I'm trying to remove vibration from the system buttons and from the app drawer, i have a Lenovo P2 with Marshmallow.
I've read that the option is on "Ringtones and volumes" > "Other sounds" > "Vibrate on touch"... ok cool... the problem is... that option is in fact enabled... but the menu in my phone is completely disabled... here is the image

Answering my own question if someone will need it: if you are in do not disturb mode that menu is completely disabled.

Hi.
I've been using LastPass and the fill in helper for ages now.
Just the other day it has started sowing it's logo in the notification tray but at times when there aren't even log ins for it to fill in.
Any ideas why or how to get rid?

I do not have it yet but it seems you are running a newer version.
Go to Settings > App > Lastpass and uncheck the notification icon.
Unchecking the notification option in Settings will guarantee that you'll never see it again, even when you need it. Careful.

Did you find an option to uncheck in the settings? I'm still on the old version...
Yes, there's quite a few fill helper settings and you can disable. I wouldn't mind if it was there at the right times but often it's not is won't be there when you do want it!
In stock Android previous to 5.0 the VPN icon appears as an annoying persistent key in the top left like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After 5.0 they moved it as a system icon to the right and it can be turned off or adjusted.
It looks like this:
It seems like in Touchwiz they never updated this and the key is still on the left. Even if you're using 5.1.1 (I assume 6.0 will be the same.)
---
2 Questions:
1) Without rooting, is there a way to remove or hide that icon?
2) Is there a way to file a bug or ticket with Samsung to let them know to fix this in the new Touchwiz? Or some other way of contacting them?
1) Long press on the notification and see if you can disable the notifications there.
2) ha Good luck with that.

It's "Android System"
Just have to live with it then.
Hi, can anyone help with this?
Is there a way to disable/re-program the search key on a Chromebook?
My son is autistic and we use the Chromebook for his schooling using a supervised user. We use this to allow him to use specific websites only.
But he constantly presses the search key which slows everything down when we are working with him.
Thanks
How to disable the search key in ChromeOS/Chromebook
Bottom right: Settings (gear) -> Device (section) -> Keyboard Settings.
Use the pulldown menu to change or disable the functionality of the special keys. I switched it to caps lock, for example. Though here you can see it disabled:

If you go into settings > lock screen > shortcuts
and then place flashlight as one of the shortcuts (which I recommend by the way), and lets say, place camera on the other side..
For some reason, the flashlight is (also) toggled by tap rather then swipe like the other widgets.
(same thing for the Do Not Distrub mode)
This causing a lot of accident toggles from edge palm holding and I find my flashlight on by accident multiple times..
I couldn't find any way to change the way the flashlight is toggled, swipe is perfectly fast enough for me and secure enough to avoid accidental toggles.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks!
I had the same issue and after the last update, it went back to swipe.

I've had the same bug and don't get why it's notifying me out of context. To solve it, I disabled the feature altogether. Long click the at a glance widget > Customize > click the gear icon beside "at a glance" > Turn off flashlight.

Thanks. Adding the "at a glance" widget to my home screen and following your instructions produced no flashlight option. I was at my wits end and then I disabled Nova launcher. That produced the "flashlight off" notification on my home screen also. Long pressing that took me to a different at a glance page where the flashlight option showed up.
