Wear Manager
Facer
Wear Mini Launcher
Lyft
Wear Tip calculator
IF
Calendar
Play music
Fit
Clock
Journey
maps
Wear Speaker
Cerberus
Pocket Casts
Evernote
Duolingo
Sleep wear
Reversi
Thank you in advance!
Love to help as mine is doing the same thing! Especially with a long trip using Google maps navigation on my phone. Very annoying!
I believe that it's not the apps you have installed on your device that causes the drain. For some reason when I install a new app most of the time I will get a battery drain but I found out that restarting the watch after the install fixes the issue and I'm having the same problem when disconnected, constant Force Closing. What phone is your watch connected to? I think it might be a bug with android 5.x I'm running Nexus 5 on 5.1 but before this phone I had it connected to an HTC Desire 610 on 4.4.2 and had no "Android Wear Isn't responding" message.
Edit: Completely missed the first half of your post! haha
So yeah, I think it is a bug with Android 5.1
Thats weird. I wish there was a better way then waiting on Google to fix this. Are any of you experiencing lag on your LG G Watch on 5.0.2 stock? Multiple issues I'm running into basically .
Mine too, down to 40% before lunch is over. It seemed to start with the last google play services updates.
I've tried factory resets, wiping wear app data etc. Still happens.
Also Nexus 6 5.1 Stock.
Maybe it's the memory leak from 5.0? I know you're on 5.0.2 but I am also having the same issue. Okay besides the factory stock apps like keep, timer, alarm, maps, fit, calendar, Amazon Shopping & play music? I have Slumber, tetrocrate, beelink, bidot, compass, Dragon laser, file manager, find my watch, find my phone, instaweather, instant, intellicom watch faces, invaders, new tweet, reversi, ring my phone, speeds, spooky pumpkin crush and world clock. I am thinking that I need to downgrade back to 4.4w
This is really bugging,
One day my Wear decided stop getting updated notifications. It simply stopped updating my Wear and when tried to delete or do actions I got an error of course.
I've tried factory resetting my LG G Watch - no luck.
Uninstalling Android Wear app - no luck.
Wiping cache and data for Android Wear app and Google Play Services - no luck.
I did of course made sure notification listener service allowed for wear app and that all permissions are allowed as required.
(also all those troubleshooting done, no luck: https://support.google.com/androidwear/answer/6090188?hl=en)
My Wear does get broadcasts as I can change watch faces or sync apps and their data.. but just no notifications.
I'm using latest Android N beta on N5X and LG G Watch with latest production 6.0.1.
Help!!!

You may just have to wait for another Android N build or go back to Marshmallow or Lollipop because it's probably a bug in the build as some other people were having the same problems.

Sorry I took so long to respond, my phone instantly died and took forever to charge back up, and my computer was down at the shop getting fixed so I had no way to access XDA. Anyway, here's one instance of someone having the same issue(s) your having:
https://m.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/4k3e4w/android_n_preview_3_notification_issues/
Once again, sorry for such a late response!
For future reference,
The issue was tracked here: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=210488
For me it has been resolved by N Preview 4
Just noticed my watch is downloading a system update, ut has paused as battery is too low, I am already on the December Patch, is this just a security patch or something else?
Wear OS 1.0 with the February security patch.
I look on the internet and see it keeps saying the lg watch style having the Wear OS 2.0. I look at my watch and it is the Wear OS 1.0. I see listed above Oytsejam1138 mention Wear OS 1.0 with the February security patch. It is bragged about how 2.0 is so much better, that it is such a leap forward. So anyone knows with the situation is? I see they sell them with 2.0, at least that is what I believe I am reading.
Another question but a change of topic. I have the lg g4 h811 phone and the lg watch style. I can use my phone to add to the grocery list or my other lists but the watch cannot through the Google assistant interface. On my watch I have to open the "Keep" app. and choose the list I want to add something to then hit + and one by one add to the list. That is so slow. I grab my phone and say "Ok Google, add to my XXXXX list" and is asks what I want to add. I say something, the app. asks "what else" and I go on from there until I tell it I am done. The question is, shouldn't my watch be able to do that? On my watch I can say, "note to self". My watch (typed text) asks me what I want inside the note to be. I tell it and it saves it in the "Keep" app. I can see them when I open my "keep" app on my watch or phone.
Change of topic again. (I should really make different posts and not compile all this here). Suddenly my watch has started to something. When I open the "Keep" app. it starts to sink and it never stops until I close it and randomly when I reopen it right back up again it is all synced up. Lots of times it never syncs.
Yeah, I'm also wondering about wear 2.0. Just got this along with a Huawei Watch 2 Classic, and I cannot get the watch to update to wear 2.0, event though it says everywhere it is supposed to have it.
I contacted technical and they said to first go into settings of the watch and do an update. I went into Setting./ system / about then chose update. The next step they said in the software in your phone OS to disconnect your watch. Now the next step really did not make sense because they told me to factory reset my watch. Now uninstall the app from the phone and reinstall the latest version. Now lpair your watch with your phone and let the watch update.
My results were bad. My wach went back to when I first bought it and I had to reinstall everything I had on it again. Waste of time. Since than I see my watch updated to 1.1. I don't understand because no where does my watch tell me I am running 2.0... It says Wear OS by Google 1.1.
But it does have Home App 2.11.0. xxxx Are they trying to say the term Home App is the Wear OS? then what does the term Wear OS by Google mean.
Same here Wear 1.1, no updates to Wear 2.0
What the hell? Why is nobody talking about this? Well, except from us.
Edit: I think I figured it out. Wear OS reset and renamed Android Wear. So Wear OS 1.1 is the update to Android Wear 2.0. No?
I think your right. I looked at the Wear OS app on my phone and it shows that it is Wear OS 2.11.0.XXXXX and on my phone that version number matches the information given by my watch as: Home App 2.11.0.xxxxxx. I think the watch Home App is the same as saying Wear OS. and our Wear OS on the watch is what you said, version 1.1 is the same as Wear OS 2.1.0.XXXX. I think our watches are up to date. The terminology is screwy. The watch titles one way and the phone app title's the same thing a different way.
On the watch: Home app 2.11.0.xxx
On the phone: Wear OS 2.11.0.xxx
On our watch: Wear OS 1.1
So I've been trying to connect my m20p to my Huawei W1, every time I get to the bit where it says I need to allow Notifications it just crashes and goes back to asking me which account I want to link and the watch just loops "continue set up on phone"
If I skip the the Allow Notification bit, the watch does pair and I can load apps, so I have linked my account, but I can not get notifications to work...
The watch has just updated to the latest version of Wear OS (though it didn't work with the m20p before that either) and works absolutely fine with other phoes, including a Pixel 2 on Pie.
Getting a bit pissed off with this phone tbh.
I found that clearing the cache & data from the google framework fixed quite a few little issues like this
Hi thanks can you let me know how you did this? I could only find cache?
Did that but it is still crashing as soon as I try to enamel notifications on the setup...
Hi
I fixed the wear OS issue by granting access to notifications to the wear OS application.
In settings search notification access > select notification access > toggle wear OS
Brilliant. Thank you!
Hi,
Has someone been abled to use a wear os smartwatch with the phone?
I tried to pair an oppo smartwatch (wear os 2) and the wear os app stays blocked on the launch screen, so I'm unable to pair it.
I also tried with a samsung watch 4 (wear os 3) and the galaxy wearable app launches but when trying to pair, I receive an error mesage saying the watch is not compatible with the phone...
So, for now, no smartwatch for me working with the phone.
If someone has been able to make things work, let me know.
Have a nice day.

