Help with rooting my Moto E 2nd Gen LTE Boost Mobile phone - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing well. I tried rooting my Moto E 2nd Gen LTE from Boost Mobile and everything was going fine (was using a guide from XDA - great guide by the way!) and I got to the point of installing SuperSU and for some reason my phone would not install it. Once I tried this, I got stuck in a boot loop and even though I have access to TWRP and the bootloader is unlocked, I haven't found a way to get the phone working again. I tried to do a factory wipe and to the wipe the cache and everything but still it has been to no avail. Is there a way I can install a ROM on it still (it could even be the stock one, I just want to make it work again) or do you think I bricked it? Thanks for all the help!

Hello, thank you for responding! Would this be an appropriate stock ROM for my Tmobile version? https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015/general/stock-firmware-images-t3049047\
Edit: Nevermind, the file isn't there anymore. I'm having trouble finding the stock ROM, any advice on where to look for it?
It says its for the Moto E 4g LTE 2nd gen, but I'm not sure if there are differences based on what carrier one has.

[Q] No Imei, No Service

Hi guys!
I have a Z Ultra GPE (model C6806) on which I have tried to install CM11. Everything is working fine except the most important thing: I have no phone service. When I check the status, it's returning a blank IMEI.
I have tried to go into CWM (v6.0.5.1), tried to wipe the cache, date, etc, reformat all the partitions... then reinstalled CM11. No luck. Did all that again, this time installed the latest nightly build. No luck.
I really don't know what to do anymore. My phone is useless now.
Please help!!
PS
I'm new to Android and CM. Please give me instructions I can understand. Do I need to install a new kernel? I don't know how to do that. Do I need a modem update? I found this post - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783288 - but it says not to flash. And I wouldn't know how to do that anyway.

As I said in the other thread I suspect you flashed the togari version and not the togari_gpe version of CM. Just tlash the _gpe version over top (data and cache wipes) and all should be good

No, I flashed the correct CM, togari_gpe.
Anyway, since I don't have much to lose, I tried to flash togari and see what would happen. CWM wouldn't let me.

I'm not a developer but i'd tried all the solutions suggested everywhere but it's not working either until i extracted the modem from ROMs that work for me (with IMEI/Baseband) and suddenly everything work like it should.
View attachment FD_C6833_Patch4.4-761.zip is the original zip i obtained from thread somewhere here in xda few months ago. (Forgotten where) For reference only
View attachment C6802_Modem_Patch.zip is my version with all the files needed for cm11 to work with my no baseband/imei z ultra <-- Flash This
I am pretty sure it will work with other z ultra variant, just replace the files in /etc/ and /system/ within the zip with files from the rom that work for your device and flash it via recovery. Hope my solution work for you.
Edit: Sorry about the confusion. It's 6am i'm still awake..

[q] 5.0 gpe problems please help immedialy!!!!!

So I saw this lollipop rom(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716306) and I was waiting for the official one from htc but this had what I wanted. It said I need to have the 4.4.4 firmware but I didnt know how to get it because I couldnt get the ota update on stock for a certain reason and so it flashed the 4.4.4 gpe rom then after that I flashed the 5.0 rom but now I have no wifi and when I reboot its in the bootloop and I dont know what to do now. I would appreciate it if anyone could try and help me. Thank you.
If you just flash a GPe rom it dosent mean you flashed the firmware. I was actually having this same problem so I just flashed the US Dev Sense 4.4.4 firmware and the Lollipop rom worked fine.
Guide on Flashing Firmware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/vomerguides-m8-bootldr-unlock-s-off-t2800727
Scroll all the way down and look for the 3.28.1540.5 firmware and flash that.

I need this too - the one copy I found on here says the link is no longer available on MediaFire... Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried installing a SuperSU update via ADB sideload from the stock recovery but it sticks at 11%. Not sure what to do now, as even the "factory reset" does nothing to stop the boot loop.
HELP! This is my daughter's tablet, and I would REALLY like to get it working again.

My moto e xt1022 won't go past the "warning : bootloader is unlocked" screen
I rooted my phone earlier this year ,it went without a hiccup I was running stock rom android 5.1.1 lollipop, but yesterday it began behaving strangely it was lagging and I couldn't even get into settings to clear off the cache from storage ,so I pushed the power button to lock it and it restarted but nothing happened for a few minutes the screen was blank ,I panicked and force restarted it ,since then it was stuck in the "warning: bootloader has been unlocked" .....I was able to go into fastboot and from there I could go into the "custom recovery" [TWRP 2.8.70] I first tried clearing the dalvik cache and booting the phone normally but it didn't work ,then I tried factory resetting it from the recovery then toobit didn't work.... I'm out of my city and my phone is my only means of communication pls help me resolve this issue ...what should I do ? Thanks!
Try flashing latest twrp 3.x versions and then again clean flash the rom.
Normal working roms can lag due to n number of reasons. Try clean flashing the rom again.

Last comment of the link mentions which one you should flash. ( Guessing by your name i think you are from India only.)
For flashing you can use twrp. Look for flash guides in moto e general discussion section. You have to do little search and reading.

Seems like you need to install a new rom on your phone. Do you have a custom recovery? If yes, what recovery do you have?
I can give you a new rom and instructions on how to install it, but you will need CWM or TWRP for that.
Cheers,
Kuba P.

You need to do some research before you make things worse. You will have to have a pc. Then it is a simple matter of flashing the device which will wipe it completely.

Watch these YouTube video. You get flashing procedure in SP flash tool and download link of stock rom in video description.
You need SP flash tool to flash your android.
Download from here
Sorry for saying this , but you should be aware that Rooting a device has its own ups and down/
You should have researched more and must have had a custom recovery incase things go awry.
Now that things have gone bad , the only option you have is flash a rom for your device using SP Flash Tool.
Google for your phone model and download firmware and flash the rom
If you have any trouble finding a rom or flashing it , please feel to contact me.

Make sure you have driver for your device installed properly.
Guys Thanks a lot. I have successfully flashed my phone with SP tools. It has been a great experience for me as I did it for the first time even I was really excited. I really knew it that u guys help will really work. Thanks once again and love u all. Now I wont dare to flash my phone with custom rom well I will install CMW first haha
lesson learned.
