[App][Watchface] Landmark - ideal for travellers, photographers - Wear OS Software and Hacking General

Hi everyone
I've made a new watch face which I've named Landmark. Play store link
It's a geo-locating watch face that shows you a random picture from near where you are. The companion app on the phone lets you then find where the picture was shot (maps link) and by who, and to visit the photo on 500px.
The base version is free, and there's no ads, but some extra options can be enabled with an in-app purchase.
Let me know of any problems / requests as I've not been able to test it out on many devices.

Mini guide in Mobile promotion
As true supporter of mobile marketing:angel: I really want to share with my top hints of mobile promotion. Here we go:
Step 1: Familiarize audience with your Application.
One of my recommendations is to test the application providing it users before official publishing. Testing will help to deal with such moments:
[*]Introduce the product to audience.
[*]Form loyalty.
[*]Get information about bugs and missing features of the application.
Step 2: Ensure the online presence
It can be publics about gaming applications in social networks, as well as you can create a separate site dedicated to the program and a description of its capabilities.
Step 3: Provide visibility for your app in Store
General for the App Store and Google Play factors are: installs (both the total number of installations and period surges), the number of launches, the number of user reviews and rate
Also excellent way to promote it is publishing the application in alternative stores.
Step 4: Tell more about your application
Provide the App release to specialized publications.
Step 5: publish reviews on thematic sites.
You can write a review yourself or pay for journalist publications
Step 6: Use incent traffic
As noted above, the position of the application in Google and Apple stores is affected by the number and dynamics of the installs. With the help of specialized services you can get the download of the program, which in theory should improve its position in the stores.
Step 7: Ask users to rate the app
You remember that estimates affect the position of applications in stores. Therefore, build in the interface programs suggestions to evaluate and comment on the product
Step 8: Advertise your app
Use the contextual advertising systems of Google, advertise the application in social networks, show banners to visitors in thematic advertisement areas.
Be Star with your Application and bring use to people
Yes, it is really helpful. Thank you!

Thanks for your feedback.
Like the idea so far!!! i had something like this on Windows Mobile....I used to use it to text and view my phone without having to pick it up.
Question: Do you have to have the full version in order to text? That's what I wanted to try before I make a purchase.
Can you add "Background task" so i can have this on while doing other tasks on my phone?
Thanks.

Just left a few suggestions (under nick "SeNS") on your voting site.
BTW, nice work (bought a paid version)! I especially like a web page design
P.S. I do have a question to you: could you help with web-page design for the open source project(s)? And did you offer some commercial services for the custom web page design (I need a simple "Metro-style" informational home page)?

Dear barrychon,
Thank you for your useful feedback.
Actually the trial version is a quite similar to the full version with limitation with number of photos and contacts, please try the trial before purchasing.
Regarding the text from PC, yes you can send text messages, emails, make phone calls from PC using GoToMyPhone, however, you have to confirm the action from your phone, this is a security concern from Microsoft API.
Regarding the background task, even if the application works in background you can't reach it via socket, the background apps run every amount of time, API does not allow Background apps as service.
Please vote for existing ideas or create your own idea on: http://gotomyphone.uservoice.com/forums/227942-general

Dear SeNS,
I really appreciate your voice on my feedback page, I will try my best to review and include some features if feasible with current API.
Concerning your requests, I may be able to help with open source projects, please check my page on codeplex: http://www.codeplex.com/site/users/view/fakoua
Review my current projects and invite me to your projects or just mail me [email protected].
Concerning commercial services, I really appreciate your offer, but I'm busy with too many projects including GoToMyPhone and MetroAirServer (light IIS over WP8), I can't provide commercial services.
For your metro-style page, you may check the open source section in GoToMyPhone about page, and please refer to: http://aozora.github.io/bootmetro/ a modified theme for Bootstrap (twitter bootstrap) it may help with your design.
Please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Thanks for the quick reply; I'm really appreciate your attention!
Please, check my codeplex profile: https://www.codeplex.com/site/users/view/SeNS
Probably, I'll ask you soon about design of the simple configuration web-page for my new, upcoming project "X10 home server" (not released yet). There is nothing special; just a few controls and input boxes but I really want it elegant and stylish as your configuration pages for the "GoToMyPhone" app

If you are interested please reply to this thread.
Thanks in advanced.
Please read the XDA forum rules regarding posting apps, and make sure you're in compliance with them. The key component is that you're not allowed to use this board as advertising for a paid app, although you're welcome to provide a way to get it for free here and then link to a paid version (not a paid *upgrade*; that's not the same thing) as a sort of "feel free to donate by buying the app from the store" kind of thing.
I haven't tried the app yet, so I don't know how severe the trial restrictions are (something you should be specific about, by the way) but I'm tired of seeing links to paid third-party apps in the forum. Time was, this board was for finding beta testers and publishing links that anybody could use (often to the XAP files themselves; this is a developer community and most of us probably have dev-unlocked phones).
Sorry

Dear GoodDayToDie
I'm so sorry if I didn't follow the forum rules, I know it is not an excuse, but I found a lots of free trial apps with commercial edition, and that's why I created this thread, and as I said, It is not an excuse.
Please feel free to take any action regarding this post if you think it is not following the rules.
Thanks
Eh, I'm not a moderator or anything, I just want to make sure they don't have to get involved. Some of the apps, where the trial is "get the app for free, and if you want to donate/thank us, buy it!", are not a problem at all; it's mostly a matter of making sure people can get the app for free if you want to post it here. There's nothing wrong with asking for donations or anything, it's just not OK to advertise commercial stuff unless it's related to the site.