Garmin Fenix 6 works a treat so assume the rest of Garmin is ok
Samsung Watch 4 Classic - There is a workaround that i found (can't remember where!) where you install Wear OS first and pair the watch through that then install Samsung Wear etc. (do some googleling ) --- However i still had issues with disconnects and notifications so not perfect
Same kind of answer, Garmin forerunner 945 is working smoothly here.
Galaxy Watch works flawlessly with notifications
I had the same issue with a LG Watch R: downloading Wear OS from the "normal" Playstore, when opening Wear OS I've got a stuck white screen. But I managed to fix it:
- Download Wear OS from OPPO App store (let's call it Chinese Wear OS) and install it but don't run it.
- Download Wear OS from Playstore (let's call it Internation Wear OS) and install it and run it.
After this, I was able to start Wear OS and pair my phone with my watch.
Don't forget to allow both Wear OS (chinese and international) to run on background and pin the international version only.
Never open the "Chinese" Wear OS; it will unpair your watch and you will need to uninstall everything and start all over again.
Also, allow all notifications.
Thanks for your answers.
Well, I'm not going to buy a new watch...
For the Samsung watch, as I'm not able to launch and use the wear os app, I guess the trick will not work.
For now, I've switched to a Fitbit which seems to work.

You just have to reintialize the watch and pair it with galaxy wear and the galaxy wear module for notification. You can restore via samsung cloud via internet and the watch is ok. I have The first galaxy Watch with 4G. I am on tizen and i see your problem is wear os related isn't it?

I see, yes it's wear os related, not Tizen.
Thanks.
Heya,
A question for people here, I have an Oppo Watch connected to my Oppo Find N - I managed to get it working using the chinese version of WearOS along with the normal version.
Everything is working fine but my Google Pay on the watch constantly crashes or is in a setup loop on the watch, anyone else have this problem? If so any workaround to fix it? (FYI Google Pay working fine on the Find N)
Thanks, it worked
My Amazfit gts 2 is also working fine.
With Huawei and Harmony OS nö Problems too.
Found a solution for anyone that is using Samsung's Galaxy 4 Wear OS watches. You have to install the following apps from Playstore less No.4:
1. Samsung Gear (Samsung wearable)
2. Samsung Watch4 plugin
3. Samsung Health (SHealth)
4. Chinese version Wear OS (From appmarket)
Once the above are installed. Reset or reinitialize your watch, wait for the "Welcome" intro to start. Open up SHealth app -> click on 3 dot on the top right -> settings -> accessories -> Select Galaxy Watch4 or Watch4 Classic to pair up. Follow the setup accordingly. It's optional to sign in to SHealth for your watch btw. Everything will work flawlessly after that.
After you're done with the setup, close all apps via recent and you can launch Samsung Gear as per normal. If you're experiencing intermittent disconnectivity, launch Samsung Gear and lock the app in recents. Do not kill the app. I have not experienced any battery drain from it so far.
DO NOT uninstall the chinese version of the Wear OS under any circumstances. It will disconnect your watch and you won't be able to pair it back. Which means you have to unpair via SHealth, reset your watch and go through the entire setup again.
Hope this helps someone.

You could try to pair the smartwatch using the chinese version of wear os. It will tell you to download the international version or open it directly (if already installed) - worked for me.
