I'm looking for someone in the US who would be interested in upgrading my HAM2 to the latest stable Android OS. I need the upgrade because more and more apps don't work on this android version (4.3). I don't have the time or energy to do this myself. This phone will be used as a tablet/media player.
Here is my current phone info:
Model: MT2L03
RAM: 2GB
STORAGE: 8GB
ANDROID: 4.3
EMUI: 2.0 Lite
KERNEL: [email protected] #1
BUILD: MT2-L03V100R001C642B146
I will pay for the service and shipping both ways. Looking for a trustworthy & capable person to do this.
Anyone interested?

Does anyone know when Orange HTC Hero users in the UK are getting the Android update from 1.5 ? Is it to 2.0 or 2.1 ?
I'd like to know if and when this will be available for my phone. Here's my phone details:
Firmware version: 1.5
Baseband version: 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29
Kernel version: 2.6.27-430d1aea htc-kernel and18-2 #959
Build no: 2.73.61.66 CL#82177 release-keys

I don't really need to unlock my phone and would like to wait for an official release. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm a noob and there's no info on the HTC support site.

Definitely. Have a play whilst your waiting, try some different ROMs.
Use BTDAG's guide linked in my signature, it has everything you need to know. I recommend it to any beginner.
Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll wait if it's just going to be a couple of weeks.
Just phoned HTC Support. They said there's no official confirmation of the release details, but unofficially, here's what they said to expect:
* v2.1 to be released. Release scheduled for June. Wouldn't be more specific about date.
* Improved bluetooth implementation, inc file transfer.
* Release likely to comprise of preparatory updates, followed by main ROM update.

Thanks to Geoff M for setting this up. Sorry, but this forum site won't let me post a link.
Guys,
I'm struggling to find solid information on whether it is possible to upgrade my phone to Gingerbread. Can anyone help? Below are my phone's vitals:
System version: Version.4.1.120.ME860.ChinaRetail.en.CN
Model number: MB860
Android version: 2.2.1
Baseband version: N_01.77.05P
Motorola webtop version: OSHWT_U1_4_257.14
Build number: ITFunz_2.2.1_CN_Eclipse_Beta3
Looks like you have a ROM with Chinese origin (I believe it's based on AT&T U4_1.5.2 with Chinese translation). Why don't you ask in Chinese android forums? e.g. http://bbs.mfunz.com/ and bbs.gfan.com
Unfortunately my Mandarin is not very good. I'm in Australia but my phone came from China. I was hoping someone else might have came across the same issue.
since yours is ME860, most likely it's an international Atrix phone. You can try "Fruit Cakes" in the development section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
there's a HKTW version probably you can use.
Hi all,
So I've been S=off for a year or two and have jumped around between ROMs with no issues as far as sprints network is concerned.
I recently switched to T-Mobile (One M8!!) and decided to give my phone to my sis since she lost hers recently. She's on Sprint.
We've been able to register or "activate" the phone online and through the phone. The problem is that calls don't come through. We get getting the "we're sorry you're account couldn't be validated" message. Could it be that my prl is out of date? Do I need to unroot?? Any help is greatly welcomed.
Model: EVO
Android verison: 4.4.2
Baseband version: 1.12.11.0809
Kernal version: 3.4.82-g15c16ed [email protected] #1 Fri Mar 28 23:45:5 PDT 2014
CyanogenMod version: 11-20140329-NIGHTLY-jewel
Build number: cm_jewel_userdebug 4.4. KVT29L d5e6ae85e4
PRL version: 25017
Thanks in advance for your help!
You have to be on a stock ROM to activate the device.

You probably need to flash a stock, sense based ROM to complete activation.
Edit: I see Captain answered just as I did.

Are the stock ROMs available here?

Practically any Sense ROM will work. Just take a look in the development thread and find one to flash. It's highly advised to keep a Sense ROM backup handy in case of future issues. There are things you can do on a Sense ROM that you cannot do on a AOSP ROM like CM.
If you're on the old partition setup you can flash the ROM from this thread:

Hi everyone, new to the forum. With the lack of storage on my Experia z tablet, im having to resort to uninstalling many apps from my device. Ideally I would like to install apps on to my sd card. However I read somewhere online that for this I would have to root the device.
My device is lte version and unlocked to all networks. Originally the device was on vadafone uk. I still would like to have lte functionality. No warranty issues as I bought the device of eBay.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
I purchased my Galaxy S6 new in July 2015 and have never taken an update or modified the device in any way. I'm now at a point where I need to either bring it fully up to date or part with it. I'm curious if this device is worth more to someone who wants/needs/uses custom ROMs than it is to me fully updated.
Please, I'm not looking for wise remarks or insulting replies. I would hate to update this if someone out there is looking for one in it's current state.