APP Eyes On The Road

Developed by Samsung and distributed free of charge through Google Play, Eyes On The Road is an application that has as its main aim is to prevent many accidents arising from the use of a phone while driving.

Incoming - Campfire is actually legit

Hi all!
We just launched a new social media app on iOS and it's actually legit. Feedback welcome!
Since our official launch to the iOS app store, many of you have already joined us around the campfire to tell stories of your own. It’s been great seeing how creative the community is, and the general response is positive (4.8/5 avg. app store rating!). Even so, we’re still working hard to improve the platform and bring you the best experience possible.
Here’s what you can expect:
KEY UPDATES
Soundsuite:
SoundSuite lets you add a layer of audio behind your voice to make your captions even more engaging and immersive. Our idea was to help users create experiences within the caption, instead of limiting them to texts and emojis. This update expands Campfire’s core functionality in a way that truly captures the essence of Campfire, which is traditional storytelling meets modern technology. Everyone has that friend or family member that tells the best stories. They probably use descriptive language and animated gestures to convey the emotion behind the story. Our aim is to give you the option to emulate that energy by adding a layer of background audio that compliments the story being told. We’re really excited to see how creative you get with this new update.
Recording Limit Increase (20 to 30 seconds)
We heard the feedback from the community - Campfire users have a lot more to say. We want to give you ample time to get your point across, so we are increasing the recording limit to 30 seconds.
Adding Connections (Friends)
We know that sharing is caring, but sharing with friends is even better. With this update, you’ll be able to add people to your network and ensure that your stories appear on their feed.
In-App Search
This feature is pretty much essential to making your Campfire experience as seamless as possible. You’ll be able to locate whatever you’re looking for
In- App Photo Capture
You now have more options with photos you share on Campfire - upload from your camera roll, or, take the photo from within the app.
Stay tuned for more updates and feel free to try the app out and let me know what you think here!
Are you going to make a version for Android?

What are some interesting, useful, lesser known apps on the Play Store?

I've been curious as to what apps other people know about that many others never checked out or even heard of (i.e. under 100M+ downloads), since I have my own list, too. This is the list of interesting apps I've come across:
Boost for reddit | It loads faster, doesn't crash as much, has advanced functions, and is way more customizable than the official Reddit app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rubenmayayo.reddit
CocoCam (by MagicDmStudio) | It has cute, aesthetic stickers, frames, and filters — it reminds me of PicsArt in some ways, but it's way simpler and is much more affordable.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imendon.cococam
Collage Maker (by Grit Inc.) | I tested out 8 free/nearly free collage maker apps, and this one was the one — free (contains minimal ads), simple, easy to use, and is the best alternative to GridArt!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binghuo.photogrid.collagemaker
Daylio Journal - Mood Tracker | It's an excellent mood, activity, habit, and pattern tracking app — it's incredibly thorough with its advanced statistics, and is very customizable.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.daylio
DRNK - Drinking Games | It's a completely free, fun, and customizable drinking game that features truth or dares. I've gotten hammered a dozen times playing this game with others!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guillaumebadi.drnk
Flo Ovulation & Period Tracker | I honestly don't even use any of the other functions besides tracking just my period, but it's really important and I've been keeping track of it since 2017 now.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.iggymedia.periodtracker
GoodRx: Prescription Coupons | It brings down the cost of my medications by a highly significant percentage, and has a new feature called "GoodRx Rewards" in which you can earn points for coupons!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goodrx
Google Voice | It's basically a burner number that's linked to your Google account — except, it's completely free.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.googlevoice
Pulse Oximeter - Beat & Oxygen | It's a great substitute for Samsung Health's BPM tracker (because Samsung Health sometimes has trouble tracking very fast heart rates).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dungelin.pulseoximeter
Quora — Ask Questions, Get Answers | It's somewhat different compared to other (universal) internet forums, like Reddit or 4chan — for the information I tend to read about, I'm able to find what I need on there.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quora.android
TextNow: Call + Text Unlimited | It's the best burner number app, in comparison to Text Free, Burner, and Sideline, in my opinion. It does have a lot of ads, so be prepared to have an ad blocker ready.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enflick.android.TextNow
Whisper | "Share confessions, thoughts, and stay anonymous (or not); see posts locally and worldwide!" The app's gone to ****, to be honest, but I'm probably always going to have a Whisper addiction.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sh.whisper
You may use App Finder to search for such apps.
You can filter for apps with less than a certain number of downloads or ratings, and then sort by average rating for example. You want to see newly released or updated apps? It has filters for that too. And you can filter for completely free apps without ads.
Maybe most importantly, it shows screenshots and feature graphics directly in the result list, so you may often immediately see if an app looks promising.
