How to reinstall "Okay Google" commands? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

When I first purchased this phone the google commands were working without any issue. For some reason this has become be very crashy/unstable. Sometimes when I use the "Okay Google" command it flat out crashes or it may fail to send a text message or execute an actual command. I often receive an "message failed" when trying to send outgoing texts via the google commands.
How exactly do you reinstall this? I am about to do a factory reset in order to get this working flawlessly again.

[Q] My TBolt doesn't receive/send phonecalls.

It'll receive/send texts perfectly fine (well, it'll give me an error but it still sends it).
It happens so often, it starts to get frustrating.
Does this happen to anyone, if it does, any help?
(If it helps, I'm running BAMF Sense 3.0 RC3).
I can't use the phone function most of the time. When this happens, I usually have to do a battery pull, or a soft reset. Usually when I do a data wipe, it fixes the problem.
But how can I stop this problem from happening and make my phone reliable again?
You never explained exactly what it is that's happening that is making your phone unusable. How does it not send/receive calls?
sorry for the clarity.
but basically when I receive calls, they go straight to voicemail.
when dialing an outgoing call, it won't ring and the phone will say "call was lost", even when I have full service.

Have you try on stock rom and does data work ?

I just wiped everything clean. Data works fine and I'm able to send texts (but I receive a warning) and receive them too. Phone calls don't work. Do you think its a problem with the phone itself?

[Q] How to Set Up Google Voice Voicemail on Note - Errors out

Has anyone gotten Google Voice working on their AT&T Note? It errors out when I try to switch to it via the app or through settings -> call -> Voicemail service.
Mine works just fine without setting it up at all. I get visual voicemail and everything.
Reinstall and run the setup by launching the app

I got the same error over and over, finally got it working by manually putting in my google voice number into the call forwarding settings, worked right away

Same issue here.
I'm having the same issue.

Actually i take that back, i tried again and it worked for some reason.
I had this problem in order for me to fix it i went to google voice from my computer, deleted my phone from the list in google voice and then set my phone up again from my computer. after that it all worked fine.
Similar problem - just Error with no more information and an OK/Cancel button
Re-install didn't work.
I ended up using the code from GV to "activate" the phone and that set all the forwarding numbers. It appears to be working, but doesn't say that Google Voice is the provider.
Still would be nice if MMS would work with AT&T/GV, especially since the messages just get dropped.
I had the same issue. Make sure it says ATT in carrier when you log into google voice (the website). If it doesn't, try to redetect it. Mine still showed Sprint for 48 hours before it detected I was actually on ATT.
Also entered the codes as mentioned on this site:
http://kalsey.com/2010/10/using_goog...cemail_on_att/
The important part to save you a click through:
"Second, open up your phone’s dialer and dial the following, replacing 1234567890 with your new Google Voice phone number…
*61*1234567890# (then hit send)
*62*1234567890# (then hit send)
*67*1234567890# (then hit send)
You should see a message appear on your phone after each time you press send. This will set up your AT&T account to take all calls when the phone is busy, when you decline a call, or when your phone is turned off or out of range and forward the call to your Google Voice number."
After doing the above I was able to change Carrier in settings to Google Voice without any problem.
Alternatively, you should be able to dial *004*xxx-xxx-xxxx# (where xxx-xxx-xxxx is your Google Voice phone number) and press call and it will automatically set everything up as well.

This is what I did and it worked perfectly.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note.
Using either the single code or the individual codes, the forwarding numbers are all fine, but I still cannot change the provider to Google Voice. I don't know that that hurts anything.

caderoux, you should be fine. As long as the forwarding numbers are there it should automatically go straight to your G Voice inbox. You can always call yourself to double check...
Just had to go into Settings->Call->Call Forwarding and set the "Forward when unanswered" to my Google Voice number. For whatever reason, "When busy" and "when unreachable" were set properly, but the "when unanswered" wasn't being set by the setup process. However, voice worked fine once that was manually set.
I was also having problems manually setting it up, so i called the *004*xxx-xxx-xxxx# code with my google voice number and its working perfectly now.
Setting up through Gvoice did not work.
Dialing the code on my phone gives me a "call cannot be completed" message.
I had to go into Settings->Call->Call Forwarding and manually set all three forwarding numbers.
Edit: I just realized I was missing the # on the end of my gvoice number. The code worked when I put it in correctly.

Can't receive text messages from Google Now

Hello, my wife received a Android Wear watch and while learning it, tried to send me a text message via "Ok Google". I didn't receive the message. We later found out it worked when she sent it to other people, only my phone didn't work. I later find out it will not send through Google Now on her phone either.
The messages show in her SMS app, but I don't receive them. If she types me a message, I will receive it. Is this a problem on her phone or my phone? Any ideas?

Phone problem

When making a phone call I get the prompt "Google voice or carrier" and have to select carrier to complete the call. This just started happening, how do I disable Google voice?

[question] How to get rid of the "messages has not been sent" prompt?

Hi. A long time ago I have sent a group message and got the feedback prompt "messages has not been sent".
I have ignored this as only two of the recipents were wrong.
Now I don't have that message anymore on my phone but I keep getting the prompt.
The phone shows it each every hour or two. What's worse it pushes it to my smatwatch which rings as if I got a real sms. It's very iritating.
I have wiped out the cache of the sms app but it didn't help.
So the question is how to fix this?
I don't want to loose all my sms messages - many of them are important to me.
You may have to delete the problem message. I have done this by long-pressing it and then selecting to delete it (I just checked that this works on Google Messages). In theory, that should stop it from trying to send it to the bad contacts... of course, it also means you'll lose the message, but it's only one, so it may be ok?
